They have clearly put the Name of the person itself - "தமிழ் சினிமாவின் பாக்ஸ் ஆபீஸ் விவரங்களை வெளியிடும் 'தமிழ்நாடு என்டர்டெயின்மெண்ட்' என்ற பத்திரிகையின் ஆசிரியர் ராமானுஜம்" So the ball is no more in thatstamil court. They actually published positive reports about both the movies, too. (Nanban and Vettai)

As far as i know, many websites had positive things about box office collections of both the films, especially nanban.
Thatstamil always had negative things about vijay and i think nobody heard abt ramanujam and the magazine.May be it is as crap as thatstamil.Who knows .

genuinely becoming hits, and becoming a profit making blockbuster are different.

i don't believe that these 2 movies are running empty halls in chennai. at same time i am not sure if there is really house filling crowds all over TN and other states.

these 2 movies are either made at budget around 50 crores or, being made at low cost but sold for around or more than 5o crores. So the amount they need to collect is huge.

Also, both the above websites does good name calling. If its false, surely an legal suit can be filed against them, by the respective production companies. Looks like many things are in hush-hush manner.

added to that, the media support to these 2 movies, with positive articles is glaringly visible

yes going by media promotions,favourable good WOM,pongal festive season is advantage.

I am saying both are sure minimum Break-even hit for the producers...vettai ellam max 15C budget thaan irukkum...sure would have have crossed that
Also note that Arya has raiseed his salary to 5C after success of this movie,in same league of danush,simbu.i was surprised to see pretty big crowd for this movie lastweekend

nanban,therila exact budget but sure shankar brand,vijay,good WOM, tv promo ellaam would have got good collection....

.the cost sold to distributers, worth its value in certain areas, overpriced etc etc ellaaam vera vishyaam....hush hush thaaan.

I haven't seen envazhi writing against kamal or vijay in recent times...Infact,they had given a positive review for nanban... They have come up with this article only to prove that nanban didn't touch or surpass the enthiran collections as claimed by nanban team.... Also they have clearly mentioned the source from whom,they have got the details...

வெளியான முதல் நாளன்று படத்துக்கு கூட்டமே இல்லை. இத்தனைக்கும் அன்று இந்தப் படம் மட்டுமே சோலோவாக வெளியானது. சென்னையில் பரவாயில்லை. சென்னைக்கு வெளியே தியேட்டர்காரர்கள் புலம்பித் தள்ளிவிட்டார்கள். அன்றைக்கு மட்டும் ரூ 3.5 கோடி வசூலானது நண்பனுக்கு.

Enthiran pathi kuda oru article iruku! Ninga solra Hush Hush ellam anga kuda nadanthathu! and more over there are people who are very pro dominantly working against vijay's movie! As far as i Know even in the 3 week the movie is really doing good! Illana jan 26 anaiku they wouldnt have 6:30 am show in the morning and it was full! EVen today is friday right? see the current status. There are people who will never open there mouth when it is good thing happening for vijay.. But they come shouting when it is against vijay. They speak in a way that they have concern for vijay but thy are worried for the result :) . Movie is doing good!

Same Ramanujam posted about 10C loss for Mankatha producer. As per his follow up article, only 7A had given profits to all parties including producers. Let us wait for few more articles. We will come to know whether he is a serioues piece or a comedy piece.

In that same article this guy mentioned 7am arivu didn't touch 40cr(inside TN) and overall collected around 82cr, still loss for distributors since sold for 90+ cr. For Mankatha it made around 50cr(inside TN), profit for distributors and theatre owners but loss for producers. I'm not getting the logic.

AFAIK loss for producer occurs, if producer not able to sell the film more than the production cost (this happens for newbies film, not for leading actors film). Or after sold it for huge price, if distributors/theatre owners suffered loss and demand compensation from producers(it didn't happen in Mankatha's case). What are the other possible ways??

Now this same person said in envazhi.com that first let Nanban touch 7am arivu and Mankatha and then think about Enthiran. He said next week he will publish theatrewise Nanban collection, we will know what he is upto.

While I don't agree with the article, he didn't mention that there was no crowd starting from first day. He said after the initial pongal period, crowd is less. Am I correct?

shankar was paid 5 Cr for anniyan itself. So for this film he wud be getting aroung 10 Cr or more. for Vijay it shud be 15+. Harris 1C, Resul pookkutty 1C, And Jiva atleat 1C, Heroine how much?!? Then other actors, technicians, production cost, ellaam sethaa surely it can be around 45Cr. :wild-guessing:

Released almost twice as big as Velayudham,3 xtra holidays so far besides the opening Thursday and content tailored for the families with unanimous WOM from all sections.
Of coz,with no homepage banners or exclusive content such reports are expected from Behind(26000*rAND(Percentage)*rAND(No Of Shows))Woods.
Watever,its by 200-300% the biggest movie of its genre and with zilch spent on publicity(comparatively) and no major releases round the corner it should safely emerge as the second biggest grosser of all time(atleast in Chennai).

