Mallipattinam 'Manora' was not utilised properly.

I agree with only first point--Theru koothu. . Stunt scenes are enjoyable and natural. especially the underground one.
Thangam--- Scene was adequately handled.

"When director Krishnan Panju approached us and asked a song with the situation of a weaver girl singing with operating the handloom, we compossed a sandham as 'chatak... chatak... chatak... chatak..' and then change to 'thathara... thithara... thathara... thithara..' then asked Pattukkottai Kalyana sundaram to write the song for that.

I told him 'idhuvarai un sondhaththukku ezhuthinnai, ippo indha sandhaththukku ezhudhu'. Normally Pattukkottai will write a song within some hours. But for this song he took three days and come with the pallavi as...

தபால்காரன் துரையும் பரிமளாவும் காதலர்கள். அவளைக் காதலிக்கும் அவளது பள்ளி நண்பன் துக்காராமின் காதல் கடிதங்களைக் கொண்டு வந்து கொடுத்துத் தான் பரிமளாவுக்குக் காதலனாகிறான் துரை. வெள்ளியம்பலம் என்பவன் பணப் பேராசை கொண்ட பித்தன். இந்த இளம் காதலர் ஒரு நாள் தனிமையில் பேசிக் கொண்டிருக்கும் போது, தன் சகோதரி தங்கம் இறந்த்தாயும் அவளைப் புதைத்த்தாகவும் குறிப்பிடுகிறான் துரை. அதைக் கேட்டு புதையல் இருக்குமிடத்தைத் தேடி வந்த வெள்ளியம்பலம் அவர்களைக் கொடுமைப் படுத்துகிறான். அவனது செய்கைகளுக்குக் கருவியாகிறான் துக்காராம். ஆனால் நடுவிலே தன் காதலி வேறொருவனைக் காதலிப்பது தெரிந்து துக்காராமின் மனம் மாறுகிறது. தன்னையே தியாகம் செய்து கொள்ளவும் துணிந்து விடுகிறான். கடைசியில் தங்கம் என்று துரை குறிப்பிட்டது அவனது காலஞ் சென்ற தங்கையை என்பது தெரிகிறது. “ போதுமென்ற மனமே பொன் செய்யும் மருந்து“ என்ற பழமொழி தான் கிடைக்கிறது புதையலிலே. வெள்ளியம்பலம் ஏமாறுகிறான். சிறை செல்கிறான். காதலர் களிக்கின்றனர்.

இந்தத் திரைப்படத்தில் வரும் "விண்ணோடும் முகிலோடும்" பாடல் அனைவருக்கும் பிடித்த பாடல். இந்தப் பாடலை, அகில இந்திய சிவாஜி மன்றத்தின் முன்னாள் பொதுச்செயலாளரும், முன்னாள் எம்.எல்.ஏ-வுமான திரு.வி.ராஜசேகரன் அவர்கள், எந்த இசை நிகழ்ச்சிக்கு சென்றாலும் தன்னுடைய விருப்பப் பாடலாகக் கேட்டு மகிழ்வார்.

Just happened to see a comment in a different thread that a new history has been created by the legend Mr.M.G.Ramachandran's Classic Blockbuster film Nadodi Mannan Daily 4 Shows in Saradha theater @ coimbatore. Collection status from 29th March till 1st April Noon was Rs.1,00,000 is what it was written and also the theater capacity of around 800. While that is definitely a good show as far as Nadodi Mannan is concerned, I was curious to check Vasantha Maligai collection for first week in Albert (Vasantha Maligai was Daily 3 shows only and theater capacity of around 1100 seats, Sunday evening being HouseFull) and asked Mr.Mariappan on the same. He was magnanimous to share the collection and I was informed that Vasantha Maligai collected Rs. 3,25,000 for the first week.

The question is, I am unable to understand which one to call "Vasoolil Pudhiya Varalaaru"? Why our people are not sharing the collection statistics when NT film is released?

I would request someone who could do this job as I am seeing lot of Myth being spread as if the box office belongs only to Mr.M.G.Ramachandran. I think it is high time that we should come out with statistics on re-releases.

Dear Sowrirajan sir. The legends are gone but still they guide us from heaven. We are interested in promoting our NT's immortal image on acting among the generations to come and we are partially successful in our objective as fortified by the thunderous victory of Karnan, though not appreciably followed by Thiruvilayadal or VM for obvious reasons. Nowadayas a rerelease of an old classic, the preference goes to NT's movies as the movies are also immortal with time due to their story content and the acting magnetism of NT to pull crowd back to theatres. If we again go back to the primitive comparisons of collection statistics with other actors I hope and it is my personal opinion that we will be wasting our time and energy. Let us have the singlemost objective of immortalising the name and fame of our NT who rules the roost even now.
