சாய்மீரா... 'மர்மயோகி'

பல கோடிகள் சுருட்டப்பட்டதா?

ஒரே நேரத்தில் 10 படங்களுக்குப் பூஜை,

கமல்ஹாசனின் 'மர்மயோகி’க்கு அட்வான்ஸ் தொகையாக மட்டும் 14 கோடி... இப்படி தமிழ்த் திரையுலகில் மிகப்பெரிய சாதனை செய்தது பிரமிட் சாய்மீரா நிறுவனம். பட பூஜையின்போது அதன் நிர்வாக இயக்குநர் சாமிநாதன், ''இந்த நிறுவனத்தில் பணம் கொட்டிக்கிடக்கிறது. செலவு செய்யத்தான் வழியில்லாமல் தவிக்கிறோம்!'' என்றார். ஆனால், அடுத்த சில மாதங்களிலேயே நஷ்டக் கணக்குக் காட்டி அந்த நிறுவனம் மூடப்பட்டது. இதில் பணியாற்றிய 400-க்கும் மேற்பட்ட ஊழியர்களுக்குக்கூட சம்பளம் கொடுக்கவில்லை. இந்நிறுவனத்தில் பொதுமக்கள் முதலீடு செய்த பணம் கிட்டத்தட்ட 1,000 கோடிகள், சப்தம் இல்லாமல் எங்கே போனதோ தெரியவில்லை. அது பற்றி யாருக்கும் கவலை இல்லை!
பிரமிட் சாய்மீரா தியேட்டர் லிமிடெட் குரூப் ஊழியர்கள் நல சங்கத் தலைவர் நரசிம்மன், பொதுச் செயலாளர் முத்துமாணிக்கம், சட்ட ஆலோசகர் பழனிவேல் ஆகியோரைச் சந்தித்தோம். '' 'சங்கமம்,’ 'மிஸ்டர் ரோமியோ’ படங்களைத் தயாரித்த பிரபல திரைப்படத் தயாரிப்பாளர் நடராஜனின் பிரமிட் பிலிம்ஸ் இன்டர்நேஷனல் நிறுவனமும், சென்னை மடிப்பாக்கத்தில் கேபிள் டி.வி. நடத்திவந்த சாமிநாதன் என்பவரின் சாய்மீரா நிறுவனமும் இணைந்து 2004-ம் ஆண்டு, 'பிரமீட் சாய்மீரா தியேட்டர் லிமிடெட்’ என்ற நிறுவனத்தை உருவாக்கியது. இந்த நிறுவனம் இந்தியா, மலேசியா, சிங்கப்பூர், அமெரிக்கா, சீனா, இங்கிலாந்தில் தனது தொழிலை நடத்தியது. சினிமா தியேட்டர்களைக் குத்தகைக்கு எடுப்பது, சினிமா தயாரிப்பு, கண்காட்சி நடத்துவது, தியேட்டரில் கேன்டீன், விளம்பரப் பணிகளை மேற்கொள்வது போன்ற வேலைகளை இந்த நிறுவனம் செய்தது.

'தொழிலை விரிவுபடுத்த பங்குச் சந்தையில் நிதி திரட்டப் போகிறேன்...’ என்று 2007-ம் ஆண்டு, பங்குச் சந்தையில் நுழைந்தனர். 100 கோடிகள் அளவுக்கு நிதி திரட்ட இலக்கு நிர்ணயிக்கப்பட்டது. ஆனால், பொதுமக்களிடம் இருந்து 2,000 கோடிகள் அளவுக்கு விண்ணப்பங்கள் குவிந்தன. பங்குச் சந்தை மூலம் 100 கோடிகள், வெளிநாட்டு முதலீடாக 400 கோடிகள், பஞ்சாப் நேஷனல் வங்கி உள்ளிட்ட பல வங்கிகளில் இருந்து 520 கோடிகள் என்று மொத்தம் 1,020 கோடிகளுக்கும் மேல் கடன் பெற்று தொழிலை விரிவுபடுத்தினர். இல்லாதததை எல்லாம் இருப்பதுபோல காட்டித்தான் இந்தப் பணத்தை, இவர்கள் பெற்றனர் என்பது எங்கள் குற்றச்சாட்டு.

