CAPTAIN PRABHAKARAN - INTRODUCING CAPTAIN

I believe that success in most people's life follows a normal distribution pattern. People start from scratch , gradually attain their peak and slowly start depreciating downwards. I believe, this law applies to everyone, including Ilayaraja. An Ilayaraja composing today wouldnt be a fraction of what he originally was. Though Captain Prabhakaran was composed at a time, when he was beginning to descend, he still was very much a monopoly, even then.

This little bit of intro music is still good enough to knock out anyone's best bit of BGM , composed today.


The scene:
Yuvasri and her mother come to the city to enquire about the whereabouts of their brother(Sarath Kumar). She is then molested by the police themselves, and runs for safety. As she runs, people run for cover themselves, not wanting to encounter the wrath of the police. She runs until she hits a jeep coming to her in the opposite direction. The door opens and our saviour appears.

“சுமை” படத்தின்போதே டைரக்டர் ராம.நாராயணன் எனக்கு நண்பராகவும் ஆகிவிட்டார். பாலைவனச்சோலை படத்தில் நடித்துக் கொண்டிருந்த நேரத்தில், ஒரு மாலைப்பொழுதில் என்னை அழைத்து “எர்ர மல்லு” என்ற தெலுங்குப்படத்தை போட்டுக் காண்பித்தார். 2 ஹீரோக்களின் பின்னணியில் அமைந்த கதை. “இந்தப் படத்தை தமிழில் ஏவி.எம். நிறுவனம் தயாரிக்கிறது. `சிவப்பு மல்லி’ என்று பெயர் வைத்திருக்கிறேன்” என்றார், ராம.நாராயணன்.

மறுநாள் படத்தின் பூஜை. எதிர்பாராத விதமாக சிவகுமார் படத்தில் இருந்து விலகிக் கொள்கிறார். ராம.நாராயணன், ஒரு இரவுக்குள் ஒரு ஹீரோவை ஒப்பந்தம் செய்தாக வேண்டிய நிலையில் இருந்தார். இந்தக் கேரக்டருக்கு யார் சரியாக இருப்பார்கள் என்று யோசித்தவர், ராஜபாதர் தெருவில் உள்ள தனது அறையில் தூங்கிக் கொண்டிருந்த விஜயகாந்தை எழுப்பி, அப்போதே ஏவி.எம். ஸ்டூடியோவுக்கு அழைத்து வந்து, ஸ்டில் எடுக்க ஏற்பாடு செய்தார். நானும் விஜயகாந்தும் அரிவாள் – சுத்தி சகிதம் புகைப்படத்துக்கு போஸ் கொடுத்தோம்.

திட்டமிட்டபடி படம் எடுப்பதில் ராம.நாராயணன் திறமையானவர். 18 நாளில் “சிவப்பு மல்லி” படத்தின் வசனப்பகுதியை எடுத்து முடித்து விட்டார். படத்தில் நானும் விஜயகாந்தும் பாடுவதாக வரும் “எரிமலை எப்படி பொறுக்கும்? நம் நெருப்புக்கு இன்னுமா உறக்கம்?” என்ற பாடல் காட்சியை ஏவி.எம். காலனியில் எடுத்தார்கள். பாடலில் இருந்த நெருப்பு வரிகள் படத்துக்கு பக்கபலமாக அமைந்தது. படம் வெற்றி பெற்றது.

கதைப்படி, இந்தப் படத்தின் ஹீரோ நான்தான். எனவே விஜயகாந்தை விடவும் சம்பளமும் எனக்குத்தான் அதிகம்!

நண்பர் ஒருவர், “திரைப்படக் கல்லூரி மாணவர் ஒருவர் ஒரு கதை வைத்திருக்கிறார். கேளுங்கள்” என்று சொல்லி அந்த மாணவரை அனுப்பி வைத்தார். அன்றைய படப்பிடிப்பு முடிந்து சந்திரசேகரும் கதை கேட்டார். 21/2 மணி நேரமும் கதை சொன்ன திரைப்படக் கல்லூரி மாணவரான சின்னச்சாமி, சந்திரசேகரை ரொம்பவே ஆச்சரியமாய் உணரவைத்தார். இதுபற்றி சந்திரசேகர் கூறுகிறார்:-

“சின்னச்சாமி சொன்னது அதுவரை நான் கேட்டிராத கதை. படத்தில் வருகிற மாதிரி காட்சி காட்சியாக வரிசைப்படுத்தி கதை சொன்னார். கதை கேட்டு முடித்ததும், நான் அவரிடம் “நீங்க சொன்னதுல பாதியை படமா எடுத்தாக்கூட படத்துக்கு மிகப்பெரிய வெற்றி கிடைக்கும்” என்றேன்.

நான் விஜயகாந்திடம், “இன்ஸ்டிïட் மாணவர் சொன்ன கதை அற்புதம். நீங்கள் கதாநாயகனாக நடித்தால் உங்கள் சினிமா கேரியரில் பெரிய மாற்றம் ஏற்படும்” என்றேன்.

விஜயகாந்த் என் வார்த்தையை நம்பினார். கால்ஷீட் கொடுத்தார். படம் “ஊமை விழிகள்” என்ற பெயரில் தயாராகி திரைக்கு வந்தபோது, பிரமாண்ட வெற்றியை அடைந்தது. சின்னச்சாமி என்ற அந்த இயக்குனர் `ஆபாவாணன்’ என்ற பெயரில் பிரபலமானார். அவரது அடுத்த படமான “செந்தூரப்பூவே” படமும் விஜயகாந்துக்கு பெரிய வெற்றி தேடித்தந்தது. இந்தப் படங்களில் எனக்கும் முக்கிய கேரக்டர் கிடைத்து, பெயரும் கிடைத்தது.

இதன் பிறகு திரைப்படக் கல்லூரி மாணவர்களை வைத்து “உழவன் மகன்” என்று சொந்தப்படமே எடுத்தார், விஜயகாந்த். அதுவும் வெற்றி....[/tscii:73050aabf6]

Sept. 19: IIM graduate and owner of Food King catering services E. Sarathbabu, who contested the 2009 Lok Sabha election as an Independent from South Chennai constituency, will join actor-politician Vijayakanth’s DMDK on Monday.

Mr Sarathbabu would join the party in the presence of Mr Vijayakanth and Ma Foi K. Pandia Rajan at the party’s headquarters here. “The DMDK is the only party which is very committed to the uplift of the poor and wants to bring about a social change. That’s why I decided to join the party,” Mr Sarathbabu told Deccan Chronicle.

The IIM-Ahmedabad graduate, who hit the headlines after he declined several high-profile jobs from MNCs a few years ago and started his own catering business, was inspired by his mother who once sold idlis on the pavements of Chennai to educate him and his siblings.

The entrepreneur said DMDK’s commitment to alleviating poverty had encouraged him to join the party. “In India, about 37 per cent people live below the poverty line. I have experienced poverty in my early days. Poverty should be eliminated at any cost,” he emphasised.

Ramanarayanan lived in the very next street to Appachchi’s house in Karaikudi. He had to cross “AVM house” everyday while walking to school.Having heard stories about AVM and his success, it was his dream to enter the tinsel world. AVM, Kaviyarasu Kannadasan and Kalainjar Karunanidhi were his early inspirations. In 1976, he and his friend M.A.Kaja started writing story and dialogues as Ram-Rahim for the film Asai 60 naal. More films followed….Durgadevi , Ragupathi ragavan rajaram, Manthoppu kiliye,Theru vilakku. M.A.Kaja started directing films like Inikkum ilamai, Manthoppu kiliye, Paurnami nilavil, Engamma magarani…

While writing dialogues as Ram Rahim, Ramanarayanan produced some films Meenatchi kungumam, Velum mayilum thunai, Oru vidukathai oru thodarkathai under Sri Devipriya films (named after his mother). All of them were small budget films.He made his directorial debut in 1980 . He produced and directed Meenatchi starring Vijaybabu, Dheepa and Surulirajan . Rama narayanan has produced 45 films and directed 100+ films( including a few films in Oriya,Bengali and Bhojpuri). Ramanarayanan is known for small budget films which earned money at the box office. He is known mostly for his amman films like Adi veLLi, Thai poosam,Raja Kaliyamman and films with Baby Shamilee like Durga, Senthura devi. Ramarajan worked with him as assistant director from the film Sumai. Perarsu , the director of Vijay’s Thiruppachchi and Sivakasi was assistant director to Rama Narayanan for 35 films.

Ramanarayanan’s earlier films Sumai, Sivappu malli, Pattam parakkattum, Sivantha kangal, Ithu enga naadu, Soru were based on social and communist themes.
His second film Sumai produced by Thenandal films was released on May 1,1981 and was awarded one lakh rupees by the Tamilnadu government.(with four more films Rajapaarvai, Echill iravugal, Aval oru kaviyam and Oru varisu uruvagirathu). The critical and box office success of Sumai got him an offer from the prestigious AVM productions to direct their next film.
A.V.M.Productions bought the rights of the Telugu film “Erra malli” and decided to produce it under Balasubramaniam & co. Sivappu malli directed by Rama narayanan was a small budget film produced in 56 days. It is customary for AVM Productions to announce the date of release on the day of the pooja. (the only exception being the Rajni-Sankar film Sivaji under production). Initially, Kamalahasan was AVM’s first wanted to choice.Since Kamal was too busy with his schedule, Vijayakanth was chosen for the main role. Anuradha (the dancer) was cast opposite Vijayakanth. She ran away with her lover and Aruna replaced her. Chandrasekar and Shanthi Krishna were the other pair.

