Had been to the MSVtimes programme. It was excellent. The orchestra Savithiri's Ragamalika did a perfect job. Dr. Anand Chellappa [Medical Practitioner] settled in USA and a trained accordion player had just come down for this and there was one violinist Mr.Kalyan who had worked with MSV, specially joined the orchestra and it was treat to listen to their exploits. The singers were Kovai Murali, Prabakar, Usha Raj and Sudha [people who do frequent stage and television shows] and well they made people go nostalgic!
MSV was there and he honoured Mr.Rosario the trambone player. While MSV as usual finished his speech in few sentences, Rosario was emotional and he talked about MSV and his works in great deal.
The songs that were played
அத்தான் என்னத்தான் [no vocal. only violin, what a pice that was!]
தூக்கமும் கண்களை தழுவட்டுமே [once vocal and once through violin, people must have felt slipping into sleep]
[The accordion and violin pieces were masterful and got a standing ovation]
[Goosebumps stuff ! Many had tears in their eyes]
சொல்லத்தான் நினைக்கிறேன் [one of the commity members of MSVtimes, Mr.Sabesan sang that was simply too good]
To put it short, an evening of sublime music feast! The fact that this programme was staged in front of knowledgeable audience made it more great and will remember this for long time to come!
Regards
