If you set in one particular part of (say) rural India the language becomes so local that it is as much alien to the rest of the market. Pahadi 'mbAinge, Avadhi'mbainga.

Once they screened Pakeeza in my institute film club and my classmate asked me if I understood Urdu ! I told her I didn't know enough Hindi to know the difference.

So the most local one can get with Hindi is the Bombay taporitalk - which has been represented reasonably well.

I am talking about the complete lack of understanding of how things works. In fact neenga solra maadhiri if the local flavour of the employees had been showcased, it would have been good. OTOH what happened was a simplistic registering of on outsider's view of how a s/w concern, or for that matter any workplace, operates today.

I am saying for all the multiplex-goodness, you can say the same of Bollywood. Even the self-proclaimed great ones. So, I question the need to place them on a higher plane.