It was the dedication of Vijayakanth which made it possible for AVM to release the film on date (August 15, 1980).For Vijayakanth it was a prestigious role as hero with AVM Productions.He was already committed to his outdoor schedule in Salem for P.S.Veerappa’s film “Saatchi”. Every evening he traveled by car from Salem to Maduranthakam and Chennai for the shooting of Sivappumalli. AVM unit was surprised and stunned by his hard work and dedication.
The film was based on a communist theme with the factory, workers and union in the backdrop. I recall a few scenes from my memory… Chandrasekar and Vijaykanth as friends in a factory…. Chandrasekar married to Shanthi Krishna… Vijayakanth leading the workers with the song “erimalai eppadi poRukkum”and a scene with Shanthi krishna’s jasmine flowers lying in a pool of blood…

The song “reNdu kannam” is for Chandrasekar and Shanthi Krishna.

Synopsis:
Vijay (Vijaykanth) witnesses his parents being burnt alive by some temple thieves. The incident leaves a deep scar on his mind because his sister Geetha (Vanitha) loses her eyesight at the same time. Vijay and Geetha are brought up by his father's friend Peter who is a hypnotist. As Vijay grows up, he also masters this art with the aim of extinguishing the fire of revenge that is still burning within him. Vijay plans to attack his parent's murderers Vishwanath (M.N. Nambiar) and Shankar. He decides to destroy Vishwanth's family of five children. But in the meantime, he falls in love with Vishwanath's daughter Chitra (Sripriya) who is a lawyer. Ramanarayanan lived in the very next street to Appachchi’s house in Karaikudi. He had to cross “AVM house” everyday while walking to school.Having heard stories about AVM and his success, it was his dream to enter the tinsel world. AVM, Kaviyarasu Kannadasan and Kalainjar Karunanidhi were his early inspirations. In 1976, he and his friend M.A.Kaja started writing story and dialogues as Ram-Rahim for the film Asai 60 naal. More films followed….Durgadevi , Ragupathi ragavan rajaram, Manthoppu kiliye,Theru vilakku. M.A.Kaja started directing films like Inikkum ilamai, Manthoppu kiliye, Paurnami nilavil, Engamma magarani…

While writing dialogues as Ram Rahim, Ramanarayanan produced some films Meenatchi kungumam, Velum mayilum thunai, Oru vidukathai oru thodarkathai under Sri Devipriya films (named after his mother). All of them were small budget films.He made his directorial debut in 1980 . He produced and directed Meenatchi starring Vijaybabu, Dheepa and Surulirajan . Rama narayanan has produced 45 films and directed 100+ films( including a few films in Oriya,Bengali and Bhojpuri). Ramanarayanan is known for small budget films which earned money at the box office. He is known mostly for his amman films like Adi veLLi, Thai poosam,Raja Kaliyamman and films with Baby Shamilee like Durga, Senthura devi. Ramarajan worked with him as assistant director from the film Sumai. Perarsu , the director of Vijay’s Thiruppachchi and Sivakasi was assistant director to Rama Narayanan for 35 films.

Ramanarayanan’s earlier films Sumai, Sivappu malli, Pattam parakkattum, Sivantha kangal, Ithu enga naadu, Soru were based on social and communist themes.
His second film Sumai produced by Thenandal films was released on May 1,1981 and was awarded one lakh rupees by the Tamilnadu government.(with four more films Rajapaarvai, Echill iravugal, Aval oru kaviyam and Oru varisu uruvagirathu). The critical and box office success of Sumai got him an offer from the prestigious AVM productions to direct their next film.
A.V.M.Productions bought the rights of the Telugu film “Erra malli” and decided to produce it under Balasubramaniam & co. Sivappu malli directed by Rama narayanan was a small budget film produced in 56 days. It is customary for AVM Productions to announce the date of release on the day of the pooja. (the only exception being the Rajni-Sankar film Sivaji under production). " Dear Sathya,
That is an excellent song, but regarding the cast and dates there are some errors. As you have corrected the movie was released in 1981-August along with Netrikann, Sankarlal & Maadi veetu Ezhai. Vijaykanth shuttling between Satchi & here? I think you are mistaken for some other VK film,because Satchi was the relaunching movie for VK in July 1983, after he slumped a career debacle. Then Kamal being approached for VK, I think as for as I know, it was Sivakumar who was approached for this role but Siva wanted Chandrasekar's role.AVM Saravanan was not obliging and Siva then requested atleast that his character shall made to die instead od Chandrasekar's. But AVM was unwilling on that account also and indicated that Siva at that stage was not commercially viable and therefore he cannot demand. Siva was upset over this remarks and he took a long break from AVM's movies after this inspite of the fact that he was introduced by AVM.

Then one of the early songs of Vairamuthu, this was a beauty. Especially in the last saranam, he would have used

Nanaitha Malargalukku Kulir edukatho; vandukal
Paranthu vanthu Thalai thuvatatho.

Right from Sangam literature period,one comparison (uvamai) that never changed(s) is,equating woman to a flower and man to a bee which comes and sucks the honey. VM also uses the same but how differently he says. He picturises the flower to be shivering because it is drenched by honey rain and seeing the plight of the flower, the bee rushes and dries it up. Bee sucking honey is described as " Thalai Thuvatuthal". What an imagination! Hats off to VM. "

1972 ஆம் ஆண்டில் வெளியான இந்தப் படம் தமிழ்சினிமாவை ஒரு கலக்கு கலக்கியது. ராமு என்னும் ஆடு ஓவர் நைட்டில் சூப்பர் ஸ்டாரானது. தியேட்டர் தியேட்டராக அந்த ஆட்டை கூட்டிச் சென்று படம் பார்க்க வந்தவர்களுக்கு காட்டினார்கள். நமது விஜயகாந்த் கூட தன் நண்பர் வினியோகஸ்தர் மன்சூக் என்பவருக்காக் அப்பணியை செய்திருக்கிறார். சிவகுமார்,ஸ்ரீபிரியா நடித்த படம். ஸ்ரீபிரியாவையும் நம்பர் ஒன் அந்தஸ்த்துக்கு உயர்த்தியது. பின் ஐந்து வருடங்கள் அவர் உச்சத்தில் இருந்தார். பொதுமக்கள் ஆட்டின் சாகஸங்களான டேப் ரிக்கார்டர் ஆன் செய்வது, கடிதம் கொடுப்பது போன்றவற்றில்
மெய்மறந்தனர்.

இந்த ஆண்டு விஜயகாந்துக்கு நல்ல அறுவடை. திரைப்பட கல்லூரி மாணவர்களின் தயாரிப்பு,இயக்கத்தில் காவல் அதிகாரி வேடத்தில் நடித்த ஊமைவிழிகள் நன்கு பேசப்பட்டது. ஆர் சுந்தர்ராஜன் இயக்கத்தில் பாடகராக அம்மன் கோவில் கிழக்காலே, எட்டுகுழந்தைகளுக்கு அப்பாவாக தழுவாத கைகள், ஆர் சி சக்தி இயக்கத்தில் கேமராமேனாக மனக்கணக்கு (இதில் இயக்குநராக கமல் கௌரவ வேடம்). சங்கிலி முருகன் தயாரிப்பில் கரிமேடு கருவாயன் என பலதரப் பட்ட வேடங்கள், வெற்றிகள்.

கங்குலிக்கு ஆப் சைட் என்றால் விஜயகாந்துக்கு ஆக்சன் சீன். கங்குலிக்கு லெக் சைட்டில் நளினமாக ஆடவராது. நம்மாளுக்கு காலை வைத்து நளினமாக ஆட தெரியாது. பார்ம் போனபின் மீடியாக்களால் பந்தாடப்பட்டவர்கள். ஒருவருக்கு வங்காளம் பின்னால் நின்றது. இவருக்கு இவரது பி & சி ரசிகர்கள். துறை வல்லுனர்களிடம் இவர்களைப்பற்றி கேட்டால் நல்லமுறையில் பதில் வராது, ஆனாலும் நின்றவர்கள்.

ஆனால் தலைமைக்கு தேவையான குணங்கள் இருவரிடமும் அதிகம். தைரியமானவர்கள். கங்குலி, 1991 ஆஸ்திரேலியப் பயணத்தில் நான் கிரிக்கெட் ஆட வந்தேன், கூல்ட்ரிங்ஸ் கொடுக்க அல்ல என்று நிர்வாகத்தை எதிர்த்தவர். இவர் நான் கதானாயகனாகதான் நடிப்பேன், வில்லனாக மாட்டேன் என்று அடம் பிடித்தவர். இவர் பார்மை இழந்து பின்னர் மீண்டும் எழுந்து நிற்பார். பல தோல்விப்படங்கள் கொடுத்தாலும் பின் ஒரு வெற்றியின் மூலம் இவரும் எழுந்துநிற்பார்.

ஆனால் தலைமைக்கு தேவையான குணங்கள் இருவரிடமும் அதிகம். தைரியமானவர்கள். கங்குலி, 1991 ஆஸ்திரேலியப் பயணத்தில் நான் கிரிக்கெட் ஆட வந்தேன், கூல்ட்ரிங்ஸ் கொடுக்க அல்ல என்று நிர்வாகத்தை எதிர்த்தவர். இவர் நான் கதானாயகனாகதான் நடிப்பேன், வில்லனாக மாட்டேன் என்று அடம் பிடித்தவர். இவர் பார்மை இழந்து பின்னர் மீண்டும் எழுந்து நிற்பார். பல தோல்விப்படங்கள் கொடுத்தாலும் பின் ஒரு வெற்றியின் மூலம் இவரும் எழுந்துநிற்பார்.

