Tall beauty Anushka will be the heroine in the Telugu remake of Malayalam super hit Bodyguard, which was recently remade in Tamil as Kaavalan with Vijay and Asin in the lead. Directed by Gopichand of Don Seenu fame, the remake will hit the floors on April 4, it is said.

The Telugu version has Victory Venkatesh as the hero; Bellamkonda Suresh of Sri Sai Ganesh Productions is the producer. Notably, this is the third time Venkatesh and Anushka come together. Earlier they worked in Chinthakayala Ravi and Nagavalli.

Therile, my mom saw the movie and was trying to figure out the story after movie got over (she didn't like the movie).

I have seen Vedham (if you guys wish, I can give you the story). The film starts promisingly, then in between the pace is lost adding up to a lengthy climax.
The movie was projected to be a connection between 5-6 strangers, connected circumstancially. The only connection established was between 2 characters, but all of them are at a same place at the same time where an incident changes their attitude, hence helping each other to come out of the situation.

Anuksha, eventhough, she plays a major role, her character does not stick neither with the story nor with the suituations. Her character is forced into, but she had done a good job (including glamour). She has long dialogues, emotions where she excels best. Hope she repeats the performance in Vanam too.

The hero Allu Arjun gives an excellent act.

Manchu Manoj (Bharat) comes for 2 songs, dances, fights, shouts .... watch the movie to know what happens to him. He had a lot of scope to perform but did not. Hope Bharat understands and performs good.

Few weeks back, Vijayashanti famously announced that she would soon star as Rani Rudrama Devi. But now it is more or less confirmed that director Gunasekhar is looking to make the movie on the queen with Anushka playing the title role.

Rani Rudrama Devi was one of the most prominent rulers of the Kakatiya dynasty on the Deccan Plateau, being one of the few ruling queens in Indian history. She was born, as Rudramba, to King Ganapathideva (or Ganapatideva, or Ganapathi Devudu). As Ganapathideva had no sons, Rudramma was formally designated as a son through the ancient Putrika ceremony and given the male name of Rudradeva. When she was only fourteen years old, Rani Rudramma Devi succeeded her father. Rudramadevi was married to Veerabhadra (some say that she was only engaged to him but never married him), Eastern Chalukyan prince of Nidadavolu of West Godavari district.

An able fighter and dynamic ruler, Rudramba defended the kingdom from the Cholas and the Yadavas, earning their respect. She was one of very few female rulers in south India during her time. Rani Rudramma Devi ruled from 1261 or 1262 until 1295 or 1296.

Legend has it that due to her upbringing as a boy, Rani Rudrama was not much a connoisseur of music and art, but she was quite taken by a form of Shiva Tandavam - Perini which was extinct and it was brought back by Dr. Nataraja Ramakrishna. She found this dance more of an exercise to the soldiers and had it made part of the training of the royal force.

She has enough reasons to host a big bash, as she has become the most sought after actress in Tamil cinema, quietly replacing Nayanthara at the top.

However, the recluse actress, will be holding a very private party at home in Hyderabad. Telugu cinema still remains her first love, though of late box-office wise she is hotter in Tamil.
