The canned ones and Packed food has lots of preservatives so it spoils the taste of the food. I tried hakka nooddles and it was great

frozen veggies
hi everyone,
i don't get much fresh vegetables in patel shops they are always finished. i am thinking of taking frozen vegetables. are they good? bec once i tried methi which which has less leaves and more stems. just hoping if anyone has an experience pls share it. thanx

Hi deepali,
The swad frozen vegetables are comparitively better than other brands, i liked their drumstick,chopped methi,peas very much.

Lakshmi brand is good. If it is not avaliable my second choice would be Swad.

hi all,
we like Deep brand patra and their methi parathas are good too!
i prefer the unbranded tuar dal as the branded ones have different size of lentil(paruppu) each time!

How do you store chana dal? I found that it starts getting infested by some insects within a few weeks after opening the packet.
I've started freezing it now.

Good Idea shantha, I too freeze a few of the dry item which I use rarely, like besan, chana dhal, some lentils(which i get from India). Also it is a good idea to freeze nuts like cashewnuts, almonds,walnults if ur r in a hotter region to prevent them from going rancid.
