IR - 1000th Film!!!!!!!!!!!

I know it is too early but just thought of discussing ideas/wishes how all the HCIRF wanted his 1000th film movie to be.

My wish - currently he has completed 885 films(roughly), so another 115 films if he complete that in year 2017(that's his 75th birthday) it would be nice. Also i want him to work with KH for his 1000th film like a Devar-Magan, Aboorva Sahodargal kind of movie - not a patriotic or historical movie.

Also i need help from some of the fans in filling these entries

These numbers are often misleading. Many such lists count Idhaythai Thirudahdhae and Geethanjali as two albums. Thalapathy is counted thrice, once for Hindi.

It needs to be sanitised before we calculate the final number.

Apart from the IR'esque music and a song with "Raja" in it, "naanda ungappanda" lyrics were repeated by IR in "Ilaiyaraaja's musical journey" in the Italy concert. Hope someone can confirm.

Another Trivia for his Malayalam films is that he has worked with 33 Directors in his 49 films, covering most of the frontline ones that can be named - So, it's not that he has been working with a group of close directors, as the perception may be.

BTW, a digression - had a close miss from meeting Balki - Was staying in Aananda Himalayas in between when I got to know that Balki was putting up there too- a few guys from my group also happened to spot him- We were almost packing up from there. Still, Tried to meet him but could not.

There are also 2 unreleased Malayalam films for which IR has scored music:

1. Chaitram (1995).
2. Maayamohitachandran (directed by an Assistant to Sathyan Anthikkad)- filmed somehwre around 2003.

The audio of Chaitram was released sometime in 1995.
Never heard of Maayamohitachandran audio, though.

Yes, Kanni Theevu is indeed IR's directed by T. R. Ramanna released in 1981. Pulavar, RS has given a good link for the list of movies and he thinks it is reliable. So I think we can add up the total no. of movies from there. I'll come up with the total when I find the time and mood to do some math. :)
