Thamizh Pechu Engal Moochu Chuttigal

Thamizh Pechu Engal Moochu Chuttigal has created a platform for children in the 8-15 age group, to showcase their oratorical skills. Auditions were held in various cities such as Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Tirunelveli, Salem and Tiruchi. From 160 orators, the best 50 made it to the finals. These children will have to chose pieces from literary works and speak on them. Extempore skills will be judged on topics such as ‘Penn Viduthalai Vendum’, ‘Anbirkkum Undo Adaikkum Thaazh’ and ‘Meiporul Kaanbatharidu.’ Each participant will have five minutes to speak. Judges are writer/politician Subha Veera Pandiyan and Prof. Parveen Sultana.