After the end of 3rd weekend ,just compare the collection of VELAYUDHAM and NANBAN as per Behindwoods.

VELAYUDHAM Collection - 6.26 crores No of shows - 2511 after 19 days
NANBAN Collection - 6.22 Crores No of shows - 2898 after 18 days(387 shows more with more h/f shows than velayudham including republic day holiday)

This itself is showing that ,B/W figures are totally wrong.Udhayanidhi played here .He wants his 7A to be the highest in paper.

The report seems to be an example of the use of asinine..and i would not wonder if nanban failed to catch the spot in top 5 in their next week's report. Yeah, serious manipulation of facts and records break. an hypocrite or narrow-minded ssabmud who prepared this report must be the one who got his ssa kicked ever in his lifetime by HC Fanatics of Vijay in social networks.

Kamala theatre is not a multiplex I guess and the shows were full on the holidays. I witnessed this both for Nanban and Vettai on the republic day as I coulnt get the tickets for both films. Collection dropping is common for any film over the weeks but not from 95 to 50 in a span of 7 days.

This is the funniest report I've seen in a while. Contrary to the previous Vijay movies, I've been following the theatre occupancy for Nanban across theatres, thanks to Internet. It has been rock steady. A film with 95% in the previous week falls to 50% in 1 week and the collection is a mere 1.27 C in spite of having a houseful Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Looks terrifying than a Roland Emmerich disaster. :lol:

Just for argument.. during 7A you said.. "Internet booking status ellam namba koodadhu.. Theater pona seat kidaichadhu aana online status shows Houseful'nu .. Now you are relying on Internet to check the booking status..:huh:

Unmaiyoe poiyoe I have no comments on behindwoods report.. also no issues with Nanban being a blockbuster(personally I liked it).:)

For 7A when the booking starts, first 5 days showed house full for most of the theatres within some hours. After two days the status were changed to available.Some hubbers also mentioned that they were able to get tickets in theatre but the status was housefull in online.

Not only for 7A, even for Endhiran and DTM, those theatres showed full houses in the online booking status but tickets were available in the counter. I have never even relied on those theatres while checking the status. And to name the theatres, they are Fame and PVR. I have even discussed abt this with a fellow hubber then.

most of the multiplex(TGV,GSC) reduce the show drastically to accommodate Chinese new year release ( almost 5 or 6 new Chinese movie got release here) this could be the reason..

Malaysia collection adhigama kammiya? romba kammi... and as predicted by Mahen (who said it will sweep away all records) it didnt happen.

Why? Thats anybody's guess.
but some pertinent points.

1. My personal experience: it was fully booked on wed after pongal in mid-valley
2. It was fully packed on wed, thur, fri after CNY at IOI mall
3. But the movie was screened in the smallest halls with only abt 100+ seats.
4. Nanban did not open in many of the cineplexes that usually shows big movies, like Summit, CapSquare, etc.
5. Colliseum, the only stand alone cinema nearly seats 1000 ppl. There Nanban shared space with Vettai (2 shows each)
6. The greatest shock for me was for the premium 9.00pm show, Vettai is being screened.
7. Possibly, because of the low turnout, Vijay visited Malaysia a couple of days ago with wide publicity in TV and radio
8. The effect of above will be seen in remaining weeks.

As for Mankatha, it was a five day holiday period (Eid festival - 2 days, National day & weekend)
Comparatively Pongal is not a holilday here.

We can only go on guessing, but will never know the real reasons.

One thing is Sure. Looking over the Chennai Box office from BW / Sify is mostly crap and it is proved time and again. Malaysia Box office also kind of in the same category it seems.