I thought Yuhi did a very good job. Since that role is mostly being bossed around by seniors, a hero level actor might not fit in. And considering Maddy's image, IMO it would be a slight detour/turn-off if he did that role.

Tax relief for funds stars spend on fans

MUMBAI: Fans idolises their superstars and superstars love their fans. And now, celebrities can actually turn this adulation to their advantage as 80% of the money they spend on their fans will be treated as expenses meant for promoting their profession and will not be taxed.

The dispute over taxing the money spent by actors on their followers came up before the Madras high court that was hearing an appeal by the income tax (I-T) department against a tribunal order that went in favour of Tamil actor Vijayakant. The actor is the founder of a political outfit, Desiya Mupokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK).

The actor claimed that he had spent Rs 20.19 lakh on his fan clubs in 2004-05 and the amount should be treated as expenses and not subjected to tax. Not agreeing to the argument, the I-T department said the spending had not been shown genuine as it was not produced with supporting vouchers or other forms of evidence.

Vijaykant challenged the contention before the commissioner of I-T (appeal) who granted that 80% of the amount can be treated as expenses. He added that such expenses were most important for the assessee (Vijayakanth) to maintain his popularity among his fans and were relevant to his profession. The income tax appellate tribunal also upheld his view.

The HC said it was a well known fact that popular artistes and celebrities promote their Rasigar Manrams (fan clubs) through which they promote their upcoming films. Tamil superstar Rajnikanth leads the list with the biggest fan following in the country followed by Amitabh Bachchan, SRK and Sachin Tendulkar.

"When a celebrity claims that a substantial amount is spent towards clothes and food at the time of the release of new films and for the maintenance of Rasigar Manrams, it cannot be said it is not part of his profession. The view of the commissioner of income tax (appeal), who found favour with the tribunal, could not be faulted with. We, therefore, do not find any question of law, to entertain this appeal,'' said the HC, dismissing the appeal.

Income tax officials said this ruling was bound to have an effect on other fan clubs too. "Most of them will quote this to claim complete deductions while computing tax saying they have to sponsor their fan clubs to promote themselves,'' a senior I-T official said.

With a chequered career with as many ups and downs as in a snakes and ladders game, Vijayakanth, with his tall, dark and robust physique, can be taken as an icon of Dravidian macho appeal. Written off by the industry 4 times in his career spanning nearly 2 decades, Vijayakanth has bounced back after every dark phase with doubled vigour.
Hero of the hoipolloi, Vijayakanth completed his 125th film with 'Ulavuthurai' which has the distinction of being the first Tamil film to shoot under water. In this interview, he speaks about his struggles, his successes, his failures and his plans.

Q: Hailing from a wealthy family, why did you enter films? Did you have to struggle to get a proper break?

A: It was an accident. We have a rice mill in Madurai and I was managing it. Seeing me moving around in a motorbike, one of the biggest distributors of that area took some stills of me and asked me whether I was interested in acting. I succumbed to the temptation and came to Madras.

Recommended by my distributor friend, I was even signed by a producer. I shot for 2 or 3 days. After a few days' break, I was shocked to see in the newspapers that another popular actor, whose name I don't want to reveal now, was doing the role I was signed for.

Infuriated, I confronted the director who, to my utter consternation, informed me that I had been dropped from the film became I could not speak Tamil properly! I was amazed because Madurai is the seat of Tamil language and culture and how could I, born and brought up there, not speak Tamil properly? I took this insult as a challenge and at that moment decided that cinema was my career.

Precisely at that time my struggle started. The distributor who created in me a love for cinema felt guilty and introduced me to M A Khaja, then a prolific director, who gave me a break in his Sudhakar-Radhika starrer 'Inikkum llamai'. It was actually a negative role and I just had a few scenes and a fight. Director Khaja also changed my original name Vijayaraj into Vijayakanth. Though a brief role, it made an impact on the audience.

Then came 'Thoorathu Idi Muzhakkam', which was delayed unduly owing to financial constraints, 'Neerottam' and 'Akal Vilakku'. All of them flopped. There was 'Samanthipoo' in which I was villain. But my career then was in such a bad shape that my name was deleted from the credit title.

Those days most of the production companies were located at Kodambakkam and the bus fare to that area from my lodge was a mere 25 paise. Even that was a big amount for me. My father refused to send me money because he was not pleased with the idea of my entering films. I used to starve, trudge to film companies. I put up with all that only because I was determined to prove my worth in this industry.

Q: Your career went through several hiccups? How did you survive them?

A: Every hero has a bad phase, but no hero would have suffered the types of humiliation I was subjected to and still survived as I did. I was written off, not once but more than 4 times, in these 2 decades.

After 4 consecutive flops, director S A Chandrashekar, impressed by my performance in 'Neerottam,' booked me for his 'Sattam Oru Iruttarai'. During the making of the film, a popular hero sent feelers to the director that he would like to act in it. Even the distributors were against me as I was not a saleable proposition.
My position was whether to swim or sink. I told Chandrashekar that his film was crucial for me and if he dropped me, that would be the last nail in my coffin. Chandrashekar had confidence in me and braving all odds went ahead and the film proved to be one of the biggest hits of the day.

Ironically, even that film did not help me. After 'Sattam Oru Iruttarai,' I did 18 films and every one of them bombed. The industry gave credit to Chandrashekar for that film's success and dismissed me totally.

While I was idling away my time stoically waiting for yet another break, it was Chandrashekar again who gave me a second lease of life in his 'Saatchi' against the distributors' warnings. 'Saatchi' went on to become a success, but again it did not help me.

'Saatchi' was followed by a string of flops and aborted productions and my jobless state continued. Around this time, R Sundarrajan came up with 'Vaidehi Kaathirundaal' which was a different type of film and its success really helped me because it was followed by many more hits.

Those days I used to work 3 shifts. One year 14 of my films were released. I met with an accident during the making of 'Kaalaiyum Neeye Maalayum Neeye'. My eyes were hurt and I had to take treatment. I was written off by the industry as rumours spread that I had lost my sight.

My close friend and associate Ibrahim Rauthar had by then floated his own production company just to promote me and his 'Uzhavan Magan' was in the making. Because of the rumours about my illhealth , the distributors stopped funding it.

To dispel the rumours, I participated in a day's shooting for the film in the presence of the entire media and industry bigwigs. That was my third difficult phase.

For a long time, my films were not big grossers, but proved safe bets at the box office. While I was doing 'Pulan Visaaranai,' I suffered another setback, but of a different type. Luckily 'Pulan Visaaranai' became a hit and I overcame the difficulty. With my 100th 'Captain Prabhaakaran' clicking in a big way, I was finally accepted by the industry.

Now I've reached a point where I can carry the entire film on my shoulder.

Q: Was it true that at one point of time in your career, many heroines refused to act with you?

A: Yes. During the making of 'Saatchi' and 'Paarvayin Maru Pakkam' almost all the heroines refused to act with me because I was a flop hero. Ironically, the same heroines acted with me later when I became a hit. I understood this industry well only during the bad phases.

Q: Is it to wreak vengeance on them that in your films now heroines are used as mere glamour dolls?

A: I am not that avenging type at all. I don't agree that in all my films the heroines are mere glamour dolls. In some films, yes, they are. But there were such films as 'Poonthotta Kaavalkaaran,' 'Chinna Gounder' and 'Amman Koil Kizhakkaale' where the heroines had equal importance. In 'En Aasai Machchaan,' the climax was completely centred on Revathi.

In my films, heroines are treated with dignity. You can never come across vulgar dance movements, embarrassingly intimate love scenes or double entendres. Only 'Pathavi Pramaanam' had an overdoze of sex and that film failed.

Q: Radhika and you made a hit pair. Did your personal rift with Radhika make any difference to your career?

A: Not at all. I have given hits with other heroines, Radha, Revathi, Sukanya and so on.

Q: You have so far not acted under noted directors except Bharathiraaja whose film with you flopped. You have not approached them even for your home productions. Instead, you prefer fresh Film Institute students. Is it because you want to dominate your directors?

A: Time was when I approached every top director, begging for a role. Now I consider all my directors as big. Most of my films have been directed by Chandrashekar, Rama Narayanan and Sundarrajan. I have struggled and come up to this level on my own. I know what it is to struggle. So in my own productions, I give opportunities to directors who are going through a lean phase.

I don't reject a director outright just because he has given a string of flops. Hits and flops are not in our hands. I prefer Film Institute students because they not only come up with fresh ideas but are flexible and receptive to our suggestions.

Q: While some of your earlier films propagated leftist ideas, your recent films and your off-screen activities suggest that you are interested in entering politics. Are you?

A: My 'Sivappu Malli' and 'Auto Driver' had overtones of communist ideology. I believe in communist ideology. I organised a felicitation function for (DMK leader and Tamil Nadu chief minister) M Karunanidhi as I am an admirer of his scholarship and erudition. I am a DMK sympathiser, but politics is farthest from my mind. I did not even go for electioneering.

Q: The trend is now changing. How long are you going to play the role of an avenging cop?

A: You are asking this question just because a few love stories have clicked at the box office. Film trends change every 6 months.

Q: You are still a hero of the masses. Why are you not making efforts to cater to the class?

A: I agree. I am more popular in the rural areas down south. But some of my major hits have done well in 'A' centres also.

Q: Despite the hoopla that preceded it, your 125th film, 'Ulavuthurai,' did not do as well as expected. What went wrong?

