Tollywood star Chiranjeevi visits Rajini in Singapore

It is known news to everyone that Superstar Rajinikanth is taking rest in Singapore after discharging from the hospital.

He is staying in an ultra modern service apartment in an up market area in Singapore and will be back in Chennai mostly by 30 days. Tollywood Megastar Chiranjeevi who is a very close friend to Rajini flew to Singapore in order to inquire about his health condition. He visited Rajini and spent sometime and discussed about his health condition. Rajini is visiting the hospital for periodic check ups and now his health is absolutely fine.

He is spending his time with his grand children and doing yoga which is a regular part of his life. Rajini will be starting the shoot of Rana, after taking a few weeks rest.

Meanwhile, his fans are planning for a big reception for Rajini as soon as he returns from Singapore.

சிகிச்சை முடிந்து, சிங்கப்பூரில் ஓய்விலிருக்கும் சூப்பர் ஸ்டார் ரஜினி நலமுடன் திரும்பி வரவும், புதிய வேகத்துடன் கலைத் துறையில் சாதனை படைக்கவும் அவரது அண்ணன் சத்யநாராயண ராவ் கெயக்வாட் பெங்களூர் கோயிலில் தொடர்ந்து 3 நாட்கள் சிறப்புப் பூஜை மற்றும் யாகம் நடத்தினார்.

பெங்களூர் கோவிபுரத்தில் உள்ள அம்பா பாவனி கோயிலில் காலை 8.30 மணிக்கு பூஜை தொடங்கியது. பல்வேறு பூஜைகள் மற்றும் வழிபாடுகள் நடந்தன. பின்னர் வந்திருந்த அனைவருக்கும் அன்னதானம் வழங்கப்பட்டது.

மன்றத் தலைவர்களுக்கு அழைப்பு!

சௌந்தர்யா திருமணத்தின்போது ரசிகர்களுக்கு விருந்துவைப்பதாகச் சொன்னார் ரஜினி. ஆனால், ரசிகர்கள் எவ்வளவு பேர் திரளுவார்கள் என்பதைக் கணக்கிட முடியாததாலும், தேர்தல் பரபரப்பாலும் விருந்து தள்ளிப்போனது. ரசிகர்களின் பிரார்த்தனை களைக் கேள்விப்பட்டு சிலிர்த்துப்போன ரஜினி, அனைத்து மாவட்டத் தலைவர்களையும் சந்திக்க இருக்கிறார். ரஜினிக்காகப் பிரார்த்தனை நடத்திய ரசிகர் மன்ற நிர்வாகிகளின் பட்டியலும் தீவிரமாகத் திரட்டப்படுகிறது. 'ராணா’வுக்குத் தயார்!

ஷூட்டிங்கில் கலந்துகொள்கிற அளவுக்கு ரஜினியின் உடல்நிலை இன்னும் சரியாகவில்லை. வேகமாக நடக்கவோ, விறுவிறுவெனப் பேசவோ ரஜினியால் முடியவில்லை. ஆனால், ஒரு மாத காலத்துக்குள் இதெல்லாம் சரியாகிவிடும் என உறுதியாக நம்புகிறார் ரஜினி. ரஜினிக்கு சிரமத்தை ஏற்படுத்தாதபடி 'ராணா’வின் கதை சற்றே மாற்றப்பட்டு வருகிறது. ரஜினியின் போர்ஷனும் குறைக்கப்படலாம் என்கிறார்கள்.

'ராணா’ படத்தில் இருந்து வடிவேலு நீக்கப்பட்டதால், ரஜினி குறித்து அவர் ஆவேசமாகச் சீறினார். தேர்தலுக்குப் பிறகு திரைத் துறையே வடிவேலுவை ஓரமாகத் தள்ளிவைத்துவிட்டது. தன்னை வசை பாடிய மனோரமா வுக்கு 'அருணாச்சலம்’ படத்தில் வாய்ப்பு அளித்து அசத்திய ரஜினி, அதே பாணியில் 'ராணா’வில் வடிவேலுவைச் சேர்க்கச் சொல்லி இருக்கிறார். வடிவேலு உடன் கஞ்சா கருப்புவும் படத்தில் இருப்பார் என்கிறது யூனிட். இது குறித்து வடிவேலுவுக்குத் தகவல் சொல்லப்பட... தழுதழுப்பே பதிலாக வந்ததாம்.

ஏப்ரல் மாதம் இருபத்தெட்டாம் தேதி, இரவு பத்தரை மணியளவில் என் வீட்டுத் தொலைபேசி ஒலித்தது.

''அண்ணா! நாளைக்குக் காலேல, ஒன்பது மணிக்கு - ஏவி.எம் ஸ்டூடியோ பிள்ளையார் கோவில்ல - 'ராணா’ பட பூஜை; நீங்க அவசியம் வரணும்!''

- ரஜினிதான் பேசியது.

'அவ்ளோ சீக்கிரம் காலேல - என்னால ரெடியாக முடியாதே... மருந்து மாத்திரைஎல்லாம் சாப்டணும்... நான் வரணும்னு - நீர் ஆசைப்படறீரா?’

- இப்படி நான் கேட்டவுடன், ''நீங்க வராம எப்படி? நியாயமா, நான் நேர்ல வந்துதான் கூப்டிருக்கணும்; அதுதான் மரியாதே! But உடம்பு கொஞ்சம் சரி யில்லேண்ணா எனக்கு... அதான்!''
- என்று ரஜினி சொல்லும்போதே, வழக்கமாக அவர் குரலில் உள்ள குதூகலம் - missing!

விழாவிற்கு, மறுநாள் சென்றேன்; என்னை ஆரத்தழுவி வரவேற்றார்.

அப்பொழுதும் கவனித்தேன் - ரஜினி, ரஜினியாக இல்லை; ஏதோ ஓர் உபாதை, பாதாதிகேசம் படர்ந்து அவரது இயல்பு நிலையைப் பாதித்திருப்பதாக என் உள் மனம் உணர்த்தியது.

'அண்ணா! அண்ணா!’ என்று என்னை அடிக்கொருதரம் அழைத்து அளவளாவுகையில், துரிதகதியில் உதடுகள் துப்பும் தமிழ்ச் சொற்கள் தலைபோகிற அவசரத்தில் வந்து விழுகின்ற அழகும் -

சற்றே புருவங்களைச் சுருக்கி, நம் கருத்துகளுக்குச் செவிசாய்க்கும் சிரத்தையும் -

இரு இமைகளுக்கிடையே, இரண்டு தணற் துண்டுகளைப் பொருத்தினாற்போல் - சதா கனன்றுகொண்டிருக்கும் கருவிழிகளின் தகிப்பும் -

காஞ்சி மஹாப் பெரியவாளை நமக்கு நினைவூட்டுகிறாற்போல், ஓர் ஆன்மிக வெளிச்சத்தைப் பிலிற்றும், அருளார்ந்த அறிவுசார்ந்த கூர்த்த நோக்கும் -

இத்யாதி; இத்யாதி... அன்றைய ரஜினியிடம் - அவர் ஒப்பனையில் வந்தபோதும், காணக் கிடைக்காதுபோய் - அவரைப் புகைபடிந்த ஓவியமாய்க் காண நேர்ந்தது!

