Elorukkum Vanakkam.

I am a new member of this forum, and new to poetry too. Just wanted to get some feedback of my first poems, and points where I can fine tune them. I am sort of philosophically inclined, and so pl. don't mind if my poems tend to reflect the same :).

Love you all.

My first poem:

"Punnagai"

Parantha vaanil, oru punnagai,
Kangalaal kanaamudiya punnagai,
Nenchai Pillakkum antha punnagai,
Oliyum Olhiyum aakiya punnagai.

Ennangallaal thoda mudiyatha idathil,
Ellavatrukkum mudalaai, naduvaai, mudivaai,
Antha punnagai, atho,
Antha mugamillaatha punnagai.

Neerum mugamullavaro , illai mugamattravo,
Antha punnagai, itho ippothu
Ungal mugathil, ungal mugamaai
Intha vinotha vilaiyaatil
Nammidam enna ethirpaarkiratho…

Ethai thaan ethirpaarkumo, vilaiyaattai thavira,
Nammulam sirithhu, azhuthu, vetri-tholviyil magizhnthu,
Vaanaaga irunthum parakka muyarchikum,
Ithai arinthavudan paranthu vidumo….

Thanks for the encouragement, Priyanka ...

heres one more ...in English though.

"The Gods that you create"

Wake up! Open your eye!
Look at the wondrous world,
Look closely, and you will see
All the Gods that you create.

Some are great, some small
some benign, some malign
All said,thought and done,they are
The Gods that you create

Watch the 'you' word,
Where does it point, or to whom?
Ever thought about 'who thinks? '
Strange enough, I think it is
The Observer who fails to observe HimSelf

You do know these are the Gods you create
This is the 'I' you shape
You have simply forgotten
Nothing to worry though, for it is the forgetting
That helps you remember,
The Wonder That is you, and
That all the Gods you create,
Are YourSelf.

Welcome Kathir. Please try to post in tamil. That will encourage people more to read your poems. Also post all your poems in the same thread. That will be helpful for tracking and providing feedback.

wishes,
Ragavan

And some more....

-------------------
So glad Am I.

So glad am I
for this Life that doesn't die.
Or this Death that doesn't live.

So glad am I,
for this beautiful moment of Bliss,
That fleets through the Heart like a lover's kiss.

So glad am I,
to be Here, to be Now,
In all the wondrous places of Space,
In all the moments of Time

So glad Am I,
to share love with I I and I
who I see as You You and YOu.

So glad am I.

Love and Light...

The Ganges Deluge:

Behold! The Ganges ...
with all its glory ...
A river known so sacred...
Deluging now, where hath gone..the Grace?

People swept away by its pull..
The world around, disappearing in a wink
All that, and I am dying too..
Strangely, though, neither I fear,
Nor worry...do I know why ?

Ah.... I was told, this was not the Ganges
of Haridwar the place, but of the Heart.
The Real gateway to Hari....
Not water, what flows, is Love,
Destroying our reflections, into What We Are..

The Sacred river, flows in each of us..
The Sacred word is what We speak...
The Sacred act, is what We do...
The Sacred place, is Here, where We are..
The Sacred moment, is Now, when We are.

Look into the Light of the Infinite
In the Oneness of all,
By this Gracious Ganges, hence
We shall thrall.

Love and Light