A: I think we were too excited that it was my 125th film and went on adding things not necessary for the film. Thereby the film lost its edge. Technically it is a brilliant film and it is the first Tamil film shot under water. We should not have killed the heroine in the first half, and that I think was a major mistake. Still the film did well down south.

Q: What are your future films?

A: I never plan my future. Right not I am working for 'Dharma,' a sentimental story. In the next film, I am doing a double role, of father and son.

Q: Is it your love for Tamil that prevents you from acting in other language films?

A: I am a great lover of Tamil. I am not shrewd enough to pick up other languages and I feel it is meaningless to act in a film without knowing the language. I am happy and contented being an exclusive Tamil actor.

Settled in an invincible slot

Vijayakanth has experienced a spate of successes in recent times. SUDHA UMASHANKER profiles the actor, who talks about his acting assignments and future plans.

ACTOR VIJAYAKANTH'S ``Simhasanam'' which follows close on the heels of the two other hits ``Vallarasu'' and ``Vanathai Polay'', couldn't have had a better title, for the star seems to be in an unassailable position.

Careerwise, he has created a slot for himself, and as the recently elected president of the South Indian Artistes Association, he has got his act together and is ready to get down to business.

The lukewarm response to ``Simhasanam'' in the A centres has not fazed him. ``The city reports weren't so good but the B and C centres are doing better. I felt the latter half would appeal to female audiences. Graphics became a little weak in some of the emotional scenes but the second half is very neat,'' he points out.

As for ``Vallarasu'' and ``Vanathai Polay'', the stories were good.

After a long time we have had functions to celebrate a successful run. This seems to be a good year for cinema. ``Alaipayuthey'' and ``Kandukondain'' will follow suit, he predicts adding that if the Government controls cable TV, it will be better for cinema.

In his over two decade-long acting career with around 133 films to his credit, ``Puratchi Kalaignar'' Vijayakanth reckons about 40 have been memorable and the rest commercial.

Those that stand out in his memory include ``Captain Prabhakaran'', ``Chinna Gounder,'' ``Maanagara Kaval,'' ``Ninaivae Oru Sangeetham,'' ``Sendoorapandi,'' ``Alexander,'' ``Periyanna,'' ``Kannupada Poguthaiya,'' ``Amman Koil Kizhakaale,'' ``En Aasai Machan,'' ``Oomai Vizhikal,'' and ``Poonthotta Kavalkaran,'' among others.

Are the man-of-the-masses type of roles that he is donning of late, a deliberate choice to cultivate his image?

``More than my choosing them, only such roles are offered to me. People who script these roles do so knowing me. If they try to boost something that's non-existent, people won't accept me in such roles.''

``I have not been offered love stories. Many of my films - ``Sattam Our Iruttarai,'' ``Saathikku Oru Neethi,'' and ``Sivappu Malli'' deal with social themes. If you take ``Dhoorathu Idi Muzhakkam'', it is about the conflict between Aathikam (theism) and Naathikam (atheism), a progressive theme.''

Over the years, Vijayakanth has played various roles. To start with, he was the villain in a few films - ``Inikkum Ilamai,'' and ``Samanthipoo'' and then graduated to become an action hero. And then when he was branded an action hero ``Vaidehi Kathirunthal'' happened under the direction of R. Sundararajan, which proved that he could do both sentimental roles and action subjects.

Has he shone as an action hero or as a character artiste?

``Both have been successful and well accepted. ``Vanathai Polay'' was totally a family subject. ``Vallarasu'' was more action- oriented. In ``Vaidehi Kathirundhal'', I played a soft role. I try to cash in on the subject offered''.

``If it does not turn out well I do it differently next time round. I always like to weave in a message. I feel I have a right to talk about the things that have made an impact on me.''

``I don't get too involved in my films. I just listen to the story - the director is there''.

``If I feel something is wrong I say so. If am asked to compromise I go along. I am not too stubborn. I don't concentrate on songs or comedy but only on the other aspects of the film and on the message.''

He is fully aware that the B and C centres are where his market is, but he hasn't given up efforts to woo the A centres too. ``It's our desire to attract all audiences.'' The problem according to him is that sometimes stories that are appealing when narrated develop weak spots when filmed.

With some films the reviews may give a certain verdict but the public feedback may be different. But his prime concern is that the distributors shouldn't lose money.

Vijayakanth's is not one of those career graphs that have had a meteoric rise nor has he registered a steady upward climb.

Ups and downs have been very much a part of his professional life. And he has had to face disappointment right at the start of his career. After completing high school, he was overseeing the running of a rice mill in Madurai when a distributor (Senapathy Films) made him an offer and asked if he would act. ``I sent a few stills across and did some acting for a company but I wasn't called back''.

``Later I got in touch with them and was told they had found a replacement for me because I couldn't speak Tamil. I was furious that they could even say that a person from Madurai couldn't speak Tamil and resolved to stay back and make a name for myself.'' ``Inikkum Ilamai'' under the baton of M.A. Kaja followed. However, it was not until he did S.A. Chandrasekhar's ``Sakshi'' that his career stabilised.

``Competition was stiff when I entered the industry. Satyaraj and I knocked on the doors of so many companies and gave acting demos, though we didn't struggle as much as Sivaji Ganesan and others, who did mythological roles donning heavy costumes. Today we are waging a battle against television. But the people who have come in after us are noticed in ads and are offered roles.''

He has no pretensions about how he improved his acting abilities. ``I have watched films by the dozen, even four a day. I have improved my acting by learning from my mistakes. And then there is feedback from family and friends. Once a mistake is corrected something else could go wrong. You never reach a stage where you can say `I have corrected all the flaws, I have acted well.''

As president of the South Indian Artistes Association, his immediate attention is focussed on finding ways to raise funds to repay the Rs. 4-crore loan that has accumulated and create a corpus. If all the stars come together, he believes this is possible. There has been a lot of speculation about whether he will enter politics as his fan club flag has found its way into his films.

``I haven't thought about politics. I didn't expect to come into cinema. When I did, I came in thinking I would become a villain but my career took a different turn. If I am destined to come into politics, I will enter. Now all my attention is on my career. I have to consolidate my success.''

Actress Sadha in kannada remake of Thavasi

Sadha who had paired with R K in Puli Vesham has completed the film and has been signed for a Kannada film titled Mallikarjuna. This film is the remake of the Tamil film Thavasi which had Vijayakanth in the lead role.

Sadha will be doing the role which Soundarya did in the Tamil version. Since her debut Kannada film titled Mohini did not do well at the box office, the Kannada film industry stayed away from her because she was unlucky.

She was away from Kannada film industry for the past four years. At this point of time she got the opportunity to act with Shiva Rajkumar in a Kannada film titled Milari. She used this opportunity and acted in it.

When she was thinking what would be her next after completing Puli Vesham, she got the opportunity in Mallikarjuna. This has given her happiness and is also expecting that more offers would knock her door.

சென்னை-தி.நகர் மீனாட்சி கல்யாண மண்டபம்; (விகடன்) பயிற்சி முகாமின் முதல் நாள். ‘சிறப்பு அழைப்பாளரோடு சந்திப்பு’ என சஸ்பென்ஸ் வைத்தபோது, வருவது யாரோ என ஆவலும் எதிர்பார்ப்புமாக அமர்ந் திருந்தார்கள் மாணவர்கள். சரியாக ஆறேகால் மணிக்கு மண்டபத்துக் குள் எந்தவித பந்தாவும் இல்லாமல் நுழைந்த அந்தப் பிரபலம்- தே.மு.தி.க. தலைவர் விஜயகாந்த். விகடன் இதழ்களின் மூத்த பத்திரிகையாளர்கள் மூன்று பேருடன், மாணவ நிருபர்களும் கேள்விச் சரம் தொடுக்க... பேட்டி உற்சாக வெடியாக வெடித்தது.


‘‘சினிமாவிலும் அரசியலிலும் இழந்ததும் பெற்றதும் என்ன?’’

‘‘நடிகனாக இருக்கும்போது சேர்த்தது பேரு, புகழ், காசு, பணம். அதில் வெற்றியும் இருக்கு, தோல்வியும் இருக்கு! ஆனால், அரசியலில் இழந்ததுதான் அதிகம். என்னை நம்பி சினிமாவில்

இருக்கும் விநியோகஸ்தர்களிடம் ‘விஜயகாந்த் படத்தை வாங்காதீர்கள்’ என்று தடை போட்டார்கள். படத்தை ரிலீஸ் செய்ய முடியாதபடி தியேட்டர் உரிமையாளர்களுக்கு நெருக்கடி கொடுத்தார்கள்.

அறிவாலயத்தில், முன்பக்கம் தி.மு.க. கட்சி அலுவலகம், பின்னால் கல்யாண மண்டபம் என இருக்கிறது. அறிவாலயம் மாதிரி எனக்கும் திருமண மண்டபமும் கட்சி அலுவலகமும் ஒன்றாக அமைந்தது. அது பொறுக்காமல் மண்டபத்தை இடித்தார்கள். ‘ஒரு இடத்தில்கூட வெற்றி பெற முடியாது’ என்று இகழ்ந்தவர்கள், 8.38 சதவிகிதம் ஓட்டு வாங்கியதும் என்னைக் கூட்டணிக்குள் இழுக்க முயற்சித்தார்கள். இடையில் ஒருமுறை கலைஞரைப் பார்க்கப் போனேன். ‘விஜயகாந்த் தடுமாறுகிறார்’ என்று அதுவேகூட செய்தியானது. ஆனால், நான் போன விஷயம் வேறு! போன இடத்தில் மண்டபம் பற்றியும் பேச்சு வந்தது; அவ்வளவுதான்! ஒருவேளை, நான் தி.மு.க-வோடு கூட்டணி வைத்திருந்தால் மண்டபத்தை விட்டிருப்பார்கள்!’’