எனது எண்ண ஓட்டம் - அநேகமாக அந்த விழாவிற்கு வந்திருந்த எல்லோரது எண்ண ஓட்டமாகவும் இருந்திருக்கக்கூடும்; ஆதலால்தான் - களிப்பும் கலகலப்புமாக இருக்க வேண்டிய நேரத்தில், ஓர் இறுக்கம் -

நாம் வாயால் ஊதினால், நிலைக் கண்ணாடியின் மேல் ஒரு mist படர்ந்திருக்குமே - அப்படிப் படர்ந்திருந்தது பலர் பார்வையில்!

இவ் விழாவிற்கு ஓரிரு மாதங்கள் முன்புதான் -

ரஜினி வீட்டிலிருந்து எனக்கோர் அழைப்பு வந்தது; திருமதி லதா ரஜினிகாந்த்தான் பேசினார் தொலைபேசியில்.

''வாலி சார்! நம்ம சாருக்கு - பாலசந்தர் சார் 'ரஜினிகாந்த்’னு பேர் வெச்சு, இன்றோடு முப்பத்தஞ்சு வருஷமாகிறது... இன்று அந்தப் பேருக்கான birth day. நீங்க அவசியம் சாப்பிட வரணும்... வந்தா - i will feel as if i have been highly blessed!'

நான் அவ் விருந்துக்குப் போனேன். அற்புதமான சாப்பாடு; ஆத்மார்த்தமான விருந்தோம்பல்!

நூறு விழுக்காடு - ரஜினி ரஜினியாக இருந்தார் அன்று - so cute; so cheerful; with ecstasy and energy!

- இப்படி இருந்த ஒருவர், இத்துணை குறுகிய காலத்திற்குள், எப்படி இப்படிப் பொலிவிழந்து வலுவிழந்துபோனார் என்று எண்ணுங்கால் - விந்தை ஒரு புறமும் விசனம் ஒரு புறமும் மேலிட்டு நின்றாலும் -

நான் என் நெஞ்ச அலமாரியில் அடுக்கிவைத்திருக்கும் நினைவு ஏடுகளை இப்போது, தூசி தட்டிப் பார்க்கத் தோன்றுகிறது!

ஒருநாள் இரவு பத்து மணிக்கு எனக்கொரு phone வந்தது.

''அண்ணா! Music academy ல உங்க நாடகம் பாத்தேன்; ப்ரமாதம்; என்னெ என்னவோ பண்ணிருச்சு உங்க dialogue எல்லாம்! இந்த நாடகத்துல நான் பாரதியாரா நடிக்கணும்... என்ன சொல்றீங்க?''

- இப்படி ரஜினி கேட்டதும் - நான் திகைத்துப்போனேன்.

அப்போதே அவர் சூப்பர் ஸ்டார். 'அன்னை ஓர் ஆலய’த்தில் நடித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தார்.

அவர் வீட்டுக்கு என்னை வரவழைத்து - ''நாடகத்துக்குத் தகுந்த மாதிரி - என் பட வேலைகளை நான் தள்ளிவெச்சுக்கறேன்; நான் பாரதியாரா நடிக்கணும்; தமிழை - தினம் பிழையில்லாம உங்ககிட்ட பேசிக்காட்டறேன்!'' என்று உணர்ச்சிவசப்பட்டுப் பேசினார்.

அடுத்தவர்; உணர்வுகளை அணுவளவும் ஊனப்படுத்தாத உத்தமர் திரு.ரஜினிகாந்த்!

Rajini is doing good in singapore. Now rejenuvation theraphy is being offered to him.Less food,walking,good sleep,prayers,likewise he is spending quality and healthy time there. He has planned some list of activities to do,once he returns back to chennai...

(1) To meet jayalaliyha- CM had forgotten all the past incidents and had assured to do any help to superstar at any time when he was ill. He was very much moved by this gesture and has decided to meet cm immediately after his return...

(2)To meet karunanithi- Kalaignar was the first person to run to hospital on hearing news about rajini's health. When rajini made a phone call from singapore to kalaignar,he said, "one doctor had informed me that your health condition is very worse and you couldn't even walk,thats why immediately I came to see you.He also said that,if rajini has faced any difficulties during his rule,he apologize for it. This made rajini very emotional and he is going to meet kalaignar at gopalapuram with a gift...

(3)RANA shooting: Rajini's health has not improved upto the level of shooting for the movie.He couldn't speak and walk fastly like before. still he believes that,Within a month,he will be absolutely fine.

(4)Rajini has decided to cast vadivelu in RANA. This news has been sent to vadivelu too. Vadivelu ss very moved on hearing it.Along with vadivelu,kanja karupu will also be in the cast...

(5) He is going to call all the distict heads of fan clubs who prayed for him and is going to offer big treat for them...

(6) Similarly,he also has plans of honouring all the doctors from isabella,ramachandra and mt.elizabeth hospitals who treated him. He feels that,they are the ones,who gave him rebirth.

(7)Thamilizhai soundarrajan has written a letter to rajinikanth that, "you consider this as your second birth...In the first birth,Though you had everything to bring social change, you was only doing the job of an actor. Not decided about Vadivelu in 'Rana': KS

Director K S Ravikumar has said that no decision on roping in Vadivelu for 'Rana', his forthcoming film with Superstar Rajinikanth, had been taken and things would be finalised only after Rajini is back from Singapore.

The 'Muthu' and 'Padayappa' director was reacting to reports appeared in a section of the media, claiming that Rajini wants to have Vadivelu in the project, as he would like to give a fresh lease of life to the comedian, who is suffering for his 'comments' in the campaign during the Assembly polls.

"We all are waiting for the Superstar to come to India. His health is the first and foremost priority. We will decide on Rana only after he is back. As of now, Rajini and Deepika alone have been confirmed for the film," he said.

Reassuring that the project is very much on, Ravikumar added: "Rajini is very interested to restart 'Rana'. It is his ambitious film and it is going to be a real treat to all his fans. I may visit him in Singapore soon."

முதல்வர் ஜெயலலிதா, திமுக தலைவர் கருணாநிதி, இயக்குநர் பாலச்சந்தர், ராணா இயக்குநர் கே எஸ் ரவிக்குமார், ஷங்கர் ஆகியோரிடம் தொலைபேசியில் பேசி, தனது உடல்நிலை குறித்து தகவல் தெரிவித்தார்.

