Theeya Velai Seiyyanum Kumaru (English: You've to work hard, Kumar!) is an upcoming Tamil comedy film directed by Sundar C. and produced by Kushboo Sundar starring Siddharth, Hansika Motwani and Ganesh Venkatraman, with Santhanam as the comedian. The shoot started in January 2013. The trailer of this film has been released.

Theeya Velai Seyyanum Kumaru - Funny ride

Sundar C's return as a director is really paying off, following the success of Kalakalappu, Theeyaa Velai Seyyanum Kumaru is a funny movie that will tickle ur bone, unless you are too fine to laugh.

Siddarth is the hattrick hero after Vijay Sethupathi. KSE and Udhayam NH4, and he fits the bell as the nerdy type. Hansika looks more mature and glamourous than previous and she has improved since her debute in tamil. Santhanam and Santhanam2 (Balaji) provides the laughter throughout the movie. This is another movie like OKOK thats very dependent on Santhanam, and he doesnt dissapoint and he does act better in this movie than previous ones. Ganesh Venkatram is apt as the romeo at the office that all women desire to be with. Samanthas cameo was good. other cast did play their parts convincingly.

I like the songs, they might not make an impact for others. They are not too noisy or too melodious and quiet.

I am looking forward to next Sundar C movie. Expectations are 2 times higher after Kjalakalappu and Theeyaa Velai Seyyanum Kumaru.

Should say that i'm disappointed may be i expected a lot from sundar.c considering previous film(Kalakalappu).
This film had its moment but over-all I find this movie is missing something to say that it fantastic of the aaromale awesome.

Music: A big let down.
Cinematography & editing: Topnotch
Screenplay: All twists are pushed to 2nd half could have had some in 1st half as well to strike a lil balance.

Verdict: A one time watch

முதல் வார கலெக்*ஷனே தமிழ்நாட்டுல 10 கோடியை தாண்டிடுச்சு, ஆந்திராவிலும் படம் நல்லா போய்க்கிட்டிருக்கு. என்னோட கேரியர்ல இதுவரை நான் நடிச்ச படங்களோட முதல்வார கலெக்*ஷனை இந்தப்படம் முறியடிச்சிடுச்சு. அந்த வகையில எனக்கு ரொம்ம சந்தோஷமா இருக்கு.

பொதுவா நம்மளோட சந்தோஷத்தை மத்தவங்க கிட்ட ஷேர் பண்ணிக்கிறது ரொம்ப நல்ல விஷயம், அதனால தான் இந்த சந்தோஷத்தை நான் உங்க கூட ஷேர் பண்ணிக வந்திருக்கேன்.
எல்லாரும் ஏன் நீங்க தமிழ்ப்படங்கள்ல நடிக்கிறதில்லேன்னு ஒரு 10 வருஷமா கேட்டுக்கிட்டிருக்காங்க.., அதுக்கு நான் நல்ல டைரக்டர்களையும், நல்ல ஸ்க்ரிப்ட்டையும் தேடி ஓடிக்கிட்டிருக்கேன்னு சொன்னேன்.

அந்தவகையில என்னோட 10 வருஷ கேரியர்ல இந்த ரவுண்ட்டுல தமிழ்ல கண்டினியூசா 4 படங்கள் பண்ணிட்டேன். இந்த தீயா வேலை செய்யணும் படத்துக்கப்புறம் ஜிகர்தண்டா, காவியத்தலைவன், அப்புறம் என்னோட சொந்த புரொடக்*ஷன்ல ஒரு படம்னு நடிக்கப்போறேன்.
இந்தப்படத்தோட டைட்டில்னாலேயோ என்னன்னு தெரியல, இண்டஸ்ட்ரியில நெறைய பேர் எனக்கு போன் பண்ணி தீயா வேலை செஞ்சிட்ட சித்து, திரும்ப தமிழுக்கு வந்துட்டேன்னு சொல்லி பாராட்டுறாங்க,

இதெல்லாம் மீடியாவான நீங்க கொடுத்த சப்போர்ட் தான், அதனால உங்களுக்கு நான் ரொம்ப ரொம்ப தேங்க்ஸ் சொல்றேன்.

தமிழ்நாட்டு ரசிகர்கள் சூது கவ்வும் மாதிரியான டிபரெண்ட்டான கதைகளை ரசிச்சி அதை ஹிட்டாக்குறாங்க, அப்படிப்பட்ட ஆடியன்ஸ் மத்தியில நானும் வந்து நிக்குறது எனக்கு சந்தோஷமா இருக்கு.

