Renowned all india fame actor , and favourite of many many of us...passsed away today in mumbai. He was 69.

WE FANS WOULD ALWAYS LOVE U RAJESH KHANNA... :( my heart felt prayers.....

Superstar Rajesh Khanna passed away on Wednesday afternoon at his residence Aashirwad in Mumbai. He was 69. He had been battling prolonged illness for a long time and finally had to bow down in front it.

The actor’s condition had been deteriorating since April when stopped eating and had complained of weakness. He was admitted to Lilavati Hospital twice in the past month.

The actor was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday but due to extreme weakness and low blood pressure the actor was on ventilator since last night.

The actor who shot to stardom in the 1960s was the first 'superstar' of Indian cinema.

He breathed his last in the presence of his wife Dimple Kapadia, daughters Rinkie and Twinkle, son-in-law Akshay Kumar, grand children and close relatives.

Amitabh Bachchan's tribute to Rajesh Khanna

"Time ho gaya hai, pack up". Those were Rajesh Khanna's last words, says Amitabh Bachchan in his blog.

Anand Saigal in Hrishikesh Mukherjee's classic movie ANAND was, in my opinion,
Rajesh Khanna's greatest movie role. Hrishida edited and directed the movie, and co-wrote
the screenplay with Gulzar. Salilda composed music for the movie. Young Amitabh Bachchan
as Dr. Bhaskar Banerjee was impressive, but Rajesh Khanna did steal the show.

Here is ANAND for your viewing pleasure:

Note: The movie is presented here as a tribute to Rajesh Khanna. If this violates any copyright or
other regulations, please inform me so that I could remove it form this forum.

I am such a big fan of Rajesh Khanna that I feel obliged to keep this thread alive, at least for
a little while longer! RED ROSE (1980) was a Hindi thriller directed by Bharathiraja; a remake of
his SIGAPPU ROJAKKAL (1978). Rajesh Khanna had the starring role of Anand, the
psychopathic serial killer. Poonam Dhillon was the costar; and the Music Director was R.D. Burman.