பணம் வாங்கியதும் இவர்களின் போக்கு மாறிவிட்டது, இந்தியாவின் பல பகுதிகளிலும், அயல்நாட்டிலும் முதலீடு செய்துள்ளதாகக் கூறினார்கள். 2008-09-ம் ஆண்டில், இந்த நிறுவனத்தின் விற்பனை வருவாய் 1,200 கோடி என்று கணக்குக் காட்டினர். ரஜினி நடித்த 'குசேலன்’ படத்தின் விநியோக உரிமையை சுமார் 60 கோடிக்கு வாங்கினார்கள். ஆனால், அந்தப் படம் சுமாராகப் போனதால், 30 கோடிகளே வருவாயாக வந்தன. விளம்பரதாரர்கள் மூலம் சில கோடிகள் கிடைத்தன. ரஜினியும், படத் தயாரிப்பாளரும் சில கோடிகளைத் திரும்பக் கொடுத்தனர். இதனால், பிரமிட் சாய்மீராவுக்கு நஷ்டம் ஒரு சில கோடிகள்தான்... ஆனால், 'குசேலன்’ படத்தால் நிறுவனமே நொடிந்துவிட்டதுபோல ஊரை ஏமாற்றிக் கடைசியில் நிறுவனத்தையே மூடிவிட்டனர்.

இவர்கள் முதலீடு செய்த நிறுவனங்கள், வாங்கிய நிறுவனங்கள் எல்லாம் 2008-ம் ஆண்டிலேயே காணாமல் போய்விட்டன. இவர்கள் முதலீடு செய்த நிறுவனங்களின் சிலவற்றில் சாமிநாதனின் மனைவி இயக்குநராக இருந்திருக்கிறார். அமெரிக்காவில் ஒரு நிறுவனத்தை பல கோடி கொடுத்து வாங்கினார்கள். கடைசியில் அதில் நஷ்டம் என்று வாங்கியவரிடமே திரும்பக் கொடுத்துவிட்டார்கள். இப்போது இந்தத் தொகை எல்லாம் எங்கே போனது என்று தெரியவில்லை. இந்த நிறுவனத்தில் வேலை பார்த்த 400 ஊழியர்களுக்கு சம்பள பாக்கி மட்டுமே 4.5 கோடி. இதுதவிர எங்கள் பி.எஃப். பணத்தைச் செலுத்தாமல் 2.5 கோடி மோசடி செய்துள்ளனர்.

'பங்குச் சந்தையில் திரட்டப்பட்ட 800 கோடியில் ஒரு ரூபாய்கூட லாபம் இல்லை’ என்று சொல்லி மொத்தத்தையும் இந்தக் கும்பல் சுருட்டிவிட்டது. இவர்கள் மோசடி செய்தது கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டு, 'பங்குச் சந்தைக்குள் நுழையக்கூடாது’ என்று செபி அமைப்பு சாமிநாதனுக்கும், அவரது மனைவிக்கும் தடைபோட்டுள்ளது. கம்பெனியின் இயக்குநர்களாகப் பணியாற்றிய சிலர் பணியில் இருந்த காலத்தில், புதிதுபுதிதாக சொத்துகளை வாங்கிக் குவித்துள்ளனர். வெளிநாட்டில் இருந்து வரவேண்டிய சில கோடிகளை ஹவாலா முறையில் பெற்றுக்கொண்டார்கள் என்பது எங்கள் சந்தேகம். அதை, இயக்குநர் கூட்டத்தில் வாராக் கடனாக தள்ளுபடி செய்யப்படுவதாக சொல்லித் தீர்மானம் நிறைவேற்றி இருக்கிறார்கள். இதுபற்றி சி.பி.ஐ. விசாரணைக்கு உத்தரவிட்டு, இவர்கள் மீது நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க வேண்டும்.

இதற்கிடையே சாமிநாதனும், மோசடியில் உடந்தையாக இருந்த பிரபல சமூகத் தலைவர் ஒருவரும் சேர்ந்து பினாமி ஒருவரின் பெயரால் மீண்டும் வேறு பெயரில் நிறுவனம் தொடங்கி, பங்குச் சந்தையில் இறங்கி மக்களிடம் இருந்து பணம் திரட்டுவதற்கான வேலையில் இருக்கிறார்கள். இதைத் தடுத்தால்தான் மக்கள் பணம் மேற்கொண்டும் கொள்ளை போகாமல் தடுக்க முடியும்!'' என்று படபடத்தனர்.

சாமிநாதனின் கருத்தை அறிய பல முறை தொடர்புகொண்டோம். ஆனால், முடியவில்லை. பணம் மறைந்துபோன மர்மங்களுக்கு விளக்கம் தருவாரா சாமிநாதன்? அவர் விளக்கத்தை வாசகர்களிடம் கொண்டுசெல்ல நாம் தயாராக இருக்கிறோம்!

