Anton chigurh avan oruthan podhumae.

I have this personal theory that film is not the medium for "ruminations". I am not saying NCFOM is eventless. It has its share of interesting events and visuals. But it didn't engross me the way Fargo did.

The mystery trail, the "shock and awe", "evil getting away and surviving the randomness of life etc." ellAm sari dhaan. It didn't come together interestingly enough for me. Guess I am an "old man" too.

In Vegas, everybody's gotta watch everybody else. Since the players are looking to beat the casino, the dealers are watching the players. The box men are watching the dealers. The floor men are watching the box men. The pit bosses are watching the floor men. The shift bosses are watching the pit bosses. The casino manager is watching the shift bosses. I'm watching the casino manager. And the eye-in-the-sky is watching us all.

Get the DVD and listen to Mann's commentary. You'll get a feeling that he is more entranced with De Niro's performance. Awesome subtlety in contrast to Pacino's explosive outbursts. I like the line he where he tells Judd to give Chris (Kilmer) a chance, then "pack up, go home". No reaction, then again, with slight threatening note, "Pack UP, go home". What happened to this De Niro? :(

Naamalum some dialogues-a sollaporomnga:

In fact, two dialogues, but both from the same film:

Here I was surrounded by my family and my so-called mates and I've never felt so alone. Never in all my puff.

So why did I do it? I could offer a million answers - all false. The truth is that I'm a bad person. But, that's gonna change - I'm going to change. This is the last of that sort of thing. Now I'm cleaning up and I'm moving on, going straight and choosing life. I'm looking forward to it already. I'm gonna be just like you... (The latter one is shortened, it is much longer one and actually I have to post it completely as it does and has to belong together!)

I may post another excellent dialogues from this one (This film is teeming with such meaningful dialogues!) So, try and give your guess!

Nerd,
yes, correct!

I would like to finish that second dialogue

...I'm gonna be just like you. The job, the family, the f**king big television. The washing machine, the car, the compact disc and electric tin opener, good health, low cholesterol, dental insurance, mortgage, starter home, leisure wear, luggage, three piece suite, DIY, game shows, junk food, children, walks in the park, 9 to 5, good at golf, washing the car, choice of sweaters, family christmas, indexed pension, tax exemption, clearing gutters, getting by, looking ahead, the day you die.

This is a film, I would recommend everyone to watch, but not for the faint of heart, as it is very extreme and disgusting at some places, but nonetheless a brilliant visualization!

Exactly.

The first scene where he sees Vivien Leigh in the house. He is surprised to see her but is cool and confident. Scratching his sweaty back with his thumb. Already sets the tone of the relationship where she is fated to live in discomfort, that she may be refined and all but he couldn't care less, but does that without being insulting. First face to face meeting, he makes conversation and at the same time checks her out, everytime she is talking and distracted his eyes dart away from her face :lol2:. idhellAm apppidiyE natural-A varum

streetcar..through out the movie... :notworthy:

GF 2 certainly is the better of the trilogy AFA Pacino's performance is concerned. DDA padathula perisA onnum illai, its only his presence that elevates the film to another level. So oru soft corner. Even otherwise I think he did display a gamut of emotions quite convincingly in DDA. Seri vidunga, ATD :)

It's a Western. Photography by Legendary cinematographer, who also got noticed for his work in another Western in the same year of release as this film. Actually yes, He got oscar nomation for both the films. Both the films were book adaptations, and used the same titles as the books.
