Special focus program on INDIA on PBS...

The world's largest democracy and a rising economic giant, India is now as well known across the globe for its mastery of computer technology as it is for its many-armed gods and its famous spiritual traditions. But India is also the world's most ancient surviving civilization, with unbroken continuity back into prehistory.

PBS will broadcast an Interesting TV documentary on India on Mondays Jan 5, 12 and 19, from 8 to 10 PM, Total 6 hours.

    PBS

    KUHT / Channel 8 - CHANNEL 8

last night's show - in the first episode, the origins of "non-violence" as a philosophy from the times of Chandragupta Maurya was discussed in detail!! Buddhism's sources/origins were explored as well

the interesting part was - the whole narration was punctuated with references to actual archaeological findings/evidences to support the same!