Reason why I posted that is to show what the official box office council report is. Earlier BM posted the UK opening collections for Mankatha (sum of adarsh tweets) and the figure was high. Appo ellam thaiya thakkannu kuthichittu ippo vera maathiri report kodutha udanae vanthu post pannura logic onnum puriyala. :lol: Konjam train track maaralam.. but U turn ah just like that podurathu ellam :lol:

I also don't understand blaming behindwoods now. does this mean they are ready to accept that the bloated figures from BW for Sura, Vettaikaaran, Villu etc are fake including nanban. I don't understand the logic AT ALL. Entha consistency um illa.. Athaan :)

Typical fanboy mentality ellam edhukku consider pannikittu? Obviously, fans post reports which shows their star's film's collection is on the high. This has been prevailing either sides. Honestly, I thought BW reports were making some sense until I saw Nanban's report. In the last week's report they've mentioned that the film is running to packed houses. But the occupancy rate is 50%. Even for a lesser hit Velayudham, the occupancy rate was more at this stage. I do not claim that the site is supporting a particular actor but I believe that there are some hidden factors which tries to show that the collections are lesser for Nanban than a particular film. :)

Vijay has been going around the State in his effort to prop up the box-office collections and ticket-sales of his latest release Nanban. The film, which has Jiiva and Srikanth as his co-stars and directed by Shankar, has been doing average business all over the State. Touted initially as a record-breaking film, the film’s collections started dipping sharply after the initial couple of weeks.

Vijay was in Madurai the other day and visited the cinema halls screening the film. He also found time to address his fans. Vijay took part at a function held at a hotel in Madurai’s Kalavasal and also interacted with a group of mentally challenged children from Shine School in K.K. Nagar. One of the students presented Vijay a drawing created by him.

Speaking to newspersons later, Vijay said at the outset that he won’t be commenting about any political issues and that it’d only be about films. Talking about multi-starrer films, he said that “I don’t have any hesitation in starring along side other heroes if I get a script as powerful as Nanban. I believe that the ‘script’ is the actual hero of a film. We (actors) only go by what the script says.

“I have a good rapport with Suriya…I won’t have any problems in acting with him together….we had already done Friends more than a decade back. If I get a good script, I’d consider starring with him again…at present, though, I’m focusing on Murugadoss’ Thupppaki; I’m sure it’d do well at the box-office,” concluded Vijay.

Nanban Second Highest Grosser After Endhiran
The strong run that Nanban is having in certain circuits even a month after its release has got the distributors raving about the wonders it has performed at the box office. Nanban has shown nothing less than phenomenal performance in the Madurai and Coimbatore belts. The distributors for these areas, Ramesh and Sivakumar, respectively have stated that almost all centres are witnessing repeat audiences and that is sustaining the collections in a big way. The gross collection of Nanban from 4 circuits of Coimbatore is around Rs. 5.5 crores. This is next only to Superstar’s Endhiran that had done a business of Rs. 8.0 crores during its initial month in the same 4 circuits. Yes, a difference of 2.5 crores in a months run in a district between two movies is quite huge. But, one must also take into account the fact that the tickets for Endhiran during the initial week had sold out for Rs. 500 and above while Nanban tickets were in the normal range of Rs 70-100 in both Madurai and Coimbatore. What does this mean? Well, it’s a complex issue of various factors. That a star can command houseful audiences even with tickets selling for Rs.500 is an indication of the crowd pulling power that he has. At the same time, if Nanban has gone on to make nearly 70% of Endhiran’s collection within the same running period, it means that it commanded a lot of repeat audiences, which the distributors say is true. Of course, we should also understand that the lower ticket rates is also a factor in attracting repeat audiences; which is something that Endhiran could not have done with ticket rates hitting the ceiling.

All said and done, the final numbers state one fact; in many circuits the business that Nanban has generated is second only to Endhiran; and it is definitely the highest ever numbers generated by a Vijay starrer; not to forget Jiiva. And, in the midst of Endhiran, Nanban, Rajni and Vijay, we should not forget the one man common to all this- shankar. He has truly emerged as the biggest revenue generating director of the industry!

2012 First Quarterly Report – Tamil Cinema

Already one quarter of a year over. So, it’s time to look back at the good and bad happened in Tamil Film industry.

2012 has been good year for Tamil cinema at Box-office even though there are only very few hits so far, but a bad year for Tamil film industry as TFPC-FEFSI wage war begun and still no permanent solution has been worked out.

First, let’s take a look at the Tamil films released in the first three months of 2012 and its box-office performance.

A record 44 straight Tamil films released in the past 3 months excluding 3 re-releases and more than a dozen dubbed films. Out of that, a mere 5 films were profitable which means success ratio is just around 10%.