I agree that this award does not mean anything and NDTV was desperate to win some audience in SI but, Aamir Khan makes films to a wide audience. Bolly films are national events and even in the international arena bolly films >>> tamil films. Given all that, Robot beating the Aamir's 3I is unbelievable and deserves awards. Even the BOSS was a huge blockbuster.

In my opinion, its not just the film release and its sucess that counts ... its the popularity (craze) of a person in that specific field. Rajini sir is far ahead than Amir or anyone in the Indian Film Industry. And the award is selected not by a (NDTV) panel, but by the common people thru internet + magazine. Its like a opinion Poll.

Reason for my post - Their original business goals when they started the company were entirely different. Had they succeded in that, they would have done really well. But, when they vechified agala kaal, my premonitions came true.

Japan recently been a target to natural calamities sacrificed hundreds of lives in the recent earthquake that shook not only the country but also the lives of people living in it. The Tsunami that ensued washed away with whatever was left and rendered thousands homeless.

Chennai expressed its support to the people of Japan organizing a condolence meet which was held at Mandapam Hall, Chola Sheraton after sun down yesterday. The members present included the Superstar Rajinikanth as well as the who’s who of Chennai city.

ராணாவுக்குப் பிறகு சன் பிக்ஸர்ஸ் தயாரிப்பில் ரஜினி நடிக்க எந்திரன் படத்தின் இரண்டாம் பாகம் இன்னும் பிரமாண்டமாகத் தயாராகிறது. இந்தத் தகவலை படத்தின் ஒளிப்பதிவாளரான ரத்னவேலு தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

உலக அளவில் பெரும் வசூலைக் குவித்த இந்தியப்படம் என்ற பெருமையைப் பெற்றது ரஜினியின் எந்திரன்.

இந்தப் படம் இந்தியாவில் மட்டும் ரூ 400 கோடிகளைக் குவித்தது. அடுத்து கே எஸ் ரவிக்குமார் இயக்கத்தில் ராணாவில் நடிக்க தயாராகி வருகிறார் ரஜினி.

இந்தப் படத்தில் அமிதாப் பச்சன், ஹேமமாலினி, தீபிகா படுகோன் என பெரும் நட்சத்திரப் பட்டாளமே நடிக்கிறது. ஏப்ரல் மாதல் தொடங்கி, தொடர்ந்து ஓராண்டுள் இந்தப் படப்பிடிப்பு நடக்கிறது.

இந்த நிலையில், ராணா முடிந்தபிறகு, ரஜினி - சன் பிக்ஸர்ஸ் மீண்டும் இணைவதாக ஒளிப்பதிவாளர் ரத்னவேலு கூறியுள்ளார்.

March 19 is an important day in Superstar Rajinikanth’s calendar. For it was on this day more than three decades ago Shivaji Rao Gaekwad, an aspiring actor, was renamed as Rajinikanth by mentor and ace director K Balachander.

In other words, the numero uno actor almost considers March 19 as his birthday and this year, his family members, especially wife Latha, decided to celebrate the 36th birthday of Rajinikanth in a grand manner.

ரஜினி, மகள், மருமகன் என்று எல்லோரும் பறிமாறினார்கள். ரஜினியின் உபசரிப்பும் எளிமையோடு எந்தவித பந்தாவும் இல்லாத நடவடிக்கையும் வந்திருந்த அனைவரையும் வியப்பில் ஆழ்த்தியது.

விருந்து முடிந்ததும் எல்லோருக்கும் நன்றிகளைத் தெரிவித்து கிஃப்ட் பேக் ஒன்றையும் ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் கொடுத்தார்கள். அதில் ஜரிகை வேஷ்டி, குர்தா, எவர்சில்வர் போகி வெற்றிலை சீவல், மஞ்சள் என்று
மங்களகரமாய் இருந்தது.

வந்திருந்த வி.ஐ.பி.க்களின் கார் டிரைவர்களையும் அமர வைத்து ரஜினி சாப்பிட வைத்ததோடு மட்டுமின்றி அவர்கள் ஒவ்வொருவரிடமும் ‘நல்லா சாப்பிடுங்க... இன்னும் என்ன வேணும்? என்ன வேணும்...’’ என்று உபசரித்தார். டிரைவர்கள் அனைவரும் திக்குமுக்காடிப் போய் ரஜினியை மனதார வாழ்த்தினார்கள்.

