[tscii:0e063b0d64]The short, tuneful Netri pottil is a lovely listen, reminiscent of Harris’ work for Jeeva, but the reggae-tinged Amali thumali is terribly dull. Aganaga is shockingly soporific, while Gala gala starts off poorly, but works up some charm as it progresses. Even the Sriram Parthasarathy – Bombay Jayashree combo cannot save Venpaniye – the base is that jaded and drowsy. Thankfully, the soundtrack has a smashing savior in Ennamo aedho, an expansive tune punctuated by the fabulous ‘Yeno kuviamilla’ phrase. KV Anand may be a master storyteller, but his music sense continues to be strictly average; Harris doesn’t help either.

KV Anand got a wonderful album from Vidyasagar in his first movie. Since then, it has all been downhill quality wise although from popularity perspective, he can claim escalating success[/tscii:08d015822d]

What was his 1st movie? I like Vidyasagar too but I want to decide whether there is a concerted attempt against Harris :poke:

I think HJ click off well with KV Anand, Ayan songs were good too.

next up must be 7am arivu with, 3 idiots, both with surya, so expectations are very high...

I have the feeling that Harris Jeyaraj always uses the same singers as ARR. He used Kash & Krissy for Engeyum Kadhal and now Yogi B for KO. Coincidence ?

There is no Yogi B in Ko :-S

Though heard before as Harris's trademark, the female aria that comes at roughly two minutes into Ennamo Yeadho is completely immersed in piety. :notworthy:

Home > More news

Vijay Prakash, the singer of the phenomenal hit Hosanna from VTV, the super-hit Kaadhal Anukkal from Endhiran, peppy Veera from Raavanan and Om Sivoham from Naan Kadavul, is all smiles.

Question him about it and he says he is excited about his lineup of Tamil songs in 2011 and is looking forward to it. He has worked with Harris Jayraj recently and says that the music director used him “very differently”.

Vijay says almost all singers are versatile and that it is up to the music directors to use the singer’s strength and get a perfect song. Vijay had also got a chance to try his hand in the rural tracks in Thenmerku Paruvakkatru and has used it to the fullest. Being a trained classical singer, Vijay loves classical the best but is open to experimenting every genre. Wishing Vijay many more hit numbers in 2011.