‘‘ஊழலை ஒழிப்பேன் என்கிறீர்கள். ஆனால், மதுரை இடைத்தேர்தலில் வாக்காளர்களிடம் அரசியல் வாதிகள் பணம் கொடுத்தால் வாங்கிக்குங்கன்னு சொல்றீங்களே?’’

‘‘இதுவே பொதுத் தேர்தலாக இருந்தால், இன்னும்கூட வாங்குங்கன்னு சொல்லியிருப்பேன். மக்களின் பணத்தைக் கொள்ளை அடித்தவர் கள், இப்போது அந்தப் பணத்தில் ஒரு சிறு பகுதியை திருப்பிக் கொடுக்கிறார்கள். அதனால்தான் ‘ஆயிரம், ரெண்டாயிரம்னு வாங்காதீங்க; ஐந்து வருஷத்துக்கு கணக்கு பண்ணி மொத்தமாக பெரிய தொகையா பேசி வாங்குங்க’ என்றேன். நான் லஞ்சத்துக்கும் ஊழலுக்கும் எப்போதும் எதிரானவன்தான். மதுரையில் நடந்த பண பேரத்தை ஆதாரத்தோடு வீடியோ எடுத்து, தேர்தல் கமிஷனர் நரேஷ் குப்தாவிடம் கொடுத்தது நான்தான்!’’

‘‘எப்போதும் இரண்டாவது, மூன்றாவது இடத்திலேயே இருந்தால், உங்களை நம்பி இருப்பவர்கள் சோர்வடைந்துவிடுவார்களே... கூட்டணி சேரும் திட்டம் உண்டா?’’

‘‘நானாக யாருடனும் கூட்டணிக்குப் போக மாட்டேன். அவர்களாக வந்து சேர்ந்தால் பார்ப்போம்..!’’

‘‘உங்க லாஜிக் புரியலையே?’’

‘‘அவங்க வர மாட்டாங்கன்னு தெரியும். இருந்தாலும் ச்சும்மா விடுறதுதான். அப்படி நான் சொன்னா தானே உங்களுக்குச் செய்தி (சிரிக்கிறார்)! என்னைப் போலவே தனித் தனியா எல்லா கட்சிகளும் நிற்கட்டும். அப்போ தெரியும், என் பலம் என்ன என்று! மதுரையில், காங்கிரஸ் போன தடவையைவிட இந்த முறை 7,000 ஓட்டு அதிகமா வாங்கியிருக்கு. அதுக்கு 15 கோடி ரூபாய் செலவாகியிருக்கு. இந்த 15 கோடியையும் தொகுதியோட நன்மைக்குச் செலவு செய்திருந்தால், விஜயகாந்த் பற்றி பயப்படவே வேண்டாமே! ஜெயலலிதாவும் கருணாநிதியும் நிஜமாகவே மக்களுக்கு நல்லது பண்ணியிருந்தா, விஜயகாந்த் என்கிற ஒருத்தன் வரவேண்டிய அவசியமே இல்லையே?’’

‘‘மற்றவர்களைக் குடும்ப அரசியல் என்று விமர்சிக்கும் உங்கள் கட்சியிலும் உறவுக்காரர்கள் ஆதிக்கம் செலுத்துவதாகக் கூறப்படுகிறதே? உங்கள் மைத்துனரின் கையில்தான் கட்சி இருப்பதாக சொல்லப்படுகிறதே?’’

‘‘நீங்கள் நல்லதைப் பார்க்க மறுக்கிறீர்கள்; கெட்டதை மட்டும் தோண்டி எடுத்து என்னிடம் கேட்கி றீர்கள். நான் கட்சி துவங்கும்போதே, என் மைத்துனரும் மனைவியும் அதில் உறுப்பினர்கள். அவர்கள் படித்தவர்கள் என்பதால், அவர்களிடம் சில பொறுப்பு களைக் கொடுத்திருக்கிறேன். மற்றபடி கட்சி ரீதியான முடிவுகளை நிர்வாகிகள் தான் எடுக்கிறார்கள். மாவட்டவாரியாக நடக்கிற விஷயங்களைத் தனித்தனி ஃபைலாகப் போட்டு என் பார்வைக்கு அனுப்பிக்கொண்டே இருக்கிறார்கள். அதையெல்லாம் பார்த்துதான் முடிவுகள் எடுக்கப்படுகின்றன.’’

‘‘விவசாயிகள் பிரச்னை நாளுக்கு நாள் அதிகரித்து வருகிறது. உங்கள் விவசாயக் கொள்கை என்ன?’’

‘‘விவசாயத்தை மேம்படுத்த என்னென்ன வழிமுறைகள் உண்டோ, அவ்வளவையும் இதய சுத்தியோடு ஆராய்ஞ்சு செயல்படுத்த முனையணும். விவசாயத்துக்கு மானியம் அதிகமா கொடுக்கணும். ஆனா, இங்கே என்ன நடக்குது? விவசாயிகள் நம்ம நாட்டின் முதுகெலும்புன்னு சொல்லிக்கிட்டே, அந்த முதுகெலும்பை உடைக்கிற வேலையைத்தான் நம்ம அரசியல்வாதிகள் செய்துட்டிருக்காங்க. நதிகளை இணைக்கணும்னு தன்னோட சட்டமன்றப் பொன்விழா மேடையில் கலைஞர் பேசினாரே... பிரதமர், சோனியா முன்னாடி மேடையில் வேண்டுகோள் வெச்சுட்டா மட்டும் போதுமா? நினைக்கிறப்ப எல்லாம் அவங்களோட போன்ல பேச முடிகிற ஒருத்தர், இப்படி மேடையில் பேசிவிட்டுத் தன் கடமையைக் கழிச் சுக்கிறது சுத்த ஹம்பக்கா தெரியலையா?’’

‘‘குடும்பத் தலைவர், நடிகர், கட்சித் தலைவர்... இந்த மூன்றில் எது சந்தோஷமானது? ஏதாவது, ஒன்றை மட்டும்தான் சொல்லணும்?’’

‘‘சாதிக்கணும்னு நினைக்கிறவனுக்கு எல்லாமே சந்தோஷம்தான். சினிமா, குடும்பம், அரசியல் இந்த மூன்றுமே எனக்கு முக்கியம்தான். என் மனைவி என்னைவிடப் படிச்சவங்க. என் வெற்றிக்குப் பின்னால இருக்கிறவங்க அவங்கதான். நான் சோர்ந்து போகும் போதெல்லாம் அவங்கதான் என்னைத் தூக்கி நிறுத்தியிருக்காங்க. வீட்டுக்குப் போனால், நான் குடும்பத் தலைவன். ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமைகள்ல நான் ஷூட்டிங்ல கலந்துக்கிறது கிடையாது. அது என் குழந்தைகளுக்கான நாள். வீட்டில் இருக்கும்போது சினிமாவை மறந்துவிடுவேன்; சினிமாவில் இருக்கும்போது அரசியலை மறந்துவிடுவேன்!’’

பேட்டியை முடித்துக்கொண்டு, மாணவர்களின் உற்சாக வழியனுப்புதலோடு விடைபெற்றார் விஜயகாந்த். கிளம்பும்போது நம்மிடம், ‘‘இளைய தலைமுறையினரிடம் இத்தனை நேரம் பேசிக்கொண்டு இருந்தது எனக்குள் புது ரத்தம் பாய்ச்சிய மாதிரி இருக்கு. ‘எனது கனவு ஒரு நாள், ஒரு பொழுது, இன்று இல்லாவிட்டால் நாளை அல்லது மறுநாள் விடியும்’ என்றார் கறுப்பு இன மக்கள் தலைவர் மார்ட்டின் லூதர் கிங். இந்த இளைஞர்களுடன் பேசி, அவர்களின் கருத்துக்களை நேரடியாகக் கேட்டு அறிந்துகொண்டதில், புதுத் தெம்பு கிடைச்சிருக்கு; அவர் சொன்ன அந்த வரும் காலம் எனக்கு வந்தாச்சு என்ற நம்பிக்கை வேர் விட்டிருக்கு! என்ன பிரச்னைகள் எதிர்ப்பட்டாலும் தலைவணங்கப் போவதில்லை என்கிற என் உறுதியான முடிவும் மேலும் வலுப்பட்டு இருக்கு!’’ என்று புன்னகையோடு அழுத்தமாக நம் கைகளைப் பற்றிக் குலுக்கி விடைபெற்றார் விஜயகாந்த்.[/tscii:ac6ada9489]

DMDK goes global,sets up unit in UAE

Chennai: Not only Tamil films are released abroad,even political parties in Tamil Nadu seem to have been smitten by the desire to reach out to the overseas market.
Actor-politician Vijayakanth announced that a unit of his party,DMDK,has been constituted in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).He also appointed office-bearers,including secretary,presidium chairman and treasurer,for the unit and urged the functionaries to take necessary steps for the efficient functioning of the DMDK in Dubai which has a sizeable chunk of Tamil population.
A senior DMDK leader said there were a large number of followers for Vijayakanth in Dubai who wanted to float a unit of the party there.
The unit will basically serve as a welfare organisation and will help to resolve the problems of Tamil workers in Dubai, he said.
The DMDK,launched in 2005,also has units in places like Mumbai and Delhi.While the trend of political parties in Tamil Nadu to have units in other states is nothing new,this is the first time that a party is claiming to have a unit in one of the Gulf countries which are not exactly known for much of political activity.
The opposition AIADMK is present in Kerala,Maharashtra and Karnataka,besides Puducherry.Followers of late AIADMK founder M G Ramachandran started a unit in Sri Lanka several years ago.
The DMK also boasts of units in neighbouring states and in Maharashtra.Both the parties contest elections occasionally in these states and draw their support from Tamil population.
MGR had drawn some derisive comments when he renamed his party originally started as Anna DMK as s All India ADMK but the name has come to stay.The AIADMK also has MGR fans forum called All World MGR Fans Association.