எல்லோரும் கிளம்புவதற்கு முன் ‘‘உங்க எல்லார் கூடவும் சேர்ந்து குடும்பத்தோட புகைப்படம் எடுக்க விருப்பப்படுகிறேன்’’ என்று ஆசையோடு கூறிய ரஜினி அப்படி எடுக்கப்பட்ட புகைப்படங்களின் ஒவ்வொரு காப்பியிலும் தன் கையெழுத்தைப்போட்டு அவர்களின் வீட்டிற்கு அனுப்பி வைத்தார்..

It was Wankhade Stadium all the way for Super Star Rajinikanth. The numero uno actor of the country was seen waving national tri-colour and cheering India against the mighty Lankans in the finals off the World Cup today.

Rajinijkanth along with his wife Latha Rajnikanth left Chennai airport this morning and reached Wankhade Stadium. He was dressed in Men in Blue t-shirt and seated in VIP Enclosure along with Mumbai Co-Owners Tina Ambani. There was smile in Rajinikanth's face everywhere Indians picked up a wicket. He was applauding and cheering all through.

Take 2 for Rajni in politics

Superstar Rajnikanth may take a full-fledged plunge into politics two years after wrapping up what could be his last blockbuster. At least, that is what he appears to have told BJP president Nitin Gadkari. Gadkari was invited to Rajni's home here on Friday evening as a follow-up on the BJP chief's rescue act when the actor and his family were about to be mobbed at the Wankhede stadium after the World Cup final in Mumbai on April 2.

The superstar was not impressed by the choices before the people of Tamil Nadu. He expects people to seek a third alternative in the years to come and he might not let them down then.

Hitherto, Rajni has always kept his cards close to the chest.

But, with candidates, such as Tamil Nadu chief minister M Karunanidhi's son Stalin, seeking his blessings, Rajni told his new-found friend and fellow Maharashtrian: "I will enter politics after my last film is over. That should be in two years."

On the World Cup final day, Rajni, his wife, Latha, and daughter Soundarya were seen sitting next to actor Aamir Khan and his wife, Kiran Rao.

But after the match was over, fans surrounded them, as they could not find either security men or his car.

It was then that Gadkari, who had gone to watch the match, came to Rajni's rescue.

He asked them to hop onto his vehicle and drove off quickly to his Worli home. Later, the actor was dropped at his hotel.

So, when Gadkari was in Rajni's city, they had him over.

As their discussion veered around politics, Rajni appeared to be taken in by the anti-corruption mood in the country, amplified by fasting by another Maharashtrian, Anna Hazare, on the Lokpal Bill.

Rajni told Gadkari he was bothered about issues like poverty, corruption, water scarcity and environment, which were assuming alarming proportions and "definitely wanted to do something" about them.

Gadkari invited him to see his social welfare and bio-fuel projects in Nagpur.

Gadkari got the impression from his chitchat with Rajni that he eventually wanted to start his own party rather than hinging on to a national party - as he felt that the mood of regionalism was still strong in Tamil Nadu, BJP sources said.

In 1996, his call against the AIADMK leader Jayalalithaa's "corrupt government" swung the popular mood in favour of the DMK-Tamil Maanila Congress alliance.

Since then, the actor has been silent on politics.

As he took leave, Rajni handed him a CD of Enthiran, which tasted unprecedented box-office hit.

In my opinion,if he really wishes to enter in politics, he would have made his foray a long time ago.Now he is saying "Aandavan kai'la irukku" only to keep his fans calm and probably he would have crossed 65 during next elections and practically no one will take such a big risk at that age...

Forbes is a New York City magazine which is been published biweekly and the magazine is reputed all round the world for publishing the list of rich people and billionaires. The magazine is available in India as Forbes India and the magazine selects the ‘person of the year’ based on various parameters.
Forbes India has selected tamil actor Rajinikanth as the "person of the year" and has drawn a special article about him in the title “Rajinikanth: Who Really Is the Super Star?” in which the article tries to explain why the actor was selected as the real superstar.

“Two decades after he opted out of an indifferent run in Hindi films, Rajinikanth conquered Bollywood in his own way in 2010. The Robot set the box office on fire, reaffirming his super star status” writes Forbes India. The magazine also revealed that the Endhiran is the highest grossing film of all time in India.

"Munnabhai MBBS", "Lage Raho Munnabhai", and "3 Idiots" movies were on top and after the release of Endhiran, the movies pushed down. Not only Forbes India declared Rajini as the real person of the year but the hearts of many in India consider Rajinikanth as the real superstar.

