Do you find pronounciation of long words hard Skanthan? I find myself having to many sounds jumbling in my mouth sometimes... if it's my mom i will ask her to say the word slowly again and repeat it out loud until i get it right :)

anyways Skanthan do you know how to read thamil script? I do try my best..can read little sentences, movie titles/actors etc...but sometimes i get overwhelmed with long articles.

I do find long words a little difficult sometimes, but then slowly, I get the hang of those words when they come in front of me. As for your second question, I can fluently read Tamil script. I find Tamil sounds/words to be very sweet and pleasing to hear and speak. ie: Na, zha, La, Ra, ja, sha etc... I love the Tamil language sooo much.

Um, skan, may I point out its more accepted to say nalla irukken. Nalladhu jus means good/tats good etc.....:)

2 years ago, Shanthi had me count from 1 to 100 in Tamil! very interesting and somewhat difficult especially in the numbers from 10 to 20 namely because some of those numbers use panni instead of padhi. She said that one day, she will have me count from 1 to 1000! :shock: I hope she was only joking! :lol:

The one letter of the Tamil alphabet that always intrigued me was the letter "ahenam". The one that looks like 3 dots arranged in the form of an upturned triangle. What was that symbols usage? Was it's usage identical to that of the Sanskrit visarga? Was it used to produce sounds such as ga, ha, sa, dha, da, ba, and ja? Once in awhile I will see words with ahenam in Tamil magazines and newspapers and I wont even have a slightest clue as to how I should pronounce these words.