சத்யராஜ் பிடித்த சமாதானக் கொடி

வடிவேலுவின் கொடும்பாவி நாகர்கோவிலில் எரிக்கப்படுகிறது. தேமுதிக அலுவலகம் கோவையில் சூறையாடப்படுகிறது. இப்படி ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் மோதல் உச்சக்கட்டத்தை அடைந்து கொண்டிருக்கிறது. பிரச்சனை தலை தூக்குவதற்கு முன்பே வெள்ளைக் கொடியை பறக்க விட்டு விட வேண்டும் என்று நினைத்த சில நல்ல உள்ளங்களுக்கு இந்த மோதல் அதிர்ச்சியை அளித்திருக்கிறது.

விருதகிரி எப்போ?
தொடரும் சஞ்சலங்கள்!

'அது சரி அண்ணாச்சி... விருதகிரி என்னாச்சு' என்று விஜயகாந்த் ரசிகர்களே முனகுகிற அளவுக்கு படு ஸ்பீடாக(?) வளர்ந்து வருகிறது படம். இந்த நிலையில் விருதகிரியை தீபாவளிக்கு கொண்டு வருவதா? தேர்தல் நேரத்தில் கொண்டு வருவதா? என்ற குழப்பம் நிலவி வருகிறதாம் கேப்டன் வட்டாரத்தில்.

இந்த தீபாவளிக்கு பெரிய நடிகர்களின் படங்கள் ஒன்றிரண்டுதான். தனுஷ் நடித்த உத்தம புத்திரன், சூர்யாவின் ரத்த சரித்திரா இரண்டும் தவிர அர்ஜுனின் வல்லக்கோட்டை! அப்புறம் பெரிய படம் என்று சொல்லும்படி எதுவுமே இல்லை. இந்த சந்தர்ப்பத்தை விடக் கூடாது என்கிறாராம் தயாரிப்பாளர் சுதீஷ்.

அதிலும் ரத்தசரித்திரா வன்முறை படம் என்பதை சூர்யாவின் ஸ்டில்களே நிருபித்து வருகிறது. (காண்டாமிருக சூப் குடிச்ச மாதிரி எப்பவும் இந்த தம்பி முறைச்சுகிட்டேயிருக்கே என்றார் டீக்கடையில் ஒரு பெரிசு) சென்ட்டிமென்ட், ஆக்ஷன் என்று கலந்து கட்டிய விருதகிரி இந்த நேரத்தில் வெளியிடப்பட்டால் அது ரத்த சரித்திராவை மிஞ்சும் என்பது விருதகிரி படம் தொடர்பானவர்களின் நம்பிக்கை.

ஆனால் படத்தில் வைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கும் அரசியல் 'பஞ்ச்' அம்மாவையும், ஐயாவையும் ஒரே நேரத்தில் சீண்டுவது போல இருக்கிறதாம். கூட்டணி முடிவாகும் முன் இந்த படத்தை வெளியிட்டால் அது தேர்தல் நேரத்தில் சங்கடத்தை ஏற்படுத்தக் கூடும் என்பதால் சற்று தள்ளிப் போடலாம் என்கிறாராம் கேப்டன்.

Over the weekend caught couple of scenes and the ending of Nalla Naal.

1. VK & Thiyagarajan when the latter was in his hey days as hero. Naturally a terrible actor who begotten another terrible actor, VK shined all the way.
2. Caught only Puthu Tanthanattom & and a tiruvizha song that I forgot. IR not at his best.
3. Typical 80s revenge flick (with 2 rape scenes in the package).
4. Slightly before climax an interesting fight scene between VK, RT aaanddd....a tiger. The tiger won. Haha who am I kidding, though I wish it had really eaten RT and made 90s a better film watching experience.

நடிகர் விஜயகாந்த் அரசியலுக்கு வந்தது ஏன்?- வெளிவராத `பிளாஷ்பேக்’ தகவல்கள்

நிருபர்கள் “நீங்கள் அரசியலுக்கு வரப்போகிறீர்களா?” என்று பரபரப்புக்காக விஜயகாந்த்திடம் 1996-ல் ஒரு கேள்வி கேட்டார்கள்.

“நான் ஏன் அரசியலுக்கு வர பயப்பட வேண்டும். காலம் அழைத்தால் வந்து விட்டு போகிறேன்” என்று கேசுவலாக பதில் சொன்னார் விஜயகாந்த்.

இதன் பிறகு கடந்த 10 ஆண்டுகளாக நிருபர்கள் இந்தக் கேள்வியை சுமார் 100 முறை கேட்டு விட்டார்கள்.

இன்றைய சூழ்நிலையில் தமிழக அரசியலில் விஜயகாந்தின் தே.மு.தி.க.வும் தவிர்க்க முடியாத ஒரு கட்சியாகி விட்டது.

ஆறு கோடி ஜனங்களும், அனைத்துக் கட்சி தலைவர்களும், உளவுத் துறையும் தே.மு.தி.க. வளர்ச்சி மீது ஒரு கண் வைத்தபடியே இருக்கிறார்கள்.

விஜயகாந்த்தின் அரசியல் `என்ட்ரி’க்கும், அவரது `பிளாஷ் பேக்’ வாழ்விற்கும் நிறைய தொடர்புகள் இருக்கிறது.

விஜயகாந்த்தின் தந்தை அழகர் சாமிக்கு சொந்த ஊர் அருப்புக்கோட்டை அருகே உள்ள ராமானுஜபுரம்.

அழகர்சாமி-ஆண்டாள் தம்பதிகளுக்கு 2 மகன், 2 மகள்கள். முதலாமவர் விஜயலட்சுமி, அடுத்தவர் நாகராஜ், மூன்றாவது விஜயராஜ், அதற்கடுத்தவர் திருமலாதேவி.

மேற்கண்ட விஜயராஜிற்கு டைரக்டர் எம்.ஏ. காஜா வைத்த பெயர் தான் “விஜயகாந்த்”.

கடைக்குட்டி பெண்ணான திருமலாதேவி பிறந்த 20-வது நாளில் தாயார் ஆண்டாள் இறந்து விட, உற்றார் -உறவின ரின் கட்டாயத்தின் பேரில் அழகர்சாமிக்கு ருக்மணியம் மாள் என்பவருடன் 2-வது திரு மணம் நடந்தது. இவர்க ளுக்கு 7 குழந்தைகள்.

இவர்கள் அனைவருமே மதுரை மேலமாசி வீதியில் சவுராஷ்டிரா செக்கடி சந்தில் உள்ள ஒரு வீட்டில் கூட்டுக் குடும்பமாக வசித்தார்கள்.

சிறு வயது விஜயகாந்த் மிகவும் சேஷ்டைக்காரர். எப்பொழுதும் தன்னைச்சுற்றி 10 பேருடன் உலா வரும் விஜய காந்த் படித்தது 10-ம் வகுப்பு வரை தான்.

இதையே அவர் மதுரை புனித ஜோசப் பள்ளி, தெப்பக் குளத்தில் உள்ள ஆர்.சி. ரோசரி சர்ச் பள்ளி, மதுரை ரெயில் நிலையம் அருகில் உள்ள “மெஜுரா காலேஜ் ஆப் ஸ்கூல்”, தேவ கோட்டை அரசு உயர்நிலைப்பள்ளி, நாடார் வித்யாசாலை உயர் நிலைப் பள்ளி, விக்கிரமசிங்க புரம் செயின்ட் மேரீஸ் பள்ளி ஆகிய 6 இடங்களில் படித்து கரை சேர்ந் திருக்கிறார்.

சிறிய `புரஜக்டர்’ ஒன்றை வீட்டில் வைத்துக் கொண்டு அக்கம், பக்கத்து சிறுவர்களிடம் `நாலணா’ டிக்கெட் வாங்கி `மகாதேவி’ படத்தை ஓட்டுவதில் தான் ஆர்வம் இருந்ததே தவிர விஜயகாந்த்திற்கு படிப்பில் துளியும் அக்கறை இல்லை.

பள்ளிக்கூடத்தை `கட்’ அடித்து விட்டு நண்பர்களுடன் சேர்ந்து எம்.ஜி.ஆர்.நடித்த உலகம் சுற்றும் வாலிபனை இரண்டே நாளில் ஐந்து முறை பார்த்திருக்கிறார்.

அப்பாவின் ரைஸ்மில்லில் அரிசி திருடி விற்று காசாக்கி வடை, பிஸ்கெட், புரோட்டா என்று விளாசியிருக்கிறார்.

செத்த பாம்பை வாத்தி யாரின் இருக்கையில் வைத்து அவரை `ஓ’ வென அலற வைத்திருக்கிறார்.

நள்ளிரவு தெருக்கூத்தை பார்க்கப் போய் நடனம் ஆடுபவர் மீது `நல்லா இருடா’ என்று முட்டை-தக்காளியை வீசியிருக்கிறார்.

