View Full Version : Persistent first post on every page of the thread

The first post on the first page of any thread appears repeatedly on every page of the respective thread. Is it a new feature  or a new bug

Note: The page number, the latest post date and the post that appears on top.

It's a new feature. Meant to give a quick intro to people who jump into middle of a thread. It's also useful for long threads that contain an index in the first post. How many of you like/dislike it?

Maybe  for many
But, bit of a hiccup for mobile users, and sometimes confuses the already confused arguments. :P
In course of time, we might like it. Skeptical, now.

RR, Sorry I didn't like it. Moreover first page is just a click away in all the pages except first page. This will only confuse the user.

Actually I thought the website was hacked and its not working as expected :).

I am fine with it. Esp for threads with interesting info in first post - to not cut too fine a point, Vaazhapazha Kazhagam thread, for instance - it is nice to have the first post persistent. I vote FOR.

Thumbsdown.

Distracting and disrupts the flow of discussion.

-1 for this new idea/feature. As VENKIRAJA mentioned, its a painful one for mobile loggers.

The way threads tend to digress wonderfully, the feature not useful.

Thanks RR. You are a true moderator. Too bad you are not contending for US presidency.
