For the young talented spirited prodigy of the fourth estate Saira an interview with Khasim Abbas the prominent leader of terrorist group Aljihad was a challenge. This film seeks to explore the life of a family the ekes out a living going round the village singing the wake up songs of the gods, when the violent ways of the outside interferes, their peace is shattered, very much like a stone that unsettles the cal waters.
This film is about the quest of a father for the young man whose child grows in his daughter’s womb. It ends in the realization that the young man has had to pay with his life for his having participated in a dance of death that is played out in the name of divergent ideologies. The title of the film is play upon the name of the youth and tells us how futile the quest for a path to the Chandra is for the folk singer and his family.