Superstar Rajinikanth's celebrity status makes all his actions look
larger than life. Thanks to saturated media coverage, everything he
does comes under the scanner.

On Tamil Nadu election day the superstar was mobbed by photographers
at the Stella Maris College polling booth, where he had gone to cast
his vote. Some "scoop crazy" television channels caught the actor
"pushing the two-leaf symbol in the EVM button".

However, the channels had to take off the visual after EC warned them,
that "it is a poll violation and telecasting such a visual is a crime.
Both the videographer and broadcaster will be punished".

Rajinikanth later clarified that when the television cameramen had
insisted that he does "a retake of him pressing the EVM buttons, and
accidentally his hands strayed to the two-leaves symbol."

Later in the evening Rajinikanth watched Ponnar Shankar at a special
screening of the film along with Chief Minister Karunanidhi and other
dignitaries at Prasad Lab preview theatre.

Even as repolling is on at eight places in Tamil Nadu today, Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Kumar on Friday replied to a question as to whether repolling would be ordered at the booth where Superstar Rajinikanth cast his vote.

The top actor was reportedly shown by some television channels, casting his vote in favour of a political party. This, according to legal experts, violated the secrecy of voting.

When reporters asked Praveen Kumar whether repolling would be ordered at the Stella Maris College booth where Rajini performed his democratic duty, the CEO said he had collected information, which had been sent to the Election Commission of India.

“We have seen the visuals of Rajinikanth’s voting at Stella Maris College. But it was not visible to which party he voted. However, we have sent the visuals to the ECI for scrutiny,” he said.

Buzz has it that South star Rajinikanth will soon make a public appearance for social activist Anna Hazare, and urge his fans to join him in his fight against corruption. The actor had earlier pledged his support for Anna when he came out to vote in Chennai on April 13, and indicated that he is throwing his weight behind Anna.

“I will ...join Anna Hazare in his fight against corruption, which is a major issue in the country now. We should tackle it in a big way,” he’s reported to have said.

According to sources, Rajinikanth extended an invitation to host Anna in Chennai, and join him on a common platform to address the youth. “Rajinikanth wants to share the platform with Anna and work towards a corruption free government. Rajni Sir wants his image to be free of any political clout, and this is an opportunity to give out a signal that he’s not associated with any political party. Rajinikanth had also indicated his disillusionment with the political system when he had come out to vote. Unfortunately, the TV channel that was covering Rajini at the voting booth also made public the button he pressed on the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) that day," said sources.

Though it could not be confirmed whether Anna and Rajni had a dialogue, it is known that the superstar has wished for a meeting to be set up with the activist.

சென்னை, மே 4: உடல் நலக் குறைவு காரணமாக ஓய்வெடுத்துவந்த நடிகர் ரஜினிகாந்த் புதன்கிழமை இரவு மீண்டும் மருத்துவமனையில் அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டார்.

சென்னை மயிலாப்பூரில் உள்ள தனியார் மருத்துவமனையில் புதன்கிழமை இரவு சுமார் 30 நிமிடங்கள் அவருக்கு மருத்துவப் பரிசோதனை நடத்தப்பட்டது. அதன்பிறகு, உடல் நலம் கருதி 2 நாள்கள் மருத்துவமனையில் தங்கியிருக்குமாறு மருத்துவர்கள் அவரை அறிவுறுத்தியுள்ளனர்.

ரஜினிகாந்த், தீபிகா படுகோனே நடிக்கும் "ராணா' திரைப்படத்தின் படப்பிடிப்பு கடந்த வாரம் தொடங்கியது. அப்போது உடலில் நீர்ச்சத்து குறைந்ததால் ரஜினிகாந்துக்கு மூச்சுத் திணறல் ஏற்பட்டது.

Yesterday night they had flashed something like moochu thinaral,blah blah....

But I only hope nothing will be serious for him.I dont think they would have admitted in ICU for a normal viral fever for 2 times within a week.Even in one of his interview after Enthiran,he said he doesn't has BP or Sugar or anything but I wonder what has happened within this short span of time after that.Whatever may be the thing,Hope he would recuperate soon and be back with a bang...

