Here is my review

http://sevenmountain.blogspot.com/2006/09/vattaram-album-review.html

Melodies and westernised intrumentation rule the whole album. I believe this is the first album without a dappangkoothu number this year besides VV.

There are seven tracks in this album.

1) Naana Idhu Naana
2) Yaar Tharuvaar
3) Star Hotel Vendam
4) Ovvuru Pillaiyum
5) Idhu Kadhal Kadhal
6) Unnai Paartha
7) Mudhal Mudhala

The first interlude of ithu kaathal kaathal(?) song has shades of Puthupettai's pulpesum poo pesun interludes. Looks like Bharadwaj has liked this Yuvan's track!

Pul pesum is probably the pick of Pudupettai album. I noticed this only after Karthik's 200 (exception to hims conevntional 100 words) words review of the album.

I think Pul pesum is easily the pick, it reminds me Underground Garage style of music whenever I listen to it, especially 'unna kootikkittu kadaikku poren" line. But this soundtrack is unfit for Puthupettai kind of movies. It should have been come out as a separate album like his Blast.

This movie has 3 very good melody numbers. once again saran+bharadvaj succeed. 8-)

1) ithu nana ithu nana
2) mudhal mudhala
3) ithu kadhal kadhal thana

in all saran's movies songs, the costumes are very colorful. 8-)
