For me it was Kadhal Mannan 8-) He almost played the second hero role with both comedy and a bit of serious acting. Kadhal Mannan was the turning point for me - when it comes to both Ajith and Vivek :) MSV kooda sErnthu Vivek paNNa attagAsam :lol:

The scene I really enjoyed was when he argues with Ajith saying it's not correct to fall in love with a girl who is alreayd engaged to some one else. Ajith with a guilty tone would deny the fact that he is in love with her, but Vivek would keep on pressing him to get the truth out but Ajith would keep denying. Finally Vivek loses his patience and angrily responds..

Vivek : ennangada kadha udureenga.. tharaila kAla vaingadA ..

Ajith : Loses his temper and slaps Vivek

Vivek : :shock: :shock: and then says to himself 'enna ivan, tharaila kAla vekka sonnA kannathula kaiyya vechuttAn :lol:

IMO, these kind of heroic elements in Vivek's comedy sequences is one of the major contributors in his loss of form. People love the comedians suffering a lot and vivek is certainly losing along these lines. His slapstick comedies have become a big bore these days. He should find a good comedy writer

the best comedy of Vivek is the one in Minnale.

Madhavan and Vivek gets into an accident with a lorry.

Madhavan runs away and Vivek says with a comic that he has escaped and what type of friend is he.

Vivek will look at the lemon and chillies tied to the front of the lorry and asks to the lorry driver what is it for. he says that it has been done to avoid accidents. and vivek asks will these things make a lorry run if the thousands of parts are not in order in the lorry. :lol:

then the traffic police comes and draws the map to which vivek replies with a comic. :lol:

the police asks for the number and vivek starts reading out the police bike's number. :lol:

he will say that he has got a great influence and he knows IG but the IG doesn't know him. :rotfl:

I know I have not put it in proper manner and I have missed lots of things in between. but this is the best comedy clip. :rotfl:

எம்.ஆர்.ராதா குரலில் பேசமாட்டார். ஆனால் அவருடைய பாணியில் நகைச்சுவையாக நக்கல் அடிப்பார்.
ரஜனி குரலில் பேசமாட்டார். ஆனால் அவருடைய பாணியில் காமெடி பஞ்ச் அடிப்பார்.

இதுதான் விவேக்.

விஜய் டிவி லொள்ளு சபா, சன் டிவி டாப் 10 பாடல்கள் இரண்டுமே ஒரே ஸ்டைல். ஏற்கனவே ஹிட்டான படம் அல்லது காட்சியை உல்டா செய்து பேத்தலான சேட்டைகள் செய்வதுதான், இந்த இரண்டு நிகழ்ச்சிகளுமே.

பல நேரங்களில் விவேக்கின் காமெடியும் இதே போலத்தான் இருக்கிறது.

அதிசயமாக விவேக் தமிழ் சினிமாவின் லீடிங் காமெடியன்களில் ஒருவர். அவரே (ரஜினி சொன்னதாக) குமுதத்தில் எழுதியது போல, கருத்து சொல்கிற மேட்டர் மட்டும் இல்லையென்றால், எப்போதோ காணாமல் போயிருப்பார்.

ஆரம்பத்தில் ஒல்லி உடம்புடன் கொஞ்சமாக பாடி லேங்வேஜையும், அதிகமாக மிகிக்கிரியையும் வைத்து சிரிப்புக் காட்டினார். போகப் போக. . . குறிப்பாக கூலிங் கிளாஸ் மாட்டி நடிக்க ஆரம்பித்ததிலிருந்து பாடி லேங்வேஜ் மறைந்துவிட்டது. வெறும் (சிவாஜி + எம்.ஆர்.ராதா + ரஜினி + சில நேரம் வைரமுத்து) மிக்ஸிங் டயலாக்கை வைத்து வெற்றிகரமாக சமாளித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கிறார்.

மாத்ருபூதம் வழங்கிய சின்னக் கலைவாணர் பட்டம், அவருடைய காமெடி சென்ஸை அமுக்கிவிட்டு, கருத்து இம்சையை முடுக்கிவிட்டுவிட்டது என்பது என்னுடைய எண்ணம்.

பெரும்பாலும், அவருடைய காமெடி அனைத்தும், படத்துடன் ஒட்டாமல் தனி டிராக்காகத்தான் இருக்கிறது. அதனால்தான் 'விஜய் டிவி லொள்ளுசபா' காமெடி போல அடிக்கடி பழைய படங்களை உல்டா செய்யும் டிராக் பிடிக்கிறார்.

முழுக்க முழுக்க காமெடிக்காக எடுக்கப்பட்ட படங்களில் கூட அவர் எக்ஸ்டிரார்டினரி பெர்மாமன்ஸ் கொடுத்ததில்லை. காரணம் 'கருத்து சொல்கிற பாணி'.