January ( 9 releases: 1 Super Hit – Nanban and 1 Hit – Vettai)

2012 started with a bang at the box-office! The most bankable director at BO, Shankar joined hands with the most bankable actor Vijay for the first time in “Nanban”, which is a remake of Bollywood blockbuster ‘3 Idiots’ and came triumphs. Industry insiders and audience were skeptical initially as why Shankar opted for mass hero Vijay for a classy script and whether it will work out. Proving them wrong, Vijay’s athletic physique and his unique charm brought freshness to the film, combined with Jiiva’s comic sense worked wonders on screen. The film opened in highest no. of screens (600+) for a Tamil film ever for a couple of days and has beaten Enthiran’s opening day collections in few areas. It went to collect a record 50+ crores within a week worldwide and turned out be a Super hit. Once again Shankar proved that he is the undisputed king of box-office in South India.. Next ‘Vettai’, an out and out Lingusamy style entertainer, too set the cash register ringing at the box-office. It collected around 15 crores worldwide in 4 days and declared hit. Both films got the 30% ET exemption from the TN govt. which is a boost for the industry. Small film ‘Kollaikaran’ released between these two biggies and sank almost without a trace. Though, the film had an engaging funny script, it failed mainly due to the bad timing of its release. Ramarajan’s comeback film ‘Medhai’ is a disaster and he joined the industry’s special coveted list of people like ‘Power Star’ Srinivasan, T.Rajendar, etc.

February ( 15 releases: 2 Hits – Marina and KSY)

Pandiraj’s “Marina” released first and the film’s a winner before release itself as the film made on a shoe-string budget sold out for good price in all areas of Tamilnadu. The collections break-even in no time and made distributors happy too and quickly declared hit by trade. The film set an example for small time film-makers on how to make a small meaningful film with no stars and yet come out successful. Next, two romantic entertainers “Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi” and ‘Muppozhuthum Un Karpanaigal’ clashed at the box-office during Valentine weekend and both films opened well with KSY doing wonders at multiplexes whereas MUK did well in single screens. But ultimately KSY emerged winner for its innovative film making and smart marketing and turned out to be a hit and MUK ended up as average grosser. Then, Tamil’s first 3D film “Ambuli” released with decent opening without much buzz and hold on well in few screens too. Also ‘Uchithanai Muharnthaal’, about Srilankan sentiments re-released but failed again as it couldn’t get proper screens.

March (20 releases: 1 Hit – Karnan)

Vasanthabalan’s “Aravaan” released big with high expectations but the film bombed at the box-office as it didn’t have the emotional connect which is well portrayed in his previous films. Small film “Kazhugu” had a limited release initially, picked up through word of mouth and no. of screens increased. The film got raving reviews from critics especially about its new milieu and it had break even for few distributors. Sivaji Ganesan’s epic film “Karnan” was digitized and re-released. Much to the surprise of everyone, the film ran full house even in the weekdays in multiplexes and single screens alike and turned out to be a classic hit. Also another film ‘Vengayam’ about fake god men and superstitions, re-released. In spite of Cheran’s effort and marketing with industry’s eminent personalities, the film didn’t click. Last, but not the least Dhanush’s “3” released with sky high expectations after his single ‘Why this Kolaveri di’ went viral and had more than 50 million hits online. Although the film had a thundering opening of 6 crores in a single day in TN alone (thanks to the hype), collections faltered in the second week, especially in ‘B’ and ‘C’ centres. It made losses to few distributors who purchased it for huge minimum guarantee.

This quarter also helped few films to get national acclaim. Thiagarajan Kumararaja’s “Aaranya Kaandam” won him best director in a debut and best editing too at 59th National Awards. Suseenthiran’s ‘Azhagarsaamiyin Kudhirai’ won 2 National awards in Best entertainer and supporting actor category and Sargunam’s ‘Vaagai Sooda Vaa’ won best regional film. Also ‘Mounaguru’, which released late 2011 survived the Pongal biggies and went on to become a sleeper hit. The exemption of service tax in addition to entertainment tax by the central government also brought cheers to the industry.

On the downside, the wage war between FEFSI (Film Employees’ Federation of South India) and TFPC (Tamil Film Producers Council) started way back in January 23. Due to that, many films’ shooting stopped for almost a month, post production delayed and hence almost all the biggies scheduled for Summer have been postponed to July and later. Even the intervention of TN government’s Labour commission didn’t help and things got worse when Ameer stopped the shoot of Karthi’s “Alex Pandian”. Immediately, TFPC president SAC hit back by canceling all shooting for a day. The wage war between the unions narrowed out to 2 people’s ego clash and continued. After fail in further talks, FEFSI declared an official strike from April 7th whereas TFPC’s trying to form a new union. Finally, FEFSI called off strike on April 10th.

