If u are TOO GOOD IN READING HEAVY NOVELS...

I shall recommend

1. ponniyin selvan (kalki)
2. sivagamiyin sabatham (kalki)
3. tharaiyil irangum vimaanangaL (small novel, but itneresting......by indumathi)

thats all I have read so far in tamizh..

but all 3 are worth reawding

Recently Vikatan publication published a book called "Sirakugalin neram" written by Kaviko Abdul Rahman. A fantastic book explains the religious beliefs and necesity of tolerance between religions. Their earlier publication "vanthargal ventrargal" by Madan also a good book, which explains Mughal history in a very interesting manner

If u want a good novel, then read "Sila Nerangalil Sila manidhargal"-Jeyakanthan. Just one of his many gr8 novles. Simply wonderful. Don't wantch the movie, it isn't even hals as god a the book!

I think I have Sila Nerangalil Sila Manithargal in PDF format(as also a number of Jayakanthan works). If anyone is serious, let me know. I will look up my hard drive.

Surya, I did watch the movie Sila Nerangalin Sila Manithargal many many years ago... sadly, it did not impress me much. maybe should hv read the book as you've suggested.