நேற்று முன்தினம் இந்திய நேரப்படி மாலை 6.45 மணிக்கு கவிஞர் வைரமுத்துவுடன் போனில் பேசினார் சூப்பர் ஸ்டார்.

ரஜினி போனில் பேசியது பற்றி வைரமுத்து அளித்துள்ள பேட்டி இது:

"நேற்று முன்தினம் (புதன்கிழமை) மாலை 6.45 மணிக்கு ரஜினிகாந்த் என்னுடன் போனில் பேசினார். அவர் குரல் தெளிவாக இருந்தது. பழைய குரலைப்போல் இளமையாகவும், வளமாகவும் இருந்தது. அவருடைய குரலில் தெளிவு இருந்தது. ஆரோக்கியம் தெரிந்தது. என்னிடம் அவர் நலம் விசாரித்தார்.

அவருடைய நலம் பற்றி நான் விசாரித்தேன். உடல்நிலை நன்றாக தேறியிருப்பதாக அவர் கூறினார். மருத்துவர்களின் அறிவுரைப்படி, உணவு சாப்பிட்டு வருவதாகவும், சின்ன சின்ன உடற்பயிற்சிகளை செய்து வருவதாகவும் சொன்னார். ஆரோக்கியமாக இருப்பதாக உணர்கிறேன் என்று கூறினார்.

வாழ்த்துக்கள்

"பூரண உடல் நலம் பெறும் வரை, சிங்கப்பூரிலேயே ஓய்வு எடுங்கள். படப்பிடிப்பை விட, உங்கள் உடல்நலம் முக்கியம். நல்ல உள்ளங்களின் வாழ்த்துக்கள் உங்களுக்கு கூடுதல் பலமாக இருக்கிறது. நீங்கள் பூரண நலத்துடன் சென்னை திரும்புவீர்கள் என நம்புகிறேன். வாழ்த்துக்கள்'' என்று நான் ரஜினிகாந்திடம் கூறினேன்.''

The Rajini mystique

He may be getting old but his appeal is strong as it has ever been. When he fell critically ill recently, his fans all over the world held their collective breath. What makes him tick? K. HARIHARAN tries to understand the phenomenon called Rajinikanth…

It must have taken some kind of monstrous energy to drive an actor to work in over 100 films within a span of 10 years, from 1975 to 1985. It must have also given some kind of an uncanny pleasure to participate indiscriminately in films with no idea of what they were about. And at the same time it must have been scary working in an environment one didn't belong to, speak an unfamiliar language and work with almost every director and production house in Tamil Nadu and Andhra! In old myths such characters were referred to as ‘Rakshas' while today we fondly call them ‘Rebels'!

Undoubtedly, Rajinikanth is the greatest rebel that any cinema has ever witnessed. Starting his career appropriately with a rebel called K. Balachander in the mid 1970s, he moves up to become the sole rebel in the conformist, Hollywood-like epics of Shankar. All that he displayed on screen was raw energy and no filmmaker could articulate his unique self-consciousness. Rajini was the actor, the character and the director who shaped the actor playing the character, all rolled in one! And that does not mean that he was monotonously the same from 1975 to 2010! What we saw on screen was Rajinikanth simply growing and symbolising the ‘natural' rebel in him in different roles! Although filmmakers try their best to maintain his ‘youthful' rebel image on-screen, strangely he never hides his aging process off-screen.

A matter of timing

Two factors come up-front when we want to understand the reason for his immeasurable success. The first is the public time/space which he comes to inhabit. His entry into cinema and the declaration of the Emergency by Indira Gandhi bear a remarkable coincidence. By default Rajini donned the mantle of a symbolic protest through the viewer's immediate acceptance in his role as the Machiavellian predator in K. Balachander's “Apoorva Ragangal”. Like the Prince in Machiavelli's famous treatise 500 years ago, he goes about inadvertently structuring a discourse in conflict resolution with an emphasis on valuing dissent as the cornerstone for good democracy. We must also realise that until 1983 he was equally popular in Telugu and Kannada films where similar political conflicts were staged.

Indira Gandhi's Emergency was a rude shock for the first generation, post-independent Indians but it was a bigger blow for the Tamil people who were still immersed in the euphoria of a ‘free' Tamil country and its imagined privileges as exalted by the Dravidian politicians. Seeing their leaders crawling for merciful alliance with Mrs. Gandhi of the Hindi belt, the Tamil dream all but crumbled! I cannot think of another Indian State where the local language is valorised as ‘ethereal'; the soil as the most fragrant and their women as the most virtuous! One cannot imagine a Marathi or a Hindi song which compares their phonetics with something as tasteful as honey and elixir!

The second factor was an almost global disillusionment with the State's capacity to handle human rights. The atrocities of the Vietnam war; the fragmenting of balkanised nations; the battle over oil and the destabilisation of communist bastions like the Soviet Union and China demoralise people and veers them away from the belief that the sole purpose of ‘culture' is to create universal happiness. And ‘culture' in Tamil Nadu, especially in the films of MGR and Sivaji Ganesan, had become just too syrupy saccharine for one's taste! The Tamil people were now ready for the bitter taste of ‘disgust' or ‘bibhatsa' in order to wake themselves back into reality, ground zero! And an individual called Sivaji Rao is consecrated as an icon called Rajinikanth at the right time by an army of new sculptors and poets like K. Balachander, Bharatiraja, Bhagyaraj, Mahendran, Ilayaraja, Vairamuthu, S.P. Balasubramiam etc. His arrival is heralded by hundreds of fan clubs who use this new icon to voice their protests which few understood. His image was used by Indian filmmakers to express their angst and fears in complex and confused ways too. It is my personal feeling that his unusually large face on a small shoulder frame accompanied by an abnormal shock of hair with a large forehead has also contributed to his distinctive persona on screen!

Appealing humility

In a very moving speech during the celebration of compatriot Kamal Haasan's 50 years in cinema, he declared that he owed his career growth largely to the advice given by Kamal Haasan in his early stage. That was the humble Sivaji Rao speaking, acknowledging the fact that the iconic Rajinikanth existed exclusively in the realm of popular cinema and her fans alone. Hats off to both of them who have not sold their iconic status to sell consumer products and raked in the moolah like scores of their famous ‘filmi' fraternity have done!

Sadly, the corrupt Tamil leaders re-emerged unscathed and by the mid 1980s all the sycophancy of Tamil chauvinism was restored while the bitter taste continued to linger on. The filmic output took a serious plunge, to such an extent that between 1995 and 2010 Rajinikanth has done only seven films! Was it a conscious decision not to let his iconic status be misused? In a very strange way, his own dream production “Baba” becomes a significant discourse of his own status, in however a fragmented way.

