We had reported earlier that the shoot of Jilla, directed by Neason and starring Vijay, Mohanlal and Kajal Aggarwal has almost been completed. The team is now busy with the post production work for the film.

On that note, it is being reported that Vijay is currently at the four frames studio, dubbing his portions for the film.

There is one more song to be filmed and this would be the team's last outing for Jilla. The movie is all set for release for Pongal next year. (January 2014)

Vijay is gearing up for his upcoming Pongal race with his compatriot Ajith. This is an incident that creates huge excitement among the Tamil audiences.

While ‘Jilla’ is been in full throttle to release it out for Pongal, the actor would be banking on to get back his top position again. Even though his films have worked extremely well, but the standard that he has set for himself for some reason hasn’t been reached for quite a while now.

In a recent time, the actor has been reportedly asked the media to keep low profile with his upcoming film. In a bizarre turn, the actor last few films have been caught onto huge media controversy thus now the actor wants to make sure that doesn’t happen again. The actor has reportedly asked the reporters not to write unwanted gossips about his film and subsequently has asked the media to leave him off from any controversy.

Looks like the actor has gone a little over board with his cautiousness!

When the much anticipated "Jilla" is all set to wrap up its shooting, the lead stars had a moment where Mohanlal shown the title design and also told the storyline of his future project, "Lailaa O Lailaa".The film is directed by the Hit maker director, Joshiy and scripted by one of the popular Bollywood writers, Suresh Nair. Vijay was totally excited after hearing the storyline and conveyed his happiness to Mohanlal. In meantime, Jilla is expected to be released during Pongal 2014

Jilla Press release

Jilla starring Vijay and Kajal Aggarwal is making news daily and the latest is Vijay and Mohanla fought 40 stunt men in a 100 acre corn field in Hyderabad. R.B.Coundhary got special permission and put up a set which costs 1 crore to shoot that particular scene in that corn field and the action sequence took place for 9 days with a helicam along with 6 different cameras. The team says this scene will be grander to watch in the big screens.
Jilla is directed by RT.Neason and produced by Super Good Films. Music is composed by D.Imman and the album is getting released on December 21st whereas the film is scheduled for Pongal release.

The theatrical rights of Vijay's Jilla for the Coimbatore circuit have been grabbed by Cosmo Films. They recently distributed Arrambam successfully in this circuit and are all geared up to repeat the success with Jilla too. Jilla is slated for a Pongal release and the movie's filming has been completed. Once the censor formalities are completed, the film's exact release date would be announced.

We hear that Cosmo Films are looking at around 60 screens to release Jilla and this number is more than the screen count of Arrambam.

Nesan directs this mass entertainer also featuring Mohanlal and Kajal Agarwal.

Kandaangi has a retro song-feel-a-like, hence I feel Vijay voice suits the song. Besides he is one of the few actors who can actually sing, even without usage of autotune.

Cannot agree more. Infact my personal opinion is that after a long time we have a Vijay movie album which has songs that you hum immediately after first hearing. I loved Vijays voice in kandaangi. Overall I feel Imman has stayed with the mood and backdrop of the movie. I also feel that some songs will gain popularity after watching the video.

the best thing about Kandangi was Vijay's voice, it was different. I was hesitant Vijay singing melody but after listening to the promo, its his voice that makes this song more memorable.

IlayathalapathyVijay hosted an event today to honour his initial producers, who helped him get the introduction he had. He invited the producers ‘Vasantha Vaasal’ M Rajaram, ‘Rajavin Parvayile’ Soundarapandianand ‘Once More’ CV Rajendran and presented them with a cheque of Rs 5 lacs each. Mr Balaji Prabhu, the son of late producer M Baskar, who produced Vishnu and Mrs. Shantha, wife of late KRG, the producer of Minsara Kanna also were the recipients of Vijay’s love.
“I wanted to do this in my office but my manager, Selvakumar forced me into hosting this event,” Vijay said.
He added, “Also, you might all wonder why now and not for so long. But, I think doing a good thing can be done anywhere and anytime. It’s just that, the thought occurred to me all of a sudden and I wanted to do it right away.”
Ask him the reason behind this kind gesture of his, the Jilla actor says, “We actors and technicians put only our work into a project. But, producers, put the money, they earned through their hard work, into our project. It makes me sad when I hear a producer is struggling. They are like mothers and they take care of us during a project.”
He summed up saying, “Success reaps happiness, whereas, failures offer experiences. With this thought, I wish all the producers the best of luck.” He also wished that more such events happen in the coming days.
However, the surprise of the evening was the Jilla team, including producer RB Choudary, director Neason and composer Imman, along with the hero of the evening, Vijay, also launched the music of their movie amidst the presence of the other producers.
Talking during the event, Imman recollected that it was Vijay who introduced him and thanked the team for giving him an opportunity to work with the star again. Neason was equally grateful for the opportunity and expressed his happiness over working with Vijay and Mohanlal in the same film.
The formal audio launch will happen on 21st December 2013.

கேரளாவுல விஜய்க்கு நல்ல மாஸ் இருக்கு. நீங்க அங்க சூப்பர் ஸ்டார்... மலையாள ரசிகர்களுக்கு ஜில்லா எந்த மாதிரி ட்ரீட்டா இருக்கும்?
