I would like to propose a different style. All these names posted above were to hail Krishnan and were depicting his apperance of actions. So why not create a name that also depicts Krishnan?

Since Krishnan always stands with the flute you can call him Kuzhalan.

Krishna also stands for justice(dharma) and You can call him dharmakannan.

Krishna is also the stealer of girls hearts and also married around 16000 wives after saving them from narakasura. As such you can call him Manmadharasan.

Krishna destroyed loads of demons who used to terrorise humans then and asuras too. As such you can call him MahishaGopalan.

Remember that the names of Krishna was given after the people thought of him as such. You too can hail Krishna with a name that appears to you when you think of him. Kadavulukku peiyarum ellei uravumum ellei...namma yeppadi paarkirumo kuppiduromo appadi thaan irupaaru..:D

The spelling is "Mathura" (the second tha in the ta, tha, da, dha, na
series) the same used for ratham etc. in Devanagiri. No equivalent letter in Tamil of course! So Tamils always tend to spell it wrongly.

Alan, Kannan is a proper name.

It is also used as a pet name - for babies, younger children as well as older lovers. :D

The name brings a warm feeling, which is so inexplicable. Tamil film's best lyricist/poet even named himself as a servant of Kannan. No prizes for guessing his name :P
