We have heard of songs using WCM techniques like harmony,oratario counterpoints etc in tamil film music. Various formats like baroque,chamber music(HTNI) have been also used as well mostly by IR, MSV ,ARR and recently broadway orchestra in AIBI by YSR.
I would like to know besides raagams, what sort of techniques does ICM contribute to world music like counterpoints and stuff and have they been used in film/non-filmi music before? What other formats besides carnatic music does ICM have? It would be good if examples of songs having such techniques/formats are discussed here as well. :ty:
