Hi Everyone, from the time cinema was invented we have all grown attached to it as though it is part of our lives. Discussions on films are as old as cinema itself. Let us digress a bit for a change. How sharp are your eyes in spotting mistakes, coincidences or something which is out of the ordinary in films? By mistakes I mean is a particular shot or scene where logic is defied. In old films when close-up shots of cars are taken you can see the reflection of the film crew on the shiny automobiles. For all intents and purposes, the scene would only involve a single character but the reflection defies logic!

I remember the scene when Kamalhassan tries his best to catch the rooster in 16 Vayithinilae which was white. The next shows him successfully catching it but it is black. It seems when the film crew shot this scene it was well past midnight and it was decided to do the continuity shooting the following morning. Alas, on the following day the white rooster was no where to be located, hence the film crew settled for a black specimen!

In the song scene 'Padaava Un Paadalai' Ambiga who appears in the song recording scene is seen wearing a fully covered earphone but towards the end of the song it is a different partially exposed audio aid!

For the song 'Ulagam Piranthathu Enakaaga' MGR is seen wearing shoes when he is running to hop on board the bullock cart. But when he climbs aboard both his feet are bare!

Or, where the almost entire song "Kathai Solla Poraen' by Kaarthik, Charlie, Manorama, Radha Ravi etc. was taken in a single shot on a hand-held camera?

There are hundreds of such amusing scenes which the film crew were either negligent or undermined our intelligence or simply shot so as to entertain us. Your keen observation of such interesting takes will make this thread a lively one. So, why are you waiting? Surely you can share with us on your takes. So, come on!
