All about wines:
Oenologist Bruno Monange from Burgundy in France often visits this city to conduct workshops on wines.
What makes a good wine?
Good grapes, fertile soil, alcoholic fermentation of sugar by yeast and favorable climate makes into the making of a good wine.
How to identify a good wine?
By its year, location, color, and spark you get when it touches your lip. Burgundy wines carry the year of its harvest on the bottle. Wine lovers know how the harvest had been in that year.
Serving?
Half the thrill is lost when served in ordinary glass. The wine glass has the shape of tulips. The glass should be filled only till its wider length. Look at it. Smell it. Take a sip. Keep it in the mouth for a while. Appreciate the taste and then swallow.
Popular brands: CHATEAU PETRUO, SANTERNES, TOKNY, are the international varieties. Grover and Chateau Indage are the Indian ones. Old wines are like diamonds-very precious. The more they are kept, the tastier it becomes. But it loses its flavor. When you taste it makes you really cheerful.
