Naan Avan Illai was one of my favourites. He did some memorable devotional movies too like Aathi Parasakthi, Kandhan Karunai and Annai Velankanni.

And he was still a charmer in his later years. I remember him doing an interview in the early 1990s in Singapore; he managed to make the young, female interviewer blush by subtly complimenting her looks.