Tough act to follow

It required a whole new movement to begin again to replace the vacuum created by one icon in the early 21st century with the dark and cruel films like “Kadhal” leading to “Pithamagan”, “Subramaniapuram” and many others. Together these films constitute what that one icon called Rajinikanth set out to do!

சிங்கப்பூர்: ரஜினி எப்போது வருவார் என்ற கேள்வியே ஓராயிரம் செய்திகளுக்கு அடித்தளமாக அமைந்துள்ளது. இந்த கேள்வியைச் சுற்றிச் சுற்றியே கடந்த 30 நாட்களாக செய்திகள் வந்த வண்ணமுள்ளன.

சென்னை: எந்திரன் படத்தை அதிக விலைக்கு வாங்க வைத்ததாகவும், பணத்தை திருப்பிக் கேட்டால் தர மறுப்பதாகவும் சன் பிக்சர்ஸ் சிஓஓ ஹன்ஸ்ராஜ் சக்சேனா, அவரது உதவியாளர் அய்யப்பன் மற்றும் ஜெமினி பிலிம் சர்க்யூட் மீது திரையரங்க உரிமையாளர்கள் இன்று சென்னை மாநகர கமிஷனர் அலுவலகத்தில் புகார் கொடுத்தனர்.

பெரும் தொகை கொடுத்து வாங்கிய அந்தப் படம், எதிர்ப்பார்த்த அளவுக்கு ஓடாததால் தங்கள் பணத்தை திரும்பப் பெற்றுத் தருமாறு அவர்கள் கமிஷனரிடம் முறையிட்டுள்ளனர்.

அவர்களுடன் தமிழ்நாடு திரையரங்கு உரிமையாளர்கள் சங்க இணைச் செயலாளர் திருச்சி ஸ்ரீதரும் வந்தார்.

அவர்கள் போலீஸ் கமிஷனர் அலுவலகத்தில் சன் பிக்சர்ஸ் நிறுவனம் மீதும் சக்சேனா, உதவியாளர் அய்யப்பன் மீதும் புகார் மனு அளித்தனர். அதில் கூறி இருப்பதாவது:

சன் பிக்சர்ஸ், 'எந்திரன்' படத்தை தயாரித்து வெளியிட்டது. அப்படத்தை திரையிடுவதற்காக சன் பிக்சர்ஸ் நிறுவனத்துக்கு அய்யப்பன் என்பவர் மூலம் அட்வான்ஸ் தொகை கொடுத்தோம். அதில் எங்களுக்கு தர வேண்டிய 1 கோடியே 27 லட்சத்து 16 ஆயிரத்து 431 ரூபாயை எங்களுக்கு தராமல் இழுத்தடிக்கிறார்.

இந்த அட்வான்ஸ் தொகையை தருமாறு பலமுறை கேட்டோம். ஆனால் தரவில்லை. எனவே சன் பிக்சர்ஸ் நிறுவனம் மீதும் அய்யப்பன் மீதும் நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கும்படி கேட்டுக் கொள்கிறோம்," என்று குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளனர்.

தியேட்டர் உரிமையாளர்கள் இணை செயலாளர் திருச்சி ஸ்ரீதர் கூறும்போது, "சன் பிக்சர்ஸ் நிறுவனத்துக்கு அட்வான்ஸ் தொகையில் ராமநாதபுரம், ரமேஷ், தியேட்டருக்கு ரூ.27 லட்சமும், திருப்பூர் கே.எஸ். தியேட்டருக்கு ரூ. 10 லட்சத்து 32 ஆயிரத்து 956ம், ராஜபாளையம் ஜெய் ஆனந்த் தியேட்டருக்கு ரூ.27 லட்சத்து 89 ஆயிரத்து 114 யும், பழனி சினி வள்ளுவர் தியேட்டருக்கு ரூ.21 லட் சத்து 83 ஆயிரத்து 60ம், பொள்ளாச்சி ஏ.டி.எஸ்.சி. தியேட்டருக்கு ரூ.40 லட் சத்து 10 ஆயிரத்து 761ம் வர வேண்டியுள்ளது," என்றார்.

இதை உறுதிபடுத்திய தீபிகா, “ரஜினியுடன் பேசியது இனிமையான அனுபவம். அவருடன் ஷூட்டிங்கில் கலந்துகொள்ளும் தினத்தை ஆவலாக எதிர்பார்க்கிறேன்!” என்று கூறியுள்ளார்.

‘ராணா’ படத்தின் இணை தயாரிப்பாளர் டாக்டர் முரளி மனோகரிடம் கேட்டபோது, “மீண்டும் ஷூட்டிங் ஆரம்பிப்பது பற்றிதான் பேசிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறோம். செப்டம்பரில் கண்டிப்பாக ஷூட்டிங் தொடங்கும்” என்றார்.

ரஜினியின் உடல்நிலை பற்றி வந்த வதந்திகள் அவரை பாதித்துள்ளது. அதை போக்க நினைக்கும் ரஜினி, அதற்காகவே விரைவில் ஷூட்டிங்கில் பங்கேற்க நினைக்கிறார். இதன் காரணமாகத்தான் தீபிகாவிடமும் ரஜினி பேசியுள்ளார் என்று ‘ராணா’ பட வட்டாரங்கள் தெரிவித்தன.

It would be blasphemous to call Rajnikanth, Rajnikanth. He is and will always be Tamil cinema’s Thalaivar. The response and the verve that single epithet evokes cannot be expressed in words. When Thalaivar was rushed to the hospital for alleged food poisoning, it was not just his family but millions of fans stopped what they were doing and prayed. Worried and tensed we were refreshing cinema websites by the minute. When he was transferred from Chennai to Singapore, the flight was heavier with well-wishes spanning the globe.

What is it about Thalaivar that strikes a chord so deeply? Instantly, we respond with Humility. But every actor is modest. It has become a fashion statement to say that all the good luck is the grace of the stars above. So it’s not just that. Style, the next swift response. Everytime he twirled his glasses, our throats were hoarse from screaming. His stride got my grandmother whistling. It seems like just yesterday when Thalaivar perched on the swing challenging Neelambari. Could it be that he charmed the socks out of us? Hmmm… We do have Kamal for that. So what is it? When we watch Thalaivar in a movie, we don’t see him as an actor. Instead we see him as Thalaivar. He is a larger than life phenomenon, we accept that. His sky defying actions rarely raise an eyebrow, we expect that. Call us fools and the pain in your jaw is from the irked punch delivered. Never mess with a die- hard fan, not only can we debate for long hours into the night, when it push comes to shove, we can wrestle too.

