Pattathu Yaanai is an upcoming 2013 Tamil film directed by Boopathy Pandian and produced by Michael Rayappan. The film features Vishal Krishna and Aishwarya Arjun in the lead roles, while Santhanam plays another pivotal role. The film has music composed by Thaman, and is likely to be released in late 2013.

Well, I am aware that I will get stoned for saying this, but I got to say what I had observed in this brief trailer :
I find Aishwara Arjun resembling to (teen) Sonia Agarwal. There are many long shots where she has the same profile. But the close-ups give a different look though. Anyway, will be looking forward on her performance, thats where she should concentrate.

Surprisingly, I enjoyed Santhanam's humor. I maybe wrong, but the premises is like Vedivelu & Co from Friends. Maybe that's the reason I am enjoying it.
His lines about the villan and with Rajendran were funny.

Watched yesterday, its full and full Santhanam show, vishal did the same, can watch it for pandiyan comedy screenplay, humour! Humour!

Amazing film, one of the "most" intelligent films to have come from the sub continent! Even Singam 2 was not as amazing as this .... Long live Damil Zinema ! :clap:

Pattathu Yaanai - fails.

I think they wrote the comedy bits first and tried to fit a story in between the movie. In 1st half Santhanam provides the comedy. In 2nd half Villain gang provides the comedy. It might have worked some years ago. I still believe there is a market for masala movies, but they have to be able to try out fresh ideas instead of same ideas since 1970.

As usual Thaman S. auto tune button mela kunthittaan. Enthira , thambi Enthira.

B. Pandian did ok with Malaikottai but dissapoints with Pattathu Yaanai. I am starting to appreciate that Malaikottai after watching this.