டிவி ஏசியா தொலைக்காட்சியில் இன்று ராணா பற்றிய சிறு முன்னோட்டத்தை அளித்தார்கள். ரஜினியை அறிமுகப் படுத்தி பேசும்போது எந்திரன் 350 கோடி வசூல் சாதனை செய்து த்ரி இடியட்ஸ்ஸின் 450 கோடி வசூல் சாதனைக்கு அடுத்தபடியாக இரண்டாமிடத்தில் இருக்கிறதென்றும், சிவாஜி படம் 300 கோடி வசூல் செய்ததாகவும் சொன்னார்கள். இதில் உண்மை எந்த அளவுக்கு எனத் தெரியவில்லை. விஷயம் தெரிந்தவர்கள் சொல்லலாம்.

Patient Rajini does the rounds in city hospital

CHENNAI: Even in hospital, actor Rajinikanth is at his charming best. He walks around and chats up other patients at the St Isabel Hospital in Mylapore, where he is admitted for fever and breathlessness.
Rajinikanth was admitted in the intensive care unit of the hospital on Wednesday. The doctors treating him said the actor's health is showing improvement. "He is now feeling better after we removed phlegm from his chest," a doctor said. The actor is likely to leave the hospital only after a couple of days when recovers completely.
The other patients in the ICU were both moved and excited as the superstar went up to them and enquired about their health. "He is full of energy and his health condition is not stopping him from thinking about the others," the doctor said.
"Even the sickest started smiling on seeing their favourite star in flesh and blood," another hospital employee said.
"He has lots of work lined up. We are trying to help him complete some of them from the hospital itself," a hospital source said. "We are receiving lots of calls from abroad enquiring about his health," he said.
Doctors said the actor made a mistake by leaving the hospital in a haste the last time he was admitted there. The Enthiran' star was hospitalised briefly last week after complaining of fatigue on the first day of shooting for his next film Raana', in which he plays a triple role. The doctors said he was suffering from dehydration and exhaustion. Chief minister M Karunanidhi visited him in the hospital. Though the actor was discahrged the same evening, he was again taken to the hospital on Wednesday.
His daughter Aishwarya Dhanush said Rajinikanth's hospitalisation will not affect the schedule of Raana'.

When is Rajinikanth getting discharged?

It is needless to remind that Superstar was admitted to hospital following uneasiness during the first day of Rana’s shoot. He was discharged later and was admitted again for he had trouble breathing a few days later. Our sources tell that the doctor assured that the star is recovering fast and might be discharged on Wednesday (11th May).

Every fan of his has been praying for superstar’s quick recovery. Some fans are going on pilgrimages and undergoing traditional temple rituals and vigorously praying for Rajini to get on his feet soon. Meanwhile, the star is charming all the patients and visitors at the hospital and proved that he is not called Superstar for nothing. We are hoping that he recovers and is discharged soon.

Rajinikanth who is now hospitalised due to fever and allergic bronchitis at Isabel Hospital in Chennai will be discharged in a day or two.

There is a buzz that the superstar will be flying to US for a holiday and treatment.

Noted political columnist and Tamil Nadu specialist R Rajagopalan has tweeted- "Rajinikant may leave for US for treatment. Permissions and travel documents are being readied. Rajni seeks Delhi assistance".

Meanwhile the superstar went out of the hospital for special prayers. Rajnikanth prayed today (May 10) at the famous Kalikambal Temple and meditated at Pamban Swamigal Ashram.

A spokesperson of Isabel hospital said: "Rajinikanth was given permission to go out for performing some 'Pooja' and also for meditation. He is now back in the hospital and his health is normal and is taking rest."

Amidst sleepless nights and growing concern over ambiguous medical reports of his health condition, Rajinikanth's fans can sleep easy.

Sources from the super star's family confirmed that he was just admitted because of the extreme weight loss he underwent for his new film.

Satyanarayana Rao Gaikwad, Rajinikanth's elder brother, who lives in Bangalore, said the drastic reduction in body weight resulting from a harsh diet regime caused a minor illness and he has to remain in hospital for a few days more.

"He wanted to be slim for a role in his new film and was on a liquid diet for more than 20 days. The doctors said the sudden drop in body weight caused some minor complications, but there was nothing to worry," Gaikwad said.

15 kg in 20 days

Shooting for Rajinikanth's upcoming film was launched on April 29, and the style king is playing a triple role.

For one of the roles, he needed to slim down from 75 kg to 60 kg and he started the strict diet regime a month earlier. While he did manage to shed around 15 kg in a span of 20 days, it took a toll on his health.

He was taken to Isabel Hospital in Chennai on the very day the film went on sets, after complaining of exhaustion and vomiting.

Initially, it was reported as food poisoning, but the fans felt the seriousness, when he was kept in the ICU for more than ten days and started asking pertinent questions.