Most of us became ardent fans watching Thalaivar don negative roles. Rewind to Parattai and Ramanathan. He can play a saint and a don with equal exuberance. From ghosts to sci-fi, his movies have spanned various genres. We are crazy about Thalapathi and Thillu Mullu. If you thought Thalaivar was awesome in Sivaji, download Mullum Malarum. Baasha can make a fan out of a five year old. As an actor he has more than proved his mettle. Thalaivar introduced Punch dialogues to Tamil audiences. Although toddlers seem to be making their attempts at punch lines, some of the most iconic dialogues can be recollected even during deep slumber. There is even a book published for the less informed.

Once Thalaivar’s movie hits the screens, we have to get done with the initial 5 rounds to whistle and scream our lungs out, then return for a ritual 5 rounds to savor the enigma and then for the final couple of times to pay attention to the plot and analyze what the story is really about. We have to soak in the drama and record the year as a Thalaivar release year. It’s the Diwali, Pongal and Christmas all tied together.

The man is in his 60’s but scares the hell out of the 20 something stars. He still claims that his best friend is from his conductor days. In fact he doesn’t cringe but fondly recollects being a conductor. This in an era, when actors shamelessly claim that they would have gone on to become surgeons and athletes. If somebody did ask him what he would have become if he did not enter films, he would swiftly reply chief conductor and then thoughtfully add a maybe. He is a man of humble beginnings and he stands with both feet on the ground. His charisma is not because he is humble but because he reminds us of a common man. சென்னை: வரும் புதன்கிழமை சூப்பர் ஸ்டார் ரஜினிகாந்த் சென்னை திரும்புகிறார் என தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. அவருக்கு ரசிகர்கள் சார்பில் சென்னையில் மிகப் பிரமாண்ட வரவேற்பு அளிக்கப்படுகிறது.

இந்திய சினிமாவின் முடிசூடா மன்னனாகத் திகழ்பவர் ரஜினி. இந்தியாவைத் தாண்டி உலகம் எங்கும் அவருக்கு ரசிகர்கள் பல கோடி. ஆசிய அளவில் அதிக சம்பளம் வாங்கும் நடிகர் அவர்தான். ராணா படத்தின் மூலம் ஜாக்கி சானையே இந்த விஷயத்தில் பின்னுக்குத் தள்ளிவிட்டவர் ரஜினி.

எந்திரன் படம் அவரை உலக அளவில் பெரிய நட்சத்திரமாக மாற்றியது. இந்தப் படம் ரூ 450 கோடி வசூலித்தது. இந்தியாவில் மட்டும் ரூ 375 கோடி என்கிறது அதிகாரகப்பூர்வ கணக்கு.

வசூல், ரசிகர் பலம், அரசியல் செல்வாக்கு என சகல மட்டத்திலும் ரஜினி ஒரு செல்வாக்கு மிக்க விவிஐபியாகத் திகழ்கிறார்.

அவரது மக்கள் செல்வாக்கு என்னவென்பது, கடந்த இரு மாதங்களுக்கு முன்புதான் அனைவருக்கும் தெளிவாகத் தெரிந்தது.

ராணா தந்த சோதனை...

எந்திரனுக்குப் பின் ராணா என்ற புதிய படத்துக்கு பூஜை போட்டார் ரஜினி. இந்தப் படத்துக்கு பட்ஜெட் 120 கோடி ரூபாய். ரஜினியின் மகள் சௌந்தர்யாவும் ஈராஸ் இன்டர்நேஷனலும் இணைந்து தயாரிக்கும் இந்தப் படத்தில் மூன்று வேடங்களில் நடிக்கிறார் ரஜினி. தீபிகா படுகோன் ஜோடி. கேஎஸ் ரவிக்குமார் இயக்குகிறார்.

இந்தப் படத்தின் துவக்க விழாவன்றுதான் ரஜினிக்கு உடல்நிலை சரியில்லாமல் போனது. மூச்சுத் திணறல், செரிமானக் கோளாறு என்று ஆரம்பித்தது பிரச்சினை.

படப்பிடிப்புத் தளத்திலிருந்து உடனே வெளியேறிய ரஜினி, உடனடியாக சென்னை இசபெல்லா மருத்துமனையில் சேர்ந்தார். அன்று மாலையே அவர் டிஸ்சார்ஜ் ஆகி வீடு திரும்பினார். ஆனால் மீண்டும் அவருக்கு உடல்நிலை பாதிக்கப்பட, மீண்டும் அதே மருத்துவமனையில் சேர்க்கப்பட்டார். ஒரு வார சிகிச்சைக்குப் பின் காளிகாம்பாள் கோயிலுக்குப் போய் சிறப்பு பூஜையும் பெசன்ட் நகர் தேவாலயத்தில் சிறப்பு வழிபாடும் முடித்து வீட்டுக்கு வந்தார்.

ஆனால் மே 13-ம் தேதி அவரது உடல்நிலை மோசமடைந்தது. உடனடியாக அவர் சென்னை ராமச்சந்திரா மருத்துவமனைக்கு அழைத்துச் செல்லப்பட்டார். அங்கு அவருக்கு தீவிர சிகிச்சை அளிக்கப்பட்டது. முழு உடல் பரிசோதனை நடத்தி, பிரச்சினைகளைக் கண்டறிந்தனர்.

அவருக்கு சிறுநீரகக் கோளாறும், நுரையீரலில் நீர்க்கோர்ப்பும் இருப்பது தெரிய வந்தது. நுரையீரலில் இருந்த 1.5 லிட்டர் நீரை வெளியேற்றினர். ஆனாலும் சீராகவில்லை. எனவே உடனடியாக அவருக்கு டயாலிஸிஸ் செய்யப்பட்டது.

சென்னையில் மட்டும் தொடர்ந்து 5 முறை டயாலிஸிஸ் செய்யப்பட்ட பிறகு, அவர் ஓரளவு இயல்பு நிலைக்கு திரும்பினார். ஆனாலும், அவரது சிறுநீரகங்கள் இயங்கவில்லை.

எனவே சிங்கப்பூரில் உள்ள மவுன்ட் எலிசபெத் மருத்துவமனைக்கு கொண்டு செல்லப்பட்டார். உடன் சென்னையிலிருந்து சிறுநீரக ஸ்பெஷலிஸ்டுகளும் சென்றனர். மே 28-ம் தேதி அவர் சிங்கப்பூர் மருத்துவமனையில் சேர்க்கப்பட்டார். அங்கும் அவருக்கு மூன்று முறை டயாலிஸிஸ் செய்தனர். அதன் பிறகு இந்த பிரச்சினையின் மூல காரணத்தைக் கண்டுபிடித்துவிட்டனர் சிங்கப்பூர் மருத்துவர்கள்.

அதன் பிறகு, அந்த பிரச்சினைக்கு மட்டும் சிகிச்சை அளிக்க, படிப்படியாக அவரது உடல்நிலை சீரடையத் தொடங்கியது.

