After 30 years Jeyakanthan is the 2nd tamil writer to be honoured with the Jnanpeet award.Actually, it is an honour for the award. His writings have a simple style ,realistic characters & strong social message. They are priceless to tamil literature.I would like to call him the 2nd BHARATHIYAR of tamilnadu.
I dedicate this thread to Jeyakanthan.Any discussions about his works, life & ideals are welcome.

I started reading Jayakanthan's works only recently and his bold style of writing and candid manner of depicting things and people the way they are is strinking to me. His characterisations are one of the best I have read in Thamizh literature. I agree with the assertion that Gnanpeeth has raised itself in giving J.K. the award.