இன்னொன்று எப்போதுமே 90 சதவிகித படங்களில் கல்லூரி மாணவன் போல ஜீன்ஸ், டி-ஷர்ட், கூலிங் கிளாஸ் தோற்றம். வெரைட்டியான மேக்கப் கூட இல்லாமல் பல படங்களை ஒப்பேற்றிவிட்டார். அவர் கிராமங்களில் அவ்வளவாக எடுபடாததற்கு காரணம், எப்போதுமே 'சிட்டி லுக்' கொடுத்த அவருடைய உடைகளும், பேச்சுக்களும்தான்.

அசட்டுத்தனங்களும், சேட்டைகளும் நிரம்பிய காமெடியன், படாரென ஒரு கட்டத்தில் எமோஷனலாக கண் கலங்க வைக்க வேண்டும். அந்த திறமை விவேக்கிடம் கம்மி.

கூலிங் கிளாசையும், கருத்தையும் கழட்டி வைத்துவிட்டால் நம்மால் இன்னும் நல்ல விவேக்கை பார்க்க முடியும்.

His comedy is very decent which is one of the main reasons why i like him :Dno kidding :D......his jokes are like so decent and modest.......he does get a lil cheap but its tolerable..........the comedians thwse days are so cheap :x and the slang they use :x

i guess this refers to santhaanam among many today. though he does give some quick witted jokes, the bulk of what he gives is intolerable double meaning dialogues with bad slang. he was better off in vijay tv.

Vivek, the first Tamil Comedian to be bestowed with the prestigious Padma Shri award, is still to overcome the loss of veteran comedian Nagesh.

A great fan of Nagesh, Vivek has said that he enjoyed the legend's well-acclaimed films, 'Server Sundaram', 'Kadhalikka Neramillai' and 'Neer Kumizhi'.

On his work in Tamil Cinema, Vivek said, 'the ultimate recognition for an actor is when the last person leaving the cinema hall is thoroughly impressed by the performance. Ultimate recognition is when I successfully reach out to the audience while giving my 100 per cent', he said.

Vivek also feels there should be a 'Best comedian' category when the National Awards are given away. This way, regional comedians can attain national fame.

The actor, who is known for highlighting social issues like female infanticide, bribery and corruption in his comedies, also feels that public figures owe a responsibility towards their fans and should conduct themselves in the right manner.

Heaping laurels on Rahman, he said, 'if not for music composer A. R. Rahman, talent from Tamil filmdom would not have got the due recognition'.

some lines were ok, but boy he can get VERY annoying with Sivaji antics. He has to stop this, or atleast reduce it.

He has done enough Sivaji and the other Sivaji. He should stop spoofing or parodying. We had enough laugh. It's not funny any more when you become predictable.

Having said that, I liked this one (not sure which movie), where he is a rowdy and when someone refused to give maamul, he rushes over (again does Rajini style, knife throwing) and goes over.

So, the other dude tells him off, saying that they should get a job or something. That will tick Vivek off, and he rattles on about how expensive it is to maintain gangsters.

Police come down on sun control film; actor Vivek fined

The Chennai Traffic Police launched a fresh crackdown on cars with dark sun control films on Monday. Among those fined on Tuesday was actor Vivek.
In May, the traffic police had begun warning and initiating action against vehicles that had the sun control films on their windows.
After a lull, the drive seems to have resumed. Over 1.37 lakh cases were booked last year and over Rs.1 crore was collected as fine.
Actor Vivek was fined Rs. 100 as his car’s windows and windshield were covered with sun control film. He was caught while leaving the Chennai airport on Tuesday, police sources said. “He said that the usage of the film was necessary to protect his privacy; otherwise, people may start crowding his car,” said a senior police officer.
According to the police officer, around 40 people were fined near the airport and 25 people near Madipakkam on Tuesday. Over 400 cases were also filed on Anna Salai said police. “We have been asked to remove the films from all vehicles. Many High Court judges have already removed the films voluntarily,” said K. Baskaran, Anna Salai traffic enforcement inspector.
The removal of sun control films will help keep vigil on any untoward activity or movement of criminals in vehicles. “The installation of cameras in all junctions as part of the Integrated Traffic Management System will help us detect any such activity. Officers will also be able to view the cars from various angles at different junctions and thus track offenders who have taken detours,” said a senior police officer.
The fine is just Rs.100 for first-time offenders. But repeat offenders will be charged Rs. 300.
“In case of further violations, we will seize the vehicle. The number of offences can easily be found out from records we can access in our hand-held devices,” said Mr.Baskaran.
The Visual Light Transmission (VLT) of tinted glasses should be 70 per cent in the front and rear screens and 50 per cent on the side windows respectively.