Summer starts with Rajesh’s Romantic Comedy “Oru Kal Oru Kannadi” starring Santhanam, Udhayanidhi & Hansika, on Tamil New Year. Only 2 biggies slated for release this quarter – Ajith’s most anticipated movie “Billa-2” and Karthi’s ‘Saguni‘. Let these films set the box-office on fire!

It seems the producers manipulate the figures and show either losses or very low profit margins. Otherwise why so many films are produced inspite of heavy losses as claimed by articles like the one above. Every year they make review for that year's performances of films and always claim that less than 5% of the movies made profits. This if iam correct has been the claims for the last 10 years or more.
Could be that many businessmen come to the industry for the reason that they can generate lots of black money by way of ticket collections, especially in the rural areas, which go unaccounted. These unaccounted money collected does not draw any taxes and could be shared by the theatre owners, distributors and maybe the producers too.
For these people it is very convenient and safe when the media claims that most movies have made losses.

சினிமா நபர்களால் ரொம்பப் பிரமாதமான படம் என்று சொல்லப்பட்ட கிருஷ்ணவேணி பஞ்சாலை பாக்ஸ் ஆபிஸில் பஞ்சராகியிருக்கிறது. வெளியான முதல் மூன்று தினங்களில் 3.64 லட்சங்களை மட்டுமே இப்படம் வசூலித்துள்ளது.

அருண் விஜய்யின் ராசி இந்தப் படத்திலும் தொடர்கிறது. சென்ற வார இறுதியில் 6.02 லட்சங்களை வசூலித்த இப்படம் 38 லட்சங்களுடன் மூன்றாவது இடத்தில் தொடர்கிறது.

2. மனம் கொத்திப் பறவை

சிவ கார்த்திகேயன் நடித்திருக்கும் மனம் கொத்திப் பறவை படத்தை எடுத்தவர்களே எதிர்பார்க்காத அளவுக்கு வசூலை பெற்று வருவது ஆச்சரியம். சென்ற வார இறுதியில் இப்படம் 20.4 லட்சங்களை வசூலித்துள்ளது. இதுவரையான இதன் சென்னை வசூல் 93 லட்சங்கள்.

1. கலகலப்பு

மீண்டும் அதே முதல் இடத்தில் கலகலப்பு. லாஜிக்கே இல்லாத இந்த காமெடிப் படம் பாக்ஸ் ஆபிஸில் கலக்குவதிலிருந்து நமது ரசனையின் தரத்தை அறிந்து கொள்ளலாம். இதன் சென்ற வார இறுதி வசூல் 25.7 லட்சங்கள். இதுவரை 5.8 கோடிகளை வசூல்

சென்னை பாக்ஸ் ஆஃபிஸ் - சகுனி முதலிடம்

புதுப்படங்கள் எதுவும் பாக்ஸ் ஆஃபிஸ் பக்கமே தென்படவில்லை. தடையறத்தாக்க சென்ற வார இறுதியில் 84 ஆயிரங்களை மட்டும் வசூலித்து ஐந்தாவது இடத்தைப் பிடித்துள்ளது. அப்படியானால் மற்றப் படங்களின் நிலையை யோசித்துப் பாருங்கள். இதுவரை சென்னையில் இப்படம் 50 லட்சங்களை வசூலித்துள்ளது.

4. முரட்டுக்காளை
சென்ற வார இறுதியில் இப்படம் 1.8 லட்சங்களை வசூலித்து நான்காவது இடத்தைப் பிடித்துள்ளது. இப்படம் இதுவரை வசூலித்துள்ளது 26 லட்சங்கள் மட்டுமே.

3. கலகலப்பு
முரட்டுக்காளைக்கு அப்படியே உல்டா இந்தப் படம். சென்ற வார இறுதியில் 3.8 லட்சங்களை வசூலித்திருக்கும் இப்படம் இதுவரை சென்னையில் 6.3 கோடிகளை தனதாக்கியுள்ளது.

2. மனம் கொத்திப் பறவை
சிவ கார்த்திகேயனின் இமேஜை சற்று உயர்த்தியிருக்கும் இந்தப் படம் சென்ற வார இறுதியில் 4.6 லட்சங்களை வசூலித்து இரண்டாவது இடத்தைப் பிடித்துள்ளது. இதுவரை இதன் வசூல் 1.46 கோடி.

1. சகுனி
எதிர்பார்த்தது போல் சகுனி முதல் இடத்தில். முதல் மூன்று நாட்களில் இப்படம் 2.27 கோடி :banghead:களை வசூலித்துள்ளது. முதல் மூன்று தினங்களில் சென்னையில் இரண்டு கோடிக்கு மேல் வசூலித்த முதல் படம் என்ற பெருமையை இதன் மூலம் சகுனி பெற்றிருக்கிறது. ஆனா*ல் திங்கள்கிழமையே பல திரையரங்குகள் காற்று வாங்கின என்பது துரதிர்ஷ்டமான செய்தி.

