Prem, who had made the best sequel since TGF II, with his masterpiece, Krodham II, is now determined to surpass that indelible achievement with his international thriller, Asoka II!! He plans to release it along side Billa II. but his broad aim is to outdo his idol Will Smith's Men in Black. If Asoka used the same camera as Casino Royale, the sequel will use the camera to be used in Skyfall, the latest Bond movie. But since A-II will be released much earlier, it'd be logical to assume that Sam Mendes & Roger Deakins lifted it from Prem & not vice-versa.

இன்று மட்டும் 6 புதிய படங்கள் வெளியாகியுள்ளன. சிறுமுதலீட்டுப் படங்களுக்கு தியேட்டரகள் கிடைக்க வேண்டும் என்பதற்காக, பெரிய நடிகர்கள் படங்களை பண்டிகை நாட்களில் மட்டுமே ரிலீஸ் செய்ய வேண்டும் என்று தயாரிப்பாளர் சங்கம் கட்டுப்பாடு விதித்துள்ளது.

இதையடுத்து இம்மாதம் ரிலீசாவதாக இருந்த தனுசின் 3, கார்த்தியின் சகுனி படங்கள் தள்ளி வைக்கப்பட்டு உள்ளன (இவர்கள் எல்லாருமே பெரிய நடிகர்கள் வரிசைக்கு வந்துவிட்டார்களாம்!).

தோணி படத்தை பிரகாஷ்ராஜ் இயக்கி நடித்துள்ளார். இளையராஜா இசையமைத்துள்ளார். ஒரு நடிகையின் வாக்குமூலம் படத்தில் சோனியா அகர்வால் நாயகியாக நடித்துள்ளார். 'விளையாடவா' படம் செஸ் விளையாட்டை மையமாக வைத்து எடுக்கப்பட்டு உள்ளது. சூழ்நிலை என்ற படத்தில் சத்யா, நிழல்கள் ரவி, பவினா நடித்துள்ளனர்.

இவை தவிர ருத்ரபூமி என்ற ஆங்கில படமும் இன்று ரிலீசானது. சித்தார்த், அமலாபால் ஜோடியாக நடித்த காதலில் சொதப்புவது எப்படி என்ற படமும், அதர்வா அமலாபால் ஜோடியாக நடித்த முப்பொழுதும் உன் கற்பனைகள் படமும் வருகிற 17-ந் தேதி ரிலீசாகிறது. இதே நாளில் பார்த்தீபன் நடித்துள்ள அம்புலி, 3 டி படம் வெளியாகிறது.

இன்று வெளியாகும் படங்களில் தோணி தவிர, வேறு எந்தப் படத்துக்கும் முன்பதிவுக்கு ரசிகர்கள் கொஞ்சம் கூட ஆர்வம் காட்டாத நிலையே காணப்படுகிறது.

Most expected in my list would be:

1) Thuppaki- Since it is first time ar murgadoss teams up with the national award winner santosh sivan and sreekar prasad plus we have one of the best hollywood cameras that was used for avengers in this. Main thing is its a mystery movie with investigation so will be a solid intellectual role for Vijay after a long time and this kind of genre could really make a new trend in Tamil Cinema. A special point to note is the film is mostly shot with hidden cameras in real locations which will give it a very realistic feel.

2) Vishwaroopam - Kamal Hassan the legend i don't think i need to say anything further as he is more than enough to watch the movie but on top of that it is a international project dealing with terrorism so will be interesting to see how it comes out.

3) Yohan- Extremely impressed with Gvm's work in his latest film Vinnaithandi Varuvaya and expecting to see how he plays out in his upcoming Nee Thane En Ponvasantham. This being the first project of GVM and Vijay should surely be a class film as it is a international project with Vijay playing a spy like James Bond so should be very interesting. A point to note is completely shot abroad and the film has all foreign cast except for the lead actor and actress.

4) Maatran- KV Anand has said Suriya will be doing something very different for this film and its so mysterious we are not able to predict anything but it was clearly indicated that the movie will not only entertain but force us to use our brains so interested to see what turns up.

5) Vishnuvaradhan Ajith project - Im awaiting this more than billa 2 since it wont be a prequel and Im impressed with Arindhum Ariyamalum which was Vishnu's debut in tamil so hopefully a nice class project turns up. Its interesting to know tht acclaimed actors like Prithviraj and Aravind samy are also in this project.

6) Billa 2- The main reason i want to see this film is cause of chakri's extreemly impressive work in UPO which was a great film despite being a remake and as soon as i heard chakri was the director my expectations were high for b2 even though being a flashback film.

yes sir..problem irruku..he is 101 % artificial in any role he plays...never really sticked to the character...all characters he plays have literally had the same voice modulation/dialogue delivery / mannerisms etc..

i beg to differ..as mentioned earlier ...he never really adds anything to a character...think of any of his film - did he bring out any memorable characters..even prasanna(again very low in my books) has an anjadhae which we can see as a character and not as prasanna. but for him i cannot differentiate any role from all the movies he did.

more than gets the job done...he dosnt get what the job is in the first place

Another thing to note on PIZZA : 7.1 sound.
But the question is : Is the listed theatres equiped with 7.1 sound system ?

Anyway a very good technology advancement. The movie watching experience changes completely. Even a "mokka" scene with good BGM and sound system looks "brambandam". Typical Hollywoodian formula.

definitely, this movie is creepy and thrilling ... have no doubts about that..

just that, it uses all the cheap and easy techniques known for ages to create that horror feel.. but still horror thaan .. story kodumai.. climax paarunga.. Mangaatha range-kku vetti scene..

there is nothing thrilling in the story ..

Ambuli for ex.. no loud BGMs.. no sudden surprise shocks.. no pei veedu comedy.. Ambuli padathula, everything is leaked by the other characters.. all spoilers.. just that we are adamant like the lead characters in not believing what people are telling.. and hence the movie is a great thrill ride.. horror/thrill is in the stroy and screenplay... antha padathoda writers :clap:
