1) drinks/soft drinks/smoothies/thankali or elumichai rasam/ thaalicha moore.
2) snacks to go with drinks- pakoda/samosa baked/almonds & raisins mixed.
3)main menu:
you can make: 4 poriyals - two vegies / two non vegies ( cauliflr & potato / muttaikose with green peas / beetroot carrot salad/ or cucumber tomato salad or both(two salad will look colorful/ non veg yr choice...;-)
Kootu or avial/more kuzhambu with masala or without masala/ two non veg gravies
pulao/plain rice/ konjam coconut rice (kids love it) or Birinji or biriyani (non veg)
or different types of rice...to make the spread look bigger ;-) puli sadam/ellu sadam/elumichai/coconut/ plain pulao
u can make thakaali rasam or poondu rasam to go with plain rice.
appalam ofcourse..;-)
two sweet - payatham parupu paayasam/paal payasam/ badam kheer/
or
cake/fruit salad/ or icecream with fruits
u can cut or add more items to it...;-) etho ennaalaana menu for u.....hope u can take items from kugan/mine/yr own as well as others opinions & jamaaichi thallidunga......

i have framed a menu, waiting for the approval from my husband.
starters: onion pakoda, corn crunchy salad
in my salad i add little sprouts, kidney beans, coloured capsicums, corns, salad onions, chick peas, olives, jalpenos, cucumber, raw mangoes, garnished with black grapes. seasoning i do with noodles masala, rainbow pepper, drop of olive oil. keep in the fridge.
main course:
chapathi, idiyappam plain and idiyappam bryani
hydrebadi veg bryani, curd rice
side dish
aloo gobi
mutter panner
mutton kofta curry
palak chicken thokku
mixed raitha
dessert
cake - choclate cake
aloo carrot kheer