"He is recovering fast and it will be a couple of days before we take him home. When I met him on Monday, he was cheerful and said he was feeling alright," said Gaikwad.

He informed that the doctors have changed the star's diet and he was having idli, dosa and vegetable soup. "He is now looking energetic. He will resume shooting shortly," he added.

While Gaikwad's account sounds credible enough, another source in the family said the illness was a result of withdrawal symptoms as the actor had stopped drinking recently.

No more Whiskey

Rajinikanth normal intake was three to four pegs of Whiskey per day, and on occasion, he consumed more than eight pegs. He decided to stop drinking after family members prevailed upon him on his birthday, which was celebrated on December 12.

"Although he wanted to stop drinking from his birthday onwards, he was finally able to stop only recently. The change in diet and sudden stop of intake of alcohol all at once, and that took a toll on his health," said the source.

The doctors in the hospital however, remained non-committal on this, they said, "We are not authorised to talk about the details. But, we can say nothing is serious about his health condition."

They evaded queries about why he was kept in the ICU for such a long period, if his condition was not really serious.

Sources at the hospital said that Rajinikanth is showing signs of a quick recovery and he even spoke to some of the patients yesterday.

This is Ridiculous, you can not loose that much weight in 20 days, even If you are on Liquid diet or Atkins non Carbs diet! When you start dieting the first thing you loose is water, followed by the Salt content in your blood, the last thing you loose is fat.

Weighing machines (scales) can not tell you the amount Fat lost, they will only display the amount of weight loss (which includes water, salt, minerals and fat). Only a special machine, which reads the contents of fat through your sweat, can determine the amount of fat you had and the amount you have after dieting! The other way is to do a blood test.

So in Super Star's case what could have happened was, he would have lost quite a lot of water, which would have caused lot of dehydration, which could have let him to

1) Chronic Fatigue
2) Liquid diets without any solid food, triggers diarrhea, which causes more dehydration!
3) Dieting without exercise the dumbest thing in the world, cos when you diet your body becomes weak, and if you do not weight train and start to build muscles, you become even weaker and frail!

If you are used to alcohol for a prolonged period of time, and if you stop suddenly, it would backfire on you with nasty consequences of withdrawal symptoms which include

1) Hallucination
2) Depression
3) Insomnia
4) Irritation
5) Stomach irregularities
6) Palpitation
7) High Blood pressure

The ONLY way to give up alcohol is by gradually decrease the amount of intake, and by avoiding drinking on empty stomach. The best way to avoid Alcohol craving is by eating some food, when the craving comes, cos once the stomach is full the craving decreases!

Still if one can not give up alcohol, one should seek medical advice where you Doctor may prescribe medicine such as campral ec tablets, to stop your craving for alcohol!

more than ur body is urging it, its the urge of ur mind that makes u intake it. either smoke or drink.

if u hav the habit for sometime, and if ur successful reducing it this way, then tell me.
i don mean that u should experience on everything to speak on that... general advises canot be applied to the habits of urge.

I took up a Fitness training course and I am a Part time, gym instructor. What I was trying to say was, if you want loose weight / Fat “YOU MUST" include an exercise program along with dieting. Simply loosing weight without dieting is insane, if you do this is what will happen to you...

1) Your Muscle mass index would decrease, which could lead to a decrease in your bone mass, which could give you join problems, ligaments being torn in places like 'Elbow, knee joins, etc.

2) By doing weight training you are improving your strength and ur muscle mass, building muscles burns off calories while you rest!!! and it also boosts your testosterone levels!

If you want more info, pls come to my thread in misc section called 'Any Fitness Freaks out here' :)

I am sure he must be following regular yoga exercises and a few specific for weight loss in the current case.

ரஜினி எற்கனவே இரண்டு முறை உடல் நலக்குறைவு ஏற்பட்டது. “ராணா” படப்பிடிப்பின் போது அஜீரண கோளாறு ஏற்பட்டது. உடனடியாக இசபெல்லா ஆஸ்பத்திரியில் அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டு சிகிச்சை பெற்றார். அன்று மாலையே டிஸ்சார்ஜ் ஆகி வீடு திரும்பினார். கடந்த 4-ந்தேதி மீண்டும் அவருக்கு உடல் நலக்குறைவு ஏற்பட்டது. வைரஸ் காய்ச்சல், இருமல் இருந்தது. அதே ஆஸ்பத்திரியில் அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டு சிகிச்சை பெற்றார். 7 நாட்கள் ஆஸ்பத்திரியில் இருந்தார். பின்னர் உடல் நிலை சீரானது. டிஸ்சார்ஜ் ஆகி வீட்டுக்கு சென்றார்.

