I watched the first episode today, solely for the fact Mohan Ram is there. :D
He was very good as a comedian (Dada) in one KB drama a few years ago.

The title song is a remix of old Neeye enakku endrum nigaraanavan from Bale Pandiya.

Mohanram as Maamaa is very appropriate, but sorry to say that a very bloated Pandiyarajan as Maappillai is a total miscast. Can you accept a 50+ year old man as a new groom.

I have always liked Aiswariya and find her a versatile actress. Even she has bloated here and is another misfit as a new bride. :sigh2:

The other cast are quite interesting - Balaji, Kalpana, and some yesteryear comedians.

The show was ha-ha funny not, rotfl funny.
1st episode ended with Nanbendaa :lol:

Thank you Mohanram. I am not a fan of TV serials. In fact, I hardly watch TV during weekedays, unless its Discovery/National Geography/Travel channels.

Drama serials have taken over TV completely. However a light hearted series such as this is definitely a breath of fresh air. :)

பாண்டியராஜன் இரட்டை வேடத்தில் நடிக்கும் `மாமா மாப்ளே'


ஞாயிறுதோறும் காலை 9.30 மணிக்கு சன் டிவியில் ஒளிபரப்பாகவிருக்கும் புதிய காமெடித்தொடர் `மாமா மாப்ளே'. இந்த தொடரின் மூலம் நடிகர் பாண்டியராஜன் சின்னத்திரையிலும் கால் பதிக்கிறார்.

`சின்னபாப்பா பெரிய பாப்பா' என்ற நகைச்சுவைத்தொடர் மூலம் பட்டிதொட்டியெல்லாம் பிரபலமான எஸ்.என்.சக்திவேல் இந்த தொடரை இயக்குகிறார்.

முதல் தொடரிலேயே நடிகர் பாண்டியராஜன் இரட்டை வேடத்தில் நடிக்கிறார். மலேசிய தொழிலதிபராகவும், சினிமாவில் துணை நடிகராகவும் இரு வேடங்களிலுமே நடிப்பில் அதிரிபுதிரி பண்ணுகிறார்.

"தங்கள் கோடீசுவர பெண்ணை மலேசியத் தொழிலதிபருக்கு திருமணம் செய்துவைக்க முடிவு செய்கிறார் மோகன்ராம். அதற்காக மலேசியாவில் இருந்து பெண் பார்க்கவரும் பாண்டியராஜனை கடத்தி விடுகிறார், ஒரு கார் டிரைவர். அதற்குக் காரணம் சினிமாவில் துணை நடிகராக இருக்கும் பாண்டியராஜனும், இந்த கடத்தல் டிரைவரும் நண்பர்கள்.

பிறகென்ன...கோடீசுவர பாண்டிய ராஜனாக துணை நடிகர் பாண்டியராஜன் மாறுகிறார். கோடீசுவரக் குடும்பத்தின் மருமகனாகும் சமயத்தில் மலேசிய பாண்டியராஜன் துணை நடிகர் பாண்டியராஜனை சந்திக்கிறார்.

இப்போது கோடீசுவர குடும்பத்தின் மருமகனாகப் போவது மலேசிய பாண்டியராஜனா? துணை நடிகர் பாண்டிய ராஜனா? நகைச்சுவைக்குப் பஞ்சம் இல்லாத இந்த தொடர் முழுக்க ரசிகர்கள் சிரித்துக்கொண்டே இருக்கலாம்'' என்கிறார், டைரக்டர் எஸ்.என்.சக்திவேல். தயாரிப்பு: `விஷன்டைம்' வைதேகி ராமமூர்த்தி.