The first half of 2012 has been an interesting period for Kollywood. It has been the year of the underdog, with small budget movies doing well at the box-office.

There have been 73 straight Tamil releases. The hits are purely based on Return on Investment (ROI) and classified accordingly. The number one hit taking into consideration only theatrical collections, it is Udhayanidhi Stalin’s debut film Oru Kal Oru Kannadi (OKOK), followed by Kalkalappu @ Masala Cafe. Both these films from theatrical alone have made their profits.

OKOK said to be made on a budget of Rs 13 Cr is said to have got an estimated share of Rs 25 Cr from theatricals alone. If you take into consideration its satellite rights, overseas, audio and Telugu dubbing rights’ the film can be classified as a blockbuster.

Sundar C’s Kalakalappu @Masala Cafe made on a budget of Rs 6.5 Cr is estimated to have taken a theatrical share of Rs 11 Cr, making it a super hit if satellite rights are also included.

Three small budget films which can be classified as hits are Pandiraj’s Marina, Balaji Mohan’s Kadhalil Sodappavadhu Eppadi and Ezhil’s Manam Kothi Paravai,which are profitable if theatricals and other rights are taken into consideration. These films did reasonably well in theatres but will turn profitable only if other rights are also included.

The other films which are average or break even for the producers concerned taking into consideration theatrical and other rights are – 3, Ambuli, , Kazhugu, Vazhakku En 18/9, Vettai and Saguni

The highest grossing film at the box-office during the first half of the year is Nanban, which is said to have made Rs 28.5 Cr from theatricals, but was made on a budget of Rs 55 Cr

தமிழ் சினிமாவில் வருடாவருடம் நூற்றுக்கணக்கான படங்கள் வந்தாலும் அந்த படங்களின் நிலை என்ன? மொத்த வசூல் என்ன? படம் வெற்றியா தோல்வியா எண்டு எவராலுமே உறுதிசெய்ய முடியாத நிலை.. அதற்கு முதலாவது காரணம் தயாரிப்பாளர்கள் மற்றும் விநியோகிஸ்தர்கள்தான், இவர்களுக்கு மட்டும்தான் படத்தின் உண்மை நிலவரங்கள் தெரியும், அது மட்டுமல்ல உத்தியோகபூர்வமாக படத்தின் வசூல் கணக்கை வெளியிடவேண்டிய பொறுப்பும் இவர்களுக்கே உண்டு.. ஆனால் இவர்களில் எத்தனை பேர் வசூல் கணக்கை வெளியிடுகிறார்கள்? ஏதாவது ஓரிரு படத்திற்கே உண்மையான வசூல் நிலவரங்களை மக்கள் அறிய முடிகிறது…. இதற்கு உண்மையான காரணம் என்ன? ஏன் சம்பந்தப்பட்டவர்கள் வசூல் கணக்கை வெளியிடுவதில்லை? என்று பார்த்தால், ஒரு காரணம் அதிகமாக வசூலிச்சபடங்களின் உண்மை நிலவரங்களை வெளியிட்டா அதிகப்படியான வரி செலுத்தவேணும் என்று, ஆனால் இதற்கான தேவை மிகமிக குறைவென்றே சொல்லணும்.. ஏனென்றால் நூற்றுக்கணக்கான படங்கள் வருடாவருடம் வெளிவரும்போது அதில் தேறுபவை கிட்டத்தட்ட பத்து பதினைந்து படங்களே! அதிலும் மூக்கில விரலை வைக்கிறளவுக்கு வெற்றிப்படங்கள் என்றா நான்கு அல்லது ஐந்து படங்கள்தான்.. கடந்த ஆண்டை எடுத்து பார்த்தாலே புரியும் க்ஷப்ர்ஸ்ரீந்க்ஷன்ள்ற்ங்ழ் ரக படங்கள் என்றால் மங்காத்தா,கோ,காஞ்சனா மட்டுமே…

