Kadhir, the man behind mushy romances such as Kadhal Desam and Kadhalar Dinam, is up and running with his next project Maanavar Dinam. While earlier reports stated that Vinay will play the lead in Maanavar Dinam, latest in the series is that Vinay has been given the elbow from the project for unquoted reasons. In comes Srikanth who will take the lead.

Meanwhile, Kadhir’s successful association with Rahman in his previous ventures continues with Maanavar Dinam as well and the maestro has agreed to score for the movie.

A coveted Director in Kollywood, Directed kathir glowed successfully with “Idhayam”, “Kadhalar Dhesam “and “Kadhalar Dhinam”. Unfortunately his mega budgeted flick “Kadhal virus” failed at box office. Since then Kathir was missing from the industry, but now he has returned stronger than before, to hoist his upcoming movie Studentz day at pinnacle. Actor Srikanth dons the lead with music by none other than his lucky pair AR Rahman. As we informed earlier, search for other characters including the lead heroine is still about to happen.
We wish Kathir the best, to come out with flying colors in his latest venture.

I thought that Tamil movies cannot be given English titles, or atleast the get a tax exemption for Tamil titles
must be a high budget movie if they dont want the tax exemption, or may be its just a tentative title :)

2. What are the Hollywood companies, which have approached you as of now ?



I am not in a state to accept anything. The Oscar Nominations have raised a lot of expectations in my music, and hence it requires a lot of care and attention. In India, the audience for Music has increased. In particular, the music taste and sense of the youth within the age group of 18 to 30 is outstanding. They also have to be satisfied. So, my present day commitment is to fulfill the work here.



Shankar's " Yendhiran", Maniratnam's movie, Kadhir's " Maanavar Dhinam", Gowtham Menon's movie are the Tamil ones. In Hindi, " Blue" which is a completely underwater movie, A movie for Director Abbas Tyrewala, Rajeev Menon's Hindi movie are all lined up. Apart from these, I have my own individual albums which are waiting. All these would take 2 years to finish, and the rest are later………………….

LM, i think its the remake of Abhimaan. Aishu baby and Abishek bachan r to star in that film. Thats what i know so far :D
