'rAsAththi onna' of vaidhEki kAthirundhAL is the PJ song I love most. He had two more gems from the same movie, 'kAthirundhu kAthirundhu' solo and 'inRaikku Enintha AnandhamE' duet with VJ.

ஆடி வெள்ளி தேடி இன்பம் பாடல் தான் தமிழ்த் திரையிசைப் பாடல்களிலேயே முதன்முதலாக அந்தாதி முறையில் உருவாக்கப் பட்டது என நினைக்கிறேன். அதாவது ஒரு தொகுதி முடியும் வார்த்தையை அடுத்த தொகுதியின் தொடக்கக்கமாகவும் வைத்து பின்னப் பட்டப் பாடல். பாடல் உருவாக்கத்தில் பலப் பல புதுமைகளை செலுத்தி உருவாக்குவதில் ஊன்று கோலாக இருந்த சிறந்த படைப்பாளி பாலச்சந்தர்.. சித்தர்கள் செல்லும் இடமெல்லாம் பல அதிசயங்களை நிகழ்த்திக்கொண்டே செல்வார்களாம். அதுபோல, பாலச்சந்தர் தான் பணிபுரியும் இசையமைப்பாளர்கள், பாடல் ஆசிரியர்கள் எல்லோரிடத்திலும் யாருமே இதுவரை பெறாத பொக்கிஷங்களை பெற்றுக்கொண்டே சென்றிருக்கிறார்.
பாலுவை விட மலேஷியா எப்படி பலப் பாடல்களில் மண்ணின் மனத்தை, கிராமிய உணர்வை கொண்டு வந்தாரோ அதுபோல, யேசுதாசை விட ஜெயச்சந்திரன். மேகம் கருக்குது பாடலை சமிபத்தில் கேட்ட போது, ஆரம்பத்தில் ராஜாவின் குரல் ஒலிக்கிறது. இந்தப் பாடல் முழுவதுமே ராஜா பாடியிருந்தால் எவ்வளவு நன்றாக இருந்திருக்கும் எனத் தோன்ற வைக்கிறது முதலில் வரும் இரண்டடி வார்த்தைகளில் ஒலிக்கும் ராஜா குரல். எப்போது யேசுதாஸ் பாட ஆரம்பிக்கிறாரோ அந்த நொடியே அந்தப் பாடலின் நேட்டிவிட்டி உணர்வு காற்றில் மறைந்து, ஒரு புரோஃபெஷ்னல் தன்மை வந்துவிடுகிறது. ராஜா குரலை தவிர்த்து அந்தப் பாடலின் முழு உணர்வை பிரதிபலிக்கும் ஆளுமை கொண்டவர்கள் மலேஷியாவும், ஜெயச்சந்திரனும் மட்டுமே.

Anyway, having said that, I love P.Jeyachandran. Seriously, he belong to the category of "didn't sing too many song, but whatever he sang was awesome".

It is not like that at all, I started a thread for PJ back in TFM , i think in 2001 but it some how it got deleted, and comparing Mano with PJ is insane!