தீயா வேலை செய்யணும் குமாரு படத்தோட வெற்றிக்காக சுந்தர்.சி சாருக்கு நான் ரொம்ப ரொம்ப சின்ஸியரா ஒரு தேங்க்ஸ் சொல்லணும், ஏன்னா அவரு எனக்கு முன்னபின்ன அறிமுகம் கிடையாது, சும்மா எதேச்சயாக அவரை மீட் பண்ணி ரெண்டே நாள்ல ப்ளான் பண்ணி ஷூட்டிங் ஆரம்பிச்சது தான் இந்தப்படம். இந்தப்படத்துக்கப்புறம் என்னோட குடும்பத்துல ஒருத்தரா நான் அவரை பார்க்கிறேன்.

என்ற சித்தார்த்திடம் உங்களுக்கு பிடிச்ச ஹீரோயின் யார் என்று கேட்டபோது :

“ என்னோட முதல்பட ஹீரோயின் ஜெனிலியா எனக்கு பிடித்த நடிகை. ஏன்னா என்னோட பாய்ஸ் படத்துல ஒரு காலேஜ் படிக்கிற பொண்ணா சினிமாவுல கேரியரை ஸ்டார்ட் பண்ணிணாங்க.., அங்கேர்ந்து ஸ்டார்ட் பண்ணி அவங்க கேரியரை நல்ல அமைச்சிக்கிட்டாங்க, அவங்க கல்யாணம் அன்னிக்கு அவங்க கூட மும்பையில இருந்தேன். திருமணத்துக்கு அப்புறம் கூட அவங்க ரொம்ப சந்தோஷமா வாழ்க்கையை அமைச்சிக்கிட்டுருக்காங்க, ஜெனிலியாவோட கணவரும் எனக்கு ரொம்ப நெருங்கிய நண்பர் தான், சினிமா, கேரியர், கல்யாணம்னு பக்காவா ப்ளான் பண்ணிட்டு வெற்றியடைஞ்ச ஒரு ஜோடியாத்தான் நான் அவங்களை பார்க்கிறேன்.

“கண்டிப்பா சமந்தா தான் ஸ்வீட்டா இருப்பாங்க. ஏன்னா சமந்தா தமிழ்ல பேசுவாங்க, ஹன்ஷிகா தமிழ்ல பேச மாட்டாங்க, ஹன்ஷிகாவும் ஸ்வீட் தான்”. நீங்க சமந்தாவா..? ஹன்ஷிகாவான்னு கேட்டீங்கன்னா நான் சமந்தா தான் சொல்வேன், வேற ஏதாவது சாய்ஸா இருந்தா வேணும்னா ஹன்ஷிகாவை சொல்லிக்கிறேன். என்றார்.

உங்கள் திருமணம் எப்போது? ஏதாவது நடிகையை திருமணம் செய்வீர்களா? என்ற கேள்விக்கு பதிலளித்த சித்தார்த்,

“இப்போதைக்கு நான் என்னோட சினிமா கேரியரைத்தான் பாலோ பண்ணிக்கிட்டிருக்கேன். ஆனா கண்டிப்பாக நான் நடிகையை திருமணம் செய்துகொள்ள மாட்டேன், விரைவில் திருமணம் செய்துகொள்வேன், ஆனால் அது எப்போது என்று தான் தெரியவில்லை.
இவ்வாறு சித்தார்த் கூறினார்.

Maybe he crossed horns with UTV over the success / share of the film ! But still if its volunteerly done, its pathetic. Any work should be credited properly even though there are difference in opinion. And that's my opinion.

As for the leads, pretty disappointing.... Sidharth does another KSE while Hansika does OKOK
RJ Balaji was excellent and with perfect timing :rotfl2: OTOH, Sidharth missed timing many times.
Santhanam was Santhanam :D

Good Time pass movie!! Once Paakkalaam..
Many :lol: worthy dialogues and some sequences too...

Hansika tells Ganesh venkatraman that she wants to break away from the relationship and immediately comes out of the restaurant..

Breezy entertainer. But, these days only light comedy movies seem to run.As selvaraghavan says, this is a movie with a some interesting situations sprinkled in and a bunch of comedy dialogues around these. Couple of songs in some unknown foreign locations. There, you got a hit !
