Is that the one by Vijayasingham and group?
By the way, you may need to revise the poll title. Performance-na parpala performance irukku.

Aiyo, antha todarbu vittu remba naalachu. It's basically self-glorification event (giving parattu parisu to each other) rather than sit down and analyse NT's achievements.
Am not sure about the world performance day thingy, coz you can give NT that appreciation but only for India. I dare not declare him as the greatest actor in the world. All I can say, enakku therinji, he is up there with Brando and Lord Olivier, and in many instances better than Brando. But enakku terinji. Folks from other countries might have their own version of NT to compete.
Anyway, suggestion: World Screen Actor's Day. or World Screen Performer's Day.

It doesnt matter if there are "better" actors. What I am suggesting is something like Fathers Day, Teachers Day, etc... Behind their origins there lived a real person. That person may not be the best father or best teacher in the world, but he was the world to someone.
We could have an actors day when we celebrate all actors who have been providing entertainment in our otherwise boring lives. :P

If you say like that, then why the heck not. Let's initiate it. Now it seems like great idea. Cheers.

Why "Acting"?
Teachers day, not Teaching day illa? Athey mathiri, World Screen Actor's Day.