ரசிகர்கள் கண்ணீர் பிரார்த்தனை

இதற்கிடையே ரஜினியின் உடல்நிலை சீரடைய வேண்டி, உலகம் முழுவதும் உள்ள அவரது ரசிகர்கள் பிரார்த்தனையில் தீவிரமாக ஈடுபட்டனர்.

கோயில்களில் அன்னதானம், மண்சோறு சாப்பிடுதல், தீமிதித்தல், சர்வமத பிரார்த்தனைகள், உலகளாவிய கூட்டுப் பிரார்த்தனைகள், பாதயாத்திரை என அவரவருக்குத் தெரிந்த வழிகளில் பிரார்த்தனை நடத்தினர். இதுவரை கிட்டத்த 2 லட்சத்துக்கும் அதிகமான முறை பிரார்த்தனைகள் ரஜினிக்காக நடத்தப்பட்டன.

உலகில் எந்த அதிகாரத்திலும் இல்லாத ஒரு மனிதருக்கு இத்தனை பிரார்த்தனைகள் நடந்தது இதுவே முதல் முறை.

பூரண நலமடைந்தார்...

இன்னொரு பக்கம் சிங்கப்பூர் மருத்துவமனையில் ரஜினி பூரண நலமடைந்தார், கடந்த ஜூன் 14-ம் தேதியே அவர் டிஸ்சார்ஜ் ஆகிவிட்டார். ஆனாலும் தொடர்ந்து அவரது உடல்நிலையைக் கண்காணிக்க, சிங்கப்பூர் மருத்துவமனைக்கு அருகாமையில் உள்ள குடியிருப்பில் வாடகை வீட்டில் ஒரு மாத காலம் தங்கி மருத்துவ ஆலோசனை பெற்றார். பூரண ஓய்வெடுத்தார்.

சில தினங்களுக்கு முன் அவரை சோதித்த மருத்துவர்கள், இனி அவர் சென்னை திரும்பலாம். படங்களில் முன்புபோல நடிக்கலாம் என கிரீன் சிக்னல் கொடுத்தனர்.

இந்தத் தகவல் அவரது ரசிகர்களை துள்ள வைத்தது.

எப்போது அவர் சென்னை திரும்புவார் என காத்திருந்தனர் ரசிகர்கள். அவர் திரும்பும் தேதியை முன்கூட்டியே அறிவிக்க வேண்டும் என லதா ரஜினியிடம் நேரில் தெரிவித்தனர். அவரும் அதற்கு தனது ஒப்புதலைத் தெரிவித்தார்.

இப்போது ரஜினி சென்னை திரும்பும் தேதி ஜூலை 13 என உறுதியாக தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

பிரமாண்ட வரவேற்பு

இந்த செய்திக்காகவே காத்திருந்த அவரது ரசிகர்கள், சென்னையில் அவருக்கு பிரமாண்ட வரவேற்பளிக்க தயாராகி வருகின்றனர். சென்னை மன்ற நிர்வாகிகள் என் ராமதாஸ், சைதை ஜி ரவி போன்றவர்கள் கட் அவுட்கள், பேனர்களை தயார் செய்து வருகின்றனர்.

மீனம்பாக்கம் விமான நிலையத்திலிருந்து அவரது வீடு அமைந்துள்ள போயஸ் கார்டன் வரை வரவேற்புக்கு ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டு வருகிறது.

புதன்கிழமை இரவு விமானத்தில் அவர் சென்னை திரும்புகிறார். அவர் சென்னை திரும்பியதும் ராணா படப்பிடிப்பு துவங்கும் என எதிர்பார்கபடுகின்றது .

உறுதி செய்த நிர்வாகிகள்

ரஜினியின் வருகை குறித்து அவரது இல்லத்தில் தட்ஸ்தமிழ் நிருபர் தொடர்பு கொண்டு விசாரித்தார். அவர்கள் கூறுகையில், "ரசிகர்கள் அன்பினாலும் இறைவனின் ஆசியாலும் மருத்துவர்களின் பெரு முயற்சியாலும் தலைவர் ரஜினி நலமுடன் நாளை மறுநாள் சென்னை திரும்புகிறார்," என்றனர்.

இதுகுறித்து ரஜினியிடமிருந்து விரிவான அறிக்கை வரக்கூடும் என்று தெரிகிறது.

மருத்துவமனை அருகிலேயே இருக்குற ஏரியாவில் ஒரு நல்ல அபார்ட்மென்ட்டில் லதா மேடம் குடும்பத்தோடு தங்கியிருந்தாங்க. சிங்கப்பூர்ல என்னோட நட்பு வட்டம் பெருசு. அவங்ககிட்டலாம் ரகசியம் காப்பாத்தறதுக்கு நான் ரொம்பப் பாடுபட்டேன். நிறையப் பேர் என்கிட்ட பேசுறதைக்கூட நிறுத்திட்டாங்க.

ரெண்டு வாரம் கழிச்சே வீல்சேர் உதவி இல்லாம பளிச்சுனு ஷேவ் பண்ணிட்டு ஆஸ்பத்திரிக்குள்ள வாக்கிங் போக ஆரம்பிச்சுட்டார். புரவலன் அடுத்து 'பீஷ்மர்’னு ஒரு படத்துல நடிக்கப் போறதைப்பத்தி அப்பாகிட்ட சொன்னார். உடனே, ஆர்வமாகி அப்பா ஏகப்பட்ட மகாபாரதக் கதைகள் சொல்ல ஆரம்பிச்சுட்டார். மகாபாரதத்துல ரஜினிக்குப் பிடிச்ச கேரக்டர் பீஷ்மர்தானாம்.

திடீர்னு இட்லி சாம்பார், மசால் வடை வேணும்னு பச்சக் குழந்தை மாதிரி அடம் பிடிப்பார் ரஜினி சார். நடு ராத்திரியா இருந்தாலும் தேடி ஓடிப் போய் வாங்கிட்டு வருவார் புரவலன். ஜூன் 15-ம் தேதி ஆஸ்பத்திரியில் இருந்து அபார்ட்மென்ட்டுக்கு வந்துட்டார் அப்பா. அவரோட பாதுகாப்புக்காக பிரமாண்டமான நாலு பாடிகார்டு ஏற்பாடு செஞ்சிருந்தோம். அவங்களைப் பார்த்ததுமே கோபம் வந்துருச்சு ரஜினி சாருக்கு. 'இங்கே நான் ஒரு சராசரி மனுஷன். என்னை அப்படி ஜாலியா இருக்க விடுங்க’னு ஸ்ட்ரிக்ட்டா சொல்லிட்டார். தினமும் அதிகாலை அஞ்சரை மணிக்கு எழுந்து யோகா செய்வார். அபார்ட்மென்ட் நீச்சல் குளத்தில் ரொம்ப நேரம் நீச்சலடிப்பார். அவருக்கே தெரியாம அவர் எங்கே இருக்கார், என்ன பண்ணிட்டு இருக்கார்னு கண்காணிக்கிறதுக்கு நாங்க ரகசியமா ஒரு செக்யூரிட்டியை நியமிச்சு இருந்தோம். சாயங்காலம் ஆனதும் புரவலன்கூட கார்ல சிங்கப்பூரைச் சுத்துவார். 'நானும் கமலும் 'நினைத்தாலே இனிக்கும் படத்தில் நடிக்க சிங்கப்பூர் வந்தப்போ, இங்கேலாம் விடிய விடிய சுத்திட்டு இருந்தோம். இப்போ அந்த இடங்கள் அப்படியே மாறிப்போச்சே’னு ஆச்சர்யப்படுவார்.

