Before this match, the bulgarians tried every little dirty trick to put off Anand.
Due to the delay of his flight, he requested to postpone the tournament by 3 days which was refused. So he travelled from Frankfurt 40 hrs by car to reach Sofia. Yet despite his tiredness he went on to win the tournament.
And before the tournament, Topalov's manager accused that Anand doesn't deserve World champion title and he is simply resting on his laurels. He even said that Topalov would refuse to talk during the match. Indha vetti pechukellaam serthu vechaarula aapu