முன்னதாக பாரிமுனையில் உள்ள காளிகாம்பாள் கோவில், திருவான்மியூரில் உள்ள பாம்பன் சாமி ஆலயங்களுக்கு சென்று சாமி கும்பிட்டார். ஓரிரு நாட்கள் வீட்டில் தங்கி ஒய்வு எடுத்து வந்தார். நேற்று ரஜினி உடல் நிலை குறித்து வதந்தி பரவியது. இதற்கு அவரது மனைவி லதா மறுப்பு தெரிவித்தார். ரஜினி நலமுடன் இருப்பதாக கூறினார்.

இந்த நிலையில் நேற்று இரவு ரஜினிக்கு மீண்டும் உடல் நலக்குறைவு ஏற்பட்டது. போரூரில் உள்ள தனியார் ஆஸ்பத்திரியில் சிகிச்சைக்காக அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டார். காய்ச்சலும் காலில் வீக்கமும் இருப்பதாக கூறப்படுகிறது. டாக்டர்கள் தீவிர சிகிச்சை அளித்து வருகிறார்கள்.

There have been a lot of rumours ranging from normal fever to lungs problem,liver problem,kidney problem etc., Only he and his family can clarify the truth.
But in my opinion,nothing would be serious,even sometimes, normal viral fever will take a long time to cure.Since he is a top ranked celebrity,things are made sophisticated.
He was completely active during the first day shoot of Rana.So definitely nothing serious would have happened to him.Within another 10 days,he will be back....

Superstar Rajinikanth has been advised complete rest by doctors attending on him. In a bulletin released today, the hospital said the superstar had been admitted for his recurrent respiratory infections and gastro intestinal problems.

The update from the Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre also said the superstar is not in ICU and is 'progressing well'.

Tamil superstar Rajinikanth, who suffered from viral fever and exhaustion recently, has been admitted to a private hospital here for 'various check-ups.'

The 61 year-old actor was admitted last night to the Sri Ramachandra Medical University (SRMU) at suburban Porur, days after he was discharged from another hospital where he had been treated for allergic bronchitis and viral fever.

"Rajinikanth has been admitted for various check-ups and not for any treatment", SRMU sources said.

The superstar's family had on Friday dismissed as rumours reports that his health had deteriorated.

The actor had suffered from exhaustion on April 29, the first day of the shoot of his new period film Rana co-starring Deepika Padukone which is being directed by KS Ravikumar.

He was admitted to the Isabel Hospital in the city and discharged the same day only to be readmitted there on May 4 for allergic bronchitis and viral fever.

2. It seems after hearing election result Thalivar consumed small amount of alcohol...that resulted quite un healthy...

3. As per now the hemoglobin content is very slow....for that they are going to do blood purification and transplation at 7pm.

CHENNAI: Actor Rajinikath is back in hospital for pneumonia, renal and gastro-intestinal problems. Doctors at Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre, Porur in Chennai, where the 61-year-old film icon was admitted on Saturday, said he was being treated for recurrent respiratory infection and a stomach ailment. His stressful schedules coupled with lifestyle habits, including smoking, could have worsened his health condition.

Rajinikanth, who had returned home after two rounds of hospitalization, was rushed back to hospital on Saturday when his respiratory problems worsened. A series of investigations including a CT scan was done by a team of doctors, who concluded that he suffered from pneumonia.

They found he had fluid accumulation between the layers of the tissue that line the lungs and chest cavity. Blood test reports also showed elevated levels of creatinine in blood showing signs of kidney disorders and other gastrointestinal problems. He is being intermittently given oxygen support and is pumped in with antibiotics to clear infection of the lower respiratory tract. A medical bulletin from the hospital said he was ''not in the ICU and has been progressing well''.
On April 29, the actor was first taken to the hospital when he complained of fatigue and vomiting on the first day of shooting for his upcoming film Rana. Doctors at the St Isabel's Hospital said he was dehydrated and exhausted. He was discharged the same day. On May 4, he was moved into the ICU of the hospital with breathing difficulty and discomfort. A week later, he was discharged and advised rest.

His wife, Latha, said on Friday that his health condition was improving. Senior doctors visited him at his residence. But in Saturday, the family moved him to Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre after he once again complained of discomfort.

Sure he is having many problems...God help him to recover soon....