இதற்கெல்லாம் விஜயகாந்தின் முக்கிய கூட்டாளியாக இருந்தவர் இப்போதைய இப்ராகிம் ராவுத்தர் தான்! எந்தச் சேஷ்டை செய்தாலும் இருவரும் இணை பிரியாமல் செய்வது தான் வழக்கம்.

இப்ராகிம் ராவுத் தரின் வீடு மதுரை வெத்தலைப் பேட்டையில் இருந்தது. அவரது தந்தை வெத்தலை கமிஷன் மண்டி வைத்திருந்தார்.

இது பற்றி விஜயகாந்த் சொல்கிறார்.

“அப்பவெல்லாம் படிப்பு பத்தியோ, எதிர்காலம் பத்தியோ நாங்க சிந்திக்க மாட்டோம். எம்.ஜி.ஆர். படம் பார்க்கணும்ங்கிறதத் தவிர வேற எதுவும் தெரியாது. என் பள்ளி வாழ்க்கையில நான் இங்கிலீசையும், சயின்சையும் படிச்சதே இல்லை. நாம் தான் சரியா படிக்கலை.

படிச்சு முன்னேற விரும்பு ஏழை மாணவர்களுக்காவது உதவணும். அவங்க படிச்சு பட்டம் வாங்கினா….நானே படிச்சு வாங்குன மாதிரிங்கிற எண்ணத்தில தான் என்னால முடிஞ்ச அளவு படிப்புக்கு உதவுகிறேன்” என்கிறார் அவர்.

தாயில்லாத பிள்ளை என் பதால் விஜயகாந்த் செய்யும் இந்தச் சேஷ்டைகளை கண்டு கொள்ளாமலேயே வளர்த்து வந்தார் அழகர்சாமி.

இளம் வயது விஜயகாந்த் திற்கு இரண்டு முறை காதல் அனுபவம் ஏற்பட்டிருக்கிறது.

அப்போதெல்லாம் விஜய காந்த் கூட்டாளிகள் ஒன்றாகச் சந்திப்பது இப் போதைய தே.மு.தி.க. பொதுச் செயலாளரான ராமு வசந்த னின் வீடு இருக்கும் மதுரை மேல ஆவணி வீதியில் தான்!

இங்குள்ள சேனாஸ் பிலிம்ஸ் என்ற சினிமா கம்பெனி அருகே தான் அரட்டைக்கச்சேரி நடக்கும்.

இந்த தெருவில் உள்ள ஒரு வீட்டு ஜன்னலில் தற்செயலாக தெரிந்த ஒரு பெண்ணை `சைட்’ அடித்து, ஜாடை காட்டி, ஒருவரை ஒருவர் காதலிக் கவும் ஆரம்பித்தனர்.

இந்த விவகாரம் இரு வீட்டு பெற்றோருக்கும் தெரிந்து முடிவில் அந்தப் பெண்ணின் வீட்டார் வீட்டைக்காலி செய்து விட்டே போய் விட்டனர்.

இதன் பிறகு அமெரிக்கன் கல்லூரியில் படித்த ஒரு பெண்ணை காதலித்து, அவருக்கு பின்னாடியே அலைந்து திரிந்து கடைசியில் “காதலிச்சு திருமணம் செஞ்சா என் தங்கச்சி வாழ்க்கை பாதிக்கும்” என்று அவள் டாட்டா காட்டி விட்டு போனது, விஜயகாந்த் சினிமா நட்சத்திரமான பிறகு அவளே தேடி வந்ததெல்லாம் ஒரு குறும்படக் கதை.

இப்படியெல்லாம் சேஷ்டை கள் செய்து கொண்டிருந்த விஜயகாந்த்தை “நீ படிச்சு, கிழிச்சது போதும் இனிமே ரைஸ் மில்லை கவனி” என்று அழகர்சாமி பிரம்பால் அடித்து பின்னி எடுத்த இந்த இடத்தில் “இடைவேளை” விட்டு, விஜயகாந் தின் அதிரடி ஆக்ஷன் இனி

தொடர்கிறது.விஜயகாந்த்தின் ரைஸ்மில் வாழ்க்கை காலை 6 மணிக்கு எழுந்து, இரவு 8 மணி வரை அரிசி விற்பது, விலை நிர்ணயம் செய்வது, மூட்டைகளை மாற்றுவது, நெல்லைக் கிண்டுவது, வெளியே சென்று பணம் வசூலிப்பது என வேலை `டைட்’ ஆகிவிட்டது. இதே சமயத் தில் இப்ராகிம் ராவுத்தரும் வெத்தலை கமிஷன் மண்டியை கவனிக்க ஆரம்பித்து விட்டார்.

விஜயகாந்த்தை சமூக பார்வை பார்க்க வைத்தது இந்த ரைஸ்மில் தான்!

இங்கு வேலை பார்த்த பெண்களுக்கிடையே மேல்ஜாதி, கீழ்ஜாதி என்ற வேறுபாடு இருப்பது விஜயகாந்த்திற்கு தெரிய வந்தது.

இதனைக் களைவதற்கு விஜயகாந்த் ஒரு யுக்தியை கையாண்டார். கீழ் ஜாதியினர் வீட்டிலிருந்து சாப்பாடு கொண்டு வரச் செய்து சாப்பிடலானார். இதற்கு எதிர்ப்பு தெரிவித்த மேல் ஜாதி பெண்களிடம் சமாதானமாக பேசி அதுவரை தனித்தனியாக இருந்த தண்ணீர் பானையை ஒன்றாக்கினார். அனைவருமே ஒன்றாக அமர்ந்து சாப்பிடலானார்கள்.

இதே கால கட்டத்தில் தான் சினிமா ரசிகராக இருந்த விஜயகாந்த் அரசியல் களமிறங் கியதும்!

மதுரை மாநகராட்சி தேர்தல் அறிவிக்கப்பட்ட போது விஜயகாந்த்தின் தந்தை காங்கிரஸ் கட்சியின் வேட்பா ளராக கவுன்சிலர் பதவிக்கு போட்டியிட்டார்.

விஜயகாந்த்தும், அவரது அண்ணன் நாகராஜும் எம்.ஜி.ஆரின் ஆதரவாளர்கள் என்பதால் தந்தையை எதிர்த்து தி.மு.க.வுக்கு ஆதரவாக பிரசாரம் செய்தனர். சுவர்களில் எழுதுவது, கட்சி கொடியுடன் சைக்கிளில் வலம் வருவது, கலைக்குழுவுக்கு ஏற்பாடு செய்வது, மீட்டிங் நடத்தியது என கடைசியில் விஜயகாந்த்தின் அப்பா 100 ஓட்டுகள் வித்தியாசத்தில் தோற்றுப் போனார்.

இது பற்றி விஜயகாந்த் கூறும் போது “தேர்தல் முடிவு எங்க அணிக்கு வெற்றியாக இருந்தாலும் அப்பா தோத்ததும் என்னவோ போல் இருந்தது.அடுத்த தேர்தல்ல அவருக்கு ஆதரவாக இறங்கி அப்பாவை ஜெயிக்க வைச்சுட்டோம்” என்கிறார்.

விஜயகாந்த் சினிமாவுக்கு வருவதற்கும் `ஆட்டுக்கார அலமேலு’ படத்திற்கும் ஒரு தொடர்பு இருக்கிறது.

விஜயகாந்த் கோஷ்டியினர் அரட்டை அடிக்கும் இடத்திற்கு அருகே உள்ள சேனாஸ் பிலிம்ஸ் உரிமையாளர் முகம்மது மர்சூக் `ஆட்டுக்கார அலமேலு’ படத்தை வாங்கியிருந்தார். அவருக்கு போட்டியாக அதே படம் தெலுங்கில் வெளிவந்த “பொட்டேல் பொன்னம்மா”ங்கிற படத்தை மற்றொரு வினியோகஸ்தர் ரிலீஸ் செய்திருந்தார்.

இதனால் ஆட்டுக்கார அலமேலு படத்தை வெற்றி பெறச் செய்ய விஜயகாந்த்திடம் யோசனை கேட்டார் முகம்மது மர்சூக்.

“இந்த இரண்டு படத்திலேயும் நடிச்சது ஒரே ஆடு தான். அந்த ஆடு சோழவந்தான் பக்கத்துல இருக்கிற மட்டப்பாறையில தான் இருக்கு. ஆட்டுக்காரன் நம்ம நண்பன் தான். அந்த ஆட்டை அழைத்து வந்து நம்ம படம் ஓடுற தியேட்டர்களில் நிக்க வைச்சு இடைவேளை சமயத்துல சாகசங்கள் செய்ய வைக்கலாம்” என்று ஆலோசனை சொன்னார் விஜயகாந்த்.

அதன்படியே விஜயகாந்த்தும், இப்ராகிம் ராவுத்தரும் அந்த ஆட்டை பிடித்து வந்து டேப் ரெக்கார்டரை `ஆப்’ பண்றது, `ஆன்’ பண்றது என்று செய்து காட்டி மிகப்பெரிய வெற்றியை தேடித்தந்தார்கள்.

இதனால் விஜயகாந்த்தை மிகவும் பிடித்துப் போன முகமதுமர்சூக் டைரக்டர் பி.மாதவனிடம் அறிமுகம் செய்து வைத்து “இவன் என் தம்பி மாதிரி. உங்க படத்துல ஒரு நல்ல ரோல் தரணும்” என்று கேட்டுக் கொண்டார்.

101 ரூபாய் அட்வான்ஸ் வாங்கிக் கொண்டு “என் கேள்விக்கு என்ன பதில்” படத்தில் வில்லனாக 3 நாள் மட்டுமே நடித்தார். உள்பிரச்சினைகளால் விஜயகாந்த் மாற்றம் செய்யப்பட்டு சிலோன் மனோகர் நடித்து அந்தப்படம் வெளிவந்தது.