அவர் சிங்கப்பூர்ல இருந்து சென்னை திரும்புற வரை ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் எனக்கு திக்திக்னுதான் இருந்தது. இப்பதான் கொஞ்சம் சந்தோஷமா இருக்கேன். இப்போ ஐஸ்வர்யா, சௌந்தர்யா மாதிரி நானும் எப்ப வேணும்னாலும் அப்பா வீட்டுக்கு உரிமையா வந்து போகலாம்னு லதா மேடம் சொல்லி இருக்காங்க. இனி அடிக்கடி நான் அப்பாவைப் போய் பார்த்துக்குவேன்!''

In an email sent to India Against Corruption on Tuesday, the Tamil superstar said he was happy that an able and dedicated leader like Anna Hazare is leading the fight against corruption.

"There can be no doubt that corruption is a dreaded disease that needs to be weeded from the Indian society. I am very happy that we have an able and dedicated leader in Anna Hazare to lead us in the fight against corruption. நோயின் பிடியிலிருந்து விடுபட்டு விட்டாலும் அது பிடித்த பிடியின் தடம் ஆங்காங்கே பதிந்திருக்கிறது உடம்பில். ஆனால், மேகம் விலகிய இடுக்கில் சூரியன் சுடர்வி டுவது மாதிரி ஜொலிக்கின்றன அவர் கண்கள்.

‘‘நீண்ட நாட்களுக்குப்பிறகு இப்போதுதான் நிம்மதியாக உறங்குகிறேன்.’’

‘‘சர்க்கரை, கொழுப்பு, உப்பு, கிரியாட்டின்?’’

‘‘எல்லாமே கட்டுப்பாட்டில் இருக்கின்றன.’’

தேநீர் வந்தது எனக்கு; மருந்தும் மாத்திரையும் வந்தன ரஜினிக்கு. விருந்தினர்கள் உரையாடும்போது ஒரு பணியாளர் பாதம் எடுத்து வைக்கும் ஓசையும் பாத்திரம் எடுத்து வைக்கும் ஓசையும் இல்லாமல் பரிமாறும் கலாசாரம் எத்தனை வீடுகளில் இருக்கிறது? ரஜினி வீட்டில் இருக்கிறது.

‘‘ராணா படத்தின் கதை விவாதத்தில் இந்த வாரம் கலந்து கொண்டீர்களாமே? ரவிகுமார் சொன்னார்.’’

‘‘ஆமா: சில மாறுதல்களோடு படப்பிடிப்பைத் தொடங்கவேண்டியிருக்கிறது.’’

‘‘சில மாதங்கள் கழிந்தாலும் பரவாயில்லை. முழு பலம் பெற்று உங்கள் உடலே உங்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிடும்போது களத்துக்கு வாருங்கள். நீங்கள் தொடாத உயரமில்லை; அடையாத வெற்றியில்லை; சேர்க்காத செல்வமில்லை. இனி உடல்நலம்தான் முக்கியம்.’’

வாய்விட்டுச் சிரித்தார் ரஜினி. பழைய சிரிப்பு; பளிச்சென்ற சிரிப்பு; தங்கச் சில்லறை அள்ளிப் பளிங்குத் தரையில் எறிவது மாதிரி கலகலவென்ற சிரிப்பு.

‘‘அது எப்படி பாலசந்தர் சாரும் சோ சாரும் நீங்களும் கூடிப் பேசியதைப் போல் ஒரே கருத்தைச் சொல்கிறீர்கள்?’’

‘‘அன்புக்கு வாய்கள்தான் வேறு வேறு; வார்த்தைகள் ஒன்று.’’

மீண்டும் சின்னதாய்ச் சிரித்தார்; நான் சொன்னதை ரசித்தார்; அப்படியே என் படைப்புக்குத் தாவினார்.

‘‘உங்க ‘மூன்றாம் உலகப் போர்’ பிரமாதம். எப்படி எழுதறீங்க? உட்கார்ந்தா அப்படியே வந்துடுமா?’’

‘‘இல்லை; இல்லை. அது அவ்வளவு சுலபமில்லை. வாழ்வில் பழுத்த சில விஷயங்கள் நெஞ்சில் ஊறப்போட வேண்டும் சில வருஷங்களுக்கு. அதே நினைப்பு; அதுவே மூச்சு; ஒரே சிந்தனை என்று உடம்பையும் மனசையும் ஒன்று குவிக்கவேண்டும். அதில் அறிவு எது, உணர்ச்சி எது என்று தெரியாத மாதிரி அத்வைதம் ஆகவேண்டும். ஒரே ஒரு அத்தியாயம் எழுத சில வாரங்கள் கூட எடுத்துக்கொள்கிறேன்.’’

‘‘நீங்களே கைப்பட எழுதுவீர்களா?’’

‘‘இல்லை; ஓசையோடு சொல்லுவேன். உதவியாளர் எழுதுவார். நேற்று எழுதியதைச் சொல்லுகிறேன். அதில், ‘இஷிமுரா’ என்ற ஒரு ஜப்பானியப் பாத்திரத்தை இந்தியாவுக்கு அழைத்து வருகிறேன்.’’

அந்த கூர்த்த மதியும் ரசனையும்தான் அவரை எப்போதும் இளமையாக வைத்திருக்கின்றன.

‘‘எழுதி முடித்துத் தூங்கச் சென்ற நள்ளிரவில் எழுந்து அரசியல்வாதிகள் என்ற சொல்லுக்குப் பக்கத்தில் ‘சில’ என்ற துணைச் சொல்லைச் சேர்த்தேன்’’ என்றேன்.

‘ஓ’ என்று விழியுயர்த்தி ‘சரி’ என்று தலையாட்டினார்.

‘‘ஒவ்வொரு தீமையிலும் ஒரு நன்மை நேரும்; இந்த நோயினால் நீங்கள் அடைந்த நன்மையென்ன?’’