சரி, உண்மையான வசூல் கணக்கை வெளியிடாமைக்கான மற்ற காரணம் என்னவெண்டு பார்த்தால், “ஹீரோக்கள்ட கௌரவ பிரச்சனைதான்” உச்சத்தில் இருக்கும் ஹீரோக்கள்ட படங்கள் பிளாப்பாகி தியேட்டர் அதிபர்களுக்கு நஷ்டம் வரும்போது உண்மையான வசூல் கணக்கை சொன்னால் அவர்களின் இமேஜ் பாதிக்கப்பட்டிடும் என்றதுக்காக உண்மையான வசூலை சொல்வதில்லை. அதில் கொடுமை என்னவென்றால் ஓடாத மொக்கை படங்களுக்கும் “விண்ணைத்தாண்டும் விஸ்வரூப வெற்றி” என்று பில்டப் விடுவதுதான்.. சில நடிகர்கள் தங்களின் படங்கள் வெளிவந்து ரெண்டாம், மூன்றாம் நாளிலே மீடியாக்களுக்கு போய் “சக்சஸ் மீட்டிங்” என்று வைத்திடுவாங்க, அதில தங்களின் படங்களின் கலக்சன் எந்திரனை உடைச்சிட்டு, சிவாஜியை தாண்டிட்டு என்று கொஞ்சம்கூட வாய்கூசாமல் சொல்வார்கள். இதில பாவப்பட்ட ஜென்மங்கள் என்றால் தயாரிப்பாளர்கள்/ விநியோகிஸ்தர்கள்/ தியேட்டர் ஓனர்கள்தான்.. என்ன செய்ய உண்மை நிலவரங்களை சொன்னால் பிழைப்பு நாறிடும், அதால அமைதி காத்துக்கொண்டிருக்கவேண்டியதுதான்.. சிலவேளைகளில் தொடந்து ஒரு நடிகரின் படங்கள் நஷ்டத்தை ஏற்படுத்தின் ஒன்றுமே செய்யமுடியாத நிலையில் பப்ளிக்காயே குரல்கொடுப்பார்கள்..அப்போதுதான் சிலசில உண்மைகள் வெளிவரும்.

இதுக்கு நல்ல உதாரணம் என்றால் விஜயின் தொடர்ச்சியான ஐந்து படங்கள் தோற்கும்போது முதல் நான்கு படங்கள்வரை எந்த தியேட்டர் அதிபர்களும் பிரச்சனை எடுக்கவில்லை. அதை சாட்டாக வைத்து வேட்டைக்காரன் போன்ற படங்களுக்கு “சக்சஸ் மீட்டிங்” வேற வைச்சாங்கள்.. அந்த சமயம் நிறைய விஜய் ரசிகர்கள் வேட்டைக்காரன் எல்லாம் வெற்றி என்று நம்பிட்டு இருந்தார்கள், ஆனா சுறா என்ற படம் வந்து படுஊத்தல் ஊத்தவே இனியும் அமைதியா இருந்து பிரயோசனம் இல்லை என்று தியேட்டர் அதிபர்கள் விஜய்க்கெதிராக குரல் கொடுக்க தொடங்கினார்கள்..அதுபோலவே அண்மையிலும் தனுசின் படங்களின் தொடர்ச்சியான தோல்விகளும், அதிகரிக்கும் அவரின் சம்பளத்துக்கும் எதிராக குரல் எழுப்பப்பட்டது.. இவ்வளவு பிரச்சனைகளுக்கும் காரணமே விநியோகிஸ்தர்கள்தான்.. படங்கள் தோல்வியுறும் சமயத்தில் உண்மையான வசூல் நிலவரங்களை அறிவித்து ஹீரோக்கள்ட முகத்திரையை கிழித்தால் அவர்கள் தமது சம்பளத்தையும் குறைப்பார்கள், அடுத்த படத்தை வெல்ல வைக்கணும் என்ற முனைப்போடு செயல்படுவார்கள்.. அல்லாவிடில் சம்பளத்தையும் அதிகரித்து ஹீரோக்கள் நல்லா பிழைப்பார்கள், தயாரிப்பாளர்/விநியோகிஸ்தர் பாடுதான் திண்டாட்டமா போகும்..

அதைவிட இன்னுமொரு பிரச்சனை என்னவென்றால் பாக்ஸ் ஆபீஸ் தொடர்பாக ஊடகங்களின் செய்திகள்… இதை முழுமையாக ஆராயப்போனால் பத்து பதிவுகளே தாண்டிடும். வெறும் இரண்டாயிரம் ரூபா இருந்தாலே போதும் நாமும் ஒரு வெப்சைட்டை தொடக்கி மனம்போல செய்திகளைபோட.. அண்மையில் நண்பன் வெளிவரும்போது ள்ன்ல்ங்ழ்ஜ்ர்ர்க்ள்.ஸ்ரீர்ம் இல் வரும் பாக்ஸ் ஆபீஸ் ரிப்போட்டை பார்த்திருந்தால் தெரிந்திருக்கும், ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் உலகம்பூராக எவ்வளவு வசூல் எண்டு கணித்து போடுவாங்கள்… எப்பிடியையா சாத்தியம்? ஒரு இரவுக்குள்ள உலகம் முழுவதும் ரிலீசான படத்திண்ட கலக்சனை எண்ணி அனுப்புவாங்களோ! ஆங்கில படங்களுக்கு வேணும்னா சாத்தியப்படலாம். ஆனா இந்திய திரைப்படங்களுக்கு அறவே சாத்தியமில்லை…………