இதன் பிறகு சினிமாவில் நடிக்க விஜயகாந்த் நீண்ட நாள் போராட்டம் நடத்தியிருக்கிறார். இதே கட்டத்தில் தான் சத்யராஜும் பட வாய்ப்புகள்தேடி அலைந்தது. எனவேசினிமாவுக்கு முன்பே இருவரும் அலைந்து திரிந்ததில் நன்றாக அறிமுகம் ஆனவர்கள்.

முகமது மர்சூக் மீண்டும் விஜயாந்த்தை டைரக்டர் எம்.ஏ.காஜாவிடம் அறிமுகம் செய்து வைத்து `இனிக்கும் இளமை’ படத்தில் நடிக்க வைத்தார். இதன் பிறகு தூரத்து இடி முழக்கத்தில் கதாநாயகன் ஆனார்.

இருந்த போதிலும் தொடர்ந்து வந்த பல படங்கள் தோல்விக்குள்ளாகி விஜயகாந்த் முடங்கிப்போனார்.

சுந்தர்ராஜனின் திருப்பு முனை இயக்கத்தில் வைதேகி காத்திருந்தாளை தொடர்ந்து அம்மன் கோயில் கிழக்காலே, பூந்தோட்டக்காவல்காரன், நினைவே ஒரு சங்கீதம், வானத்தை போல ஆகிய படங்கள் பெண் ரசிகர்களையும் கவர்ந்தன.

வல்லரசு, ரமணா படங்கள் மிகப்பெரிய ஆக்ஷன் படங்களாக அமைந்தன. விஜயகாந்த் சொல்கிறார்.

என் வாழ்க்கையில் நிறைய வெற்றி, தோல்விகளை சந்தித்து விட்டேன். என் ரசிகர்கள் பெரும்பாலும் வறுமைக் கோட்டுக்கு கீழே உள்ளவங்க தான். ஆனா கடுமையான உழைப்பாளிகள். அவங்களுக்கு வாழ்க்கை மேல ஒரு நம்பிக்கையும், தைரியமும் ஏற்படுத்தும் வகையிலான கதைகளைத்தான் தேர்ந்தெடுத்து நடிக்கிறேன். லட்சக்கணக்கான எனது ரசிகர்கள் மூலமா நாட்டுக்கு நல்லது செய்ய முடியும் என்கிற உத்வேகம் தான் என்னைத் தானாகவே அரசியலுக்கு இழுத்து வந்து விட்டது. எனக்கு தெரிந்தது கடின உழைப்பு ஒன்று மட்டும் தான்” என்கிறார்.

விஜயகாந்த்தின் விக்ரம சிங்கபுரம் செயின்ட் மேரிஸ் பள்ளி வகுப்பு டீச்சரான “ஸ்டான்லிஜாண்” சொல்கிறார்.

விஜயராஜா படு சேஷ் டைக்கார மாணவன். சினிமாவில் அவன்செய்யும் காமெடி மாரியே பள்ளி வாழ்க்கையிலும் செய்திருக் கிறான்.

ஒரு முறை நாங்கள் எல்லாம் உலகத்தமிழ் மாநாட்டை பார்ப்பதற்காக சென்னைக்கு `டூர்’ புறப்பட்டோம். ரெயில் பயணம் செய்த போது விஜய ராஜா யாருக்கும் தெரியாமல் அபாய சங்கிலியை பிடித்து இழுத்து ரெயிலை நிறுத்தி விட்டான்.டி.டி.ஆர். இத னைக் கண்டு பிடித்து அவனி டமிருந்து ரூ. 50 அபராதமாக வசூலித்தார்.

நான் “ஏண்டா இப்படி செய்தாய்” என்று கேட்டேன்.

“நீங்க தானே சார் எதையும் ஆராய்ஞ்சு பார்த்து உண்மைய தெரிஞ்சுக்கிடணும்”னீங்க என்றான். கோபம் மறந்து அனைவரும் சிரித்து விட்டோம் என்றார்.

If a currently "famous music director"(not our maestro) had composed the music for that movie and if the same songs and tunes have been there, would you say the same thing??? ;)

I guess you would have heard the song "Cindrella"... Its better than some of the currently "most broadcasted" songs of a famous music director.

"Pookal Ethanai Vagai padum" is a good melody too!
"Jil Jil malayil" made me tap my feet when I first heard it and the theme music "Adaleru" was superbbbbbbbb and I would confidently equal it to "karka karka " theme music from Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyadu.

On the whole I would say that this is one the best of Srikanth Deva and the best of Captain of recent!

திமுகவுக்கும், அதிமுகவுக்கும் இணையாகத் தமிழகத்தில் போஸ்டர்களும் கொடிக்கம்பங்களும் அமைத்திருக்கும் ஒரே கட்சி தேமுதிகதான் போலிருக்கிறதே!
ஐம்பது வருடக் கட்சியும், முப்பத்தைந்து வருடக் கட்சியும் இப் படியொரு கலாசாரத்தை நிலைநிறுத்தி விட்டார்கள். அதை என் னால் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ள முடியவில்லைதான். இதை மாற்ற வேண்டும் என்பதிலும் எனக்கு மாற்றுக் கருத்து கிடையாது. ஆனால், அந்தக் கட்சிகளின் மீதிருக்கும் பொதுமக்களின் வெறுப்பு, இளைஞர்க ளின் கோபம் தேமுதிகவுக்கு ஆதரவாகத் திரும்பி இருக்கிறது. நீங் கள் பார்க்கும் ஒவ்வொரு தேமுதிக கொடியும், தேமுதிக பேனரும் திமுக மற்றும் அதிமுகவுக்கு எதிர்ப்பைத் தெரிவிக்க வைத்த ஒன்று என்றுதான் கருத வேண்டும். அதனால்தான் அந்த இளைஞர்களின் ஆர்வத்தை நான் குலைக்க முற்படவில்லை.

அணுசக்தி ஒப்பந்தம் விஷயத்தில் உங்களது நிலைப்பாடு, மத்திய அரசுக்கு சாதகமாக இருப்பதுபோலத் தோன்றுகிறதே?
நான் முன்பு சொன்னதுபோல, தமிழகத்தின் மின் தேவைக்கு இப்போதைக்கு அணுசக்தியை விட்டால் வழியில்லை என்கிற நிலைமை. நீர் மின்சக்திக்கும், அனல் மின்சக்திக்கும் அதிக வாய்ப்பில்லை என்பதால், தமிழகம் அணுமின்சக்தி மூலம்தான் தனது தேவையைப் பூர்த்தி செய்து கொள்ள முடியும். இந்தியாவுக்கு அணுசக்தி தேவையா என்று எனக்குத் தெரியாது. தமிழகத்துக்குத் தேவை. அத னால் அதை நான் ஆதரிக்கிறேன்.

சில விஷயங்களில் மத்திய அரசின் திட்டங்களை ஆதரிக்கிறீர்கள். சிலவற் றில் எதிர்க்கிறீர்கள். அதிமுகவை எதிர்க்கிறீர்களா, ஆதரிக்கிறீர்களா என்று தெரி யவில்லை. ஏனிந்தத் தெளிவற்ற தன்மை?
மனதுக்கு எது நியாயமோ அதை நான் பேசுகிறேன். நண்பன் என்பதற்காகக் குற்றத்தை மறைக்கவும், எதிரி என்பதற்காக நல்லதைப் பாராட்டாமல் இருக்கவும் எனக்குத் தெரியாது. என்னைப் பற்றி அதிமுக தலைவி ஜெயலலிதா என்னவெல் லாமோ சொன்னார்கள். அதற்காக, அவர்கள் மீது உரிமை மீறல் பிரச்னை கொண்டு வரும்போது நான் பேசாமல் இருப்பது எப்படி நியாயமாகும்? அதனால் எதிர்த்தேன்.

முதல்வரின் மகள் செல்வியின் வீடு தாக்கப்பட்டபோது அதைக் கண்டித்தேன். என்னைப்
பொருத்தவரை, மனசாட்சிதான் எனது கொள்கை, வழிகாட்டி எல்லாமே!

நீங்கள் திமுகவை எதிர்க்கும் அளவுக்கு அதிமுகவை எதிர்ப்பதில்லை என்று தோன்றுகிறதே?
வெறும் தோற்றம்தான். இப்போது, அதிமுக ஆட்சியில் இல்லை. திமுகதான் ஆட்சியில் இருக்கிறது. ஆட்சியாளர்களின் குறையைத்தானே நான் சுட்டிக்காட்ட முடியும்? எதிர்க்கட்சியை விமர்சனம் செய்வதில் என்ன பயன்?

அதிமுக செய்யாத எதையும் திமுக செய்துவிடவில்லை என்பதால், திமு கவை மட்டும் நீங்கள் குறை சொல்வது எப்படி நியாயம்?

இந்த அரசியல் கலாசாரத்தைக் குறுகிய காலகட்டத்தில் மாற்றிவிட முடியும் என்று நினைக்கிறீர்களா?

அதற்காக, மாற்றாமல் விட்டுவிடுவதா? இதுதான் தலையெழுத்து என்று சகித் துக் கொள்வதா? படித்தவர்கள் இப்படிப் பேசலாமா? சமுதாயம் தடம்புரள்வதை நாம் பார்த்துக் கொண்டு வாளாவிருப்பது சரியா? அதனால்தான், தேமுதிகவை மக்கள் ஆதரிக்கிறார்கள்.