‘‘மனைவி மக்களின் அன்பை அனுபவித்தேன். ரசிகர்கள் என் மீது வைத்திருக்கும் பேரன்பின் பெருக்கத்தை அறிந்துகொண்டேன். இதுவரைக்கும் வாழ்ந்த வாழ்வை மறுபரிசீலனை செய்கிறேன்.’’

மது – புகை இரண்டிலிருந்தும் அவர் முற்றிலுமாக விடுபட்டுவிட்டார். ரசிகக் கண்மணிகளே! மதுவையும் புகையையும் தொடாதவர்கள் தொடாதீர்கள்; தொட்டவர்கள் விட் டுவிடுங்கள்.

இந்நாள் முதலமைச்சர், அவரிடம் பாசத்தோடு பேசிய பரிவைப் பகிர்ந்துகொண்டார். அந்த உரையாடல் பத்திரிகையில் மறுநாள் பதிவான பிறகு முன்னாள் முதலமைச்சரோடு ரஜினி பேசியிருக்கிறார். பத்திரிகையில் வந்த உரையாடலைக் கண்டுகொள்ளாமல் கண்ணியம் காத்து அன்பு காட்டிய கலைஞரின் நாகரிகத்தைப் புகழ்ந்து சொன்னார்.

90 நிமிடங்களுக்கு மேல் பேசியிருப்போம். விடைகொண்ட போது படியிறங்கி என்னோடு பயணித்து கார்க் கதவு வரை வந்து கைகூப்பினார்.
மீண்டும் அவர் முகம் பார்த்தேன்.

முதுமை எனக்கு வாராது’’

- என்ற வரிகள் என் நெஞ்சில் வந்து போயின. நிமிர்ந்து நின்ற ரஜினியிடம் பழைய கம்பீரம் பார்த்தேன்.

Shah Rukh Khan's most awaited film of the year, RA.One will pay a tribute to southern superstar Rajinikanth, whose Endhiran, a 2010 Tamil science-fiction film, broke many box office records.

Reports of similarities between Endhiran and RA.One have been surfacing since SRK's film went on the floors but the Bollywood actor claims that his release is different.

"They (Endhiran and RA.One) are different films. I will not like to talk about anyone else's film but Rajni sir is respectable to all of us. Actually, we have a tribute to Rajni sir in our film. We love him," Shah Rukh told reporters here last night.

RA.One, a sci-fi superhero film directed by Anubhav Sinha, stars Shahrukh, Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal in lead roles with Shahana Goswami, Dilip Tahil and Chinese-American actor Tom Wu in supporting roles.

Endhiran directed by S Shankar featured Rajinikanth in dual roles - as a scientist and an android robot - alongside Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Shah Rukh said his film is indigenous and made in India.

"Everything you have seen is produced here... we are proud of it and have done a great job. We have taken the technology forward and we should be proud of it," he said.

Besides, RA.One will also be dubbed in Tamil and Telugu for the southern audience.

"Dubbing for Tamil and Telugu is going on simultaneously. Also, we intend to dub the film in German and some other languages," he said.

RA.One is all set to release on October 26.

Rajinikanth to do cameo in Ra.One

Here comes the biggest casting coup of all times, the 'God of South Indian Cinema' Rajinikanth will be sharing screen space with none other than the 'Baadshah of Bollywood' Shah Rukh Khan in Ra.One. SRK had earlier mentioned that the film pays a tribute Rajinikanth, but now Rajini will play cameo in the film.

Superstar Rajinikanth's fans who have been praying consistently for his recovery won't have to wait too long to see him on big screen as Ra.One releases this Diwali on October 26. His last release was last years blockbuster hit Robot.

Rajinikanth will be facing the camera for the first time after his bout of illness. He will start shooting for Ra.One on October 4th in Hyderabad at the Ramoji Film City.

The scene he will shoot for has been dedicated to him. Elaborating on the scene, a source said, SRK who is seen fighting a gang of villains faces another threat from a gang armed with deadly weapons. At this critical point, Rajini makes an entry in trademark 'Rajini Style' in a car. The super powered vehicle immediately sucks up all the weapons from the villains prompting SRK to ask Kareena Kapoor, who that man in the car was. That's when Rajinikanth steps out and delivers a super- hit dialogue from the film Bhasha.

He will resume full fledged shooting from November.

Apart from Rajinikanth, Sanjay Dutt and Priyanka Chopra have also made guest appearances in the film. While Rajini plays a helping aid to G.One (SRK), Sanjay and PC are with his enemy Ra.One played by Arjun Rampal.

When it comes to fan frenzy and mass following, the name of superstar Rajinikanth stands first in the entire nation. He is no less than a demigod to the Tamil Thambis and unusually, he also has fans in countries like Japan and China. However, all this fame seems to have gone unnoticed in the west.
Lately, there are many who feel that Rajinikanth has been insulted in London. They are referring to the famous Madame Tussauds museum which is housing the wax statues of many international celebrities. While Bollywood stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya, Shahrukh Khan etc are there, not one actor from south is present.As such, Tussauds has its maximum revenue from Indian tourists but westerners do not realize that south Indians also come in good numbers. Few groups in the UK have teamed up with Rajini fans association. They are now making special efforts to highlight about Rajini mania and try to convince the Museum organizers to get a wax model done for the superstar as well.

Biopic on Rajinikanth

Actor Salman Khan, who has gained much popularity down South owing to the action roles and being a part of South remakes, seems to have got into the bad books of Rajinikanth and family.
It all started with Atul Agnihotri, Salman Khan's brother-in-law going public about his intentions to make a biopic on Rajinikanth. There were also talks that Salman would play Rajini in the biopic. This hasn't gone down too well with Soundarya Rajinikanth, daughter of Rajni, who is a filmmaker in her own right.
While she has tried to contact Atul several times to discuss the matter, she claims that she hasn't got any response from the filmmaker, who now claims that Salman Khan was never being considered to play Rajni.
Soundarya also maintained that a biopic on her father was not an affair to be taken lightly and that talks with the family were extremely essential if anything was being done about it.
This apart, there are talks that political party HMK will not allow Sallu entry into Tamil Nadu, even if he is being invited there as a special guest of the Tamil remake of Dabangg, Osthe. We thought it was an expression of ire for his bro-in-law's wish to make a biopic on the legendary Rajinikanth. However, this protest is for Salman Khan's visits to Sri Lanka when there were strained relationships between the Sri Lankans and Tamilians.
So, the Khan family needs very much to come out and speak up before things go awry in these not so pleasant circumstances.

One of my frnd harcore Rajini fan reacted the same way after we watched FDFS at 4 AM in Punjai Puliyambatti. Adutha show la irunthae padam blockbuster nu declare pannitaanga :)

The shoot was said to be over in less than three hours, so that he undergoes minimum strain.

The buzz is that his facial shots would be imposed digitally to a scene. These scenes will later be digitally transferred onto scenes in the film, against a backdrop of other characters and ambience.
