Seems , US is hell bent on cornering Iran now ( after their successful annihilation of Iraq ) .

The same reason has been given - IRAN TRYING TO PRODUCE NEUCLEAR WEAPONS .

Though Iran is stoutly refusing the US claims and defends its position saying that the installations are for constructive purposes .

So, where will it end ?

Will US attack Iran soon ?

Unlike Iraq, Iran is much more powerful & unlike Saddam, the Iran's premier is being well supported by the countrymen.

Once war breaks out , what will be the stand of major powers like Russia, China, India etc ?

Lets discuss

After India tested, US announced sanctions in brief but later withdrew .

What followed was Pakistan immediately coming with their version of nuclear discovery

India I think signed an agreement that they will stop doing further experiments which must have pleased the world community.
Besides, India is a peace loving country & always try to be friendly with their neighbours.

US has found out that Iran is triggering violence in Iraq by supplying arms to terrorists.
Not sure how far this is true

One fact is that amongst the gulf countries, Iran is the strongest in terms of military power.
So, US may try to tighten its grip on Iran

This is not going to escalate into another war thats for sure. And India has changed its stance. Initially it supported USA in the resolution against Iran
and later it realized that it was a costly mistake. Because Iran is a big stakeholder when it comes to oil resources. Along with Russia (which dominates in the European region ) Iran holds the key to our future energy demands. And there was one recent meeting between the foreign ministers of Iran and India (not sure about this . Remember having read something like that) where the plans for Indo- Iran gas pipeline were talked about. So India's position in this cold war is very clear. It won't be an ally to USA's evil schemes anymore. And USA has already suffered large damages physically and its image has taken a beating in the global arena. Even its very own people are not pleased with the Iraq war . Moreover USA can no longer browbeat the world after the recent debacle. So I don't see any major event unfolding in the near future. Maybe one or two threats of attack.
