This is a very beautiful temple! What I really enjoyed about this temples were the droves and droves of pigeons that reside around the temple. People have the tradition of scattering grams, rice etc for the pigeons and doves and its a wonderful sight to see them in their huge numbers flying down to eat the grain.

They also have a nice go-shala with a good number of cows. It is quite an unusual find, sitting right in the midst of all the industrial humdrum.

It is said that the vigraha of the Ambal was disfigured during a Muslim invasion. They have the idol (without hands) within the sanctum of the Lingam itself and have a new Ambal vigraham in the seperate sannadhi.
