Komodo Mother

By Querida

komodo mother
must i fear you,
as i gaze through
egg shelled light?

did you not devour the very food,
that i did consume inside?

how could you now find relish
in taking back in,
what came out to live?

your beady eyes
and flicker tongue
i do too adore.
so i may crawl upon your claw
sustenence for you,
and find my womb again.