எல்லாத்தையும்விட மிகப்பெரிய முறைகேடு என்னவென்றால் அண்மையில் வெளிவந்த ஓகேஓகே படத்தின் சென்னை பாக்ஸ் ஆபீஸ் ரிப்போட்தான். 2007 காலப்பகுதியிலிருந்து இன்றுவரை வார இறுதியில் க்ஷங்ட்ண்ய்க்ஜ்ர்ர்க்ள்.ஸ்ரீர்ம் இல் வெளிவரும் சென்னை பாக்ஸ் ஆபீஸ் நிலவரங்கள் மக்கள் மத்தியில் ஓரளவு நம்பகத்தன்மையை ஏற்படுத்திக்கொண்டிருந்தது. ஆனால், இனிவரும் காலப்பகுதியில் அந்த நம்பிக்கை அறவே இல்லாமல் போகும் என்றுதான் சொல்ல தோணுகிறது, ஆமா மூன்றாம் வார முடிவில் 7.85ஸ்ரீழ் என்று போட்டிருந்தார்கள், அதன் பிறகு என்ன மாயம் நடந்திச்சோ தெரியல நான்காம் வாரம் முடியேக்க 15ஸ்ரீழ் என்று போட்டிருந்தார்கள்.. சரி, மறுபடியும் பழைய நிலவரங்களை பார்ப்பம் என்றால், முந்தய வார வசூல் எல்லாவற்றையுமே மாற்றி கூட்டிவிட்டார்கள்…. என்னய்யா பித்தலாட்டம்? ர்ச்ச்ண்ஸ்ரீண்ஹப் ள்ண்ற்ங் என்று க்ஷங்ட்ண்ய்க்ஜ்ர்ர்க்ள் ஐ நம்பி பார்த்தால் எங்கட காதிலையே பூ வைப்பார்கள்போலும்…. அது மட்டுமல்ல வல்லவன் படம் பிளாப் என்று முன்னர் க்ஷங்ட்ண்ய்க்ஜ்ர்ர்க்ள் ல போட்டிருந்தார்கள்.. பிறகு சிம்பு எல்லா மேடைகளிலும் வல்லவன் வெற்றி வெற்றி என்று பில்டப் விட இவங்களும் ஹிட் என்றே அறிவித்துவிட்டார்கள். அதேபோல அண்மையில் வெளிவந்த நண்பனுக்கு மூன்று/நான்கு வாரம் கழிந்தபின் ஹிட் என்று அறிவித்தாங்க, பின்னர் சில நாள் கழித்து நண்பன் எந்திரனுக்கு அடுத்தபடியாக அதிக கலக்சனை அள்ளிட்டு என்று ஒரு செய்தியை போட்டு நண்பனை “சூப்பர் ஹிட்” ஆக அறிவித்தார்கள்.. 150ஸ்ரீழ் வரை வசூலித்த சிவாஜியை நண்பன் பிரேக் பண்ணிட்டு என்றால் ஏனையா சூப்பர் ஹிட் குடுக்கிறீங்க? பேசாம பிளக்பாஸ்டர் குடுக்கவேண்டியதுதானே!!!….. ஒன்று மட்டும் சொல்லமுடிகிறது க்ஷங்ட்ண்ய்க்ஜ்ர்ர்க்ள் ஆனது சிலரின் கைப்பிள்ளையாக செயற்படத்தொடங்கிவிட்டது.. சாதாரண ********(தணிக்கை செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது) இணையத்தளங்கள் ஒரு பக்க சார்பாக செய்திகள் போடுவது வேற விடயம், ஆனால் எல்லோராலும் நம்பப்படும் ஒரு இணையத்தளம் இவ்வாறு பக்கசார்பாக நடப்பது வேதனைக்குரிய விடயம்தான்……………

i strongly object this...my close friend who is a theatre owner told me vettaikaran did better business than any other vijay movie...even official page of vetri cinemas confirms it...its al beacuse of dirty politics but other four films definitely a average fare...
