In a recent interaction with the press people, Trisha said that she can go on & on if someone asks her to talk about Ajith. The ‘Ghilli’ girl stated that, Ajith has never changed from the very day she met him, and the moment he comes to the shooting spot, he keeps observing things around him, and extend his hand if someone needs any help.
Trisha added that Ajith is a kind of a person who respect women, and there is no room for partiality in his character. ‘Thala 55’ is Trisha’s fourth outing with Ajith, and second with Gautham Vasudev Menon. The movie is expected to hit the screen by the end of this year. Produced by, A.M. Rathnam the movie has the music score by Harris Jayaraj and camera by Dan McArthur.

Not a fan of him acting with Siva again. After the movie with GVM he should go in that style for a while instead ofswitching back to masala movie right away.
#8YearsofVaralaru. The movie released after facing so many hurdles, went on becoming the biggest hit of the year along with VV. Audio & trailer released a year before the movie release, Geestu Gaana mass audio release function by Madurai fans, long time production leads to change of cast and crew, Sify changing the review rating etc.. lot of memories behind this one movie. A Varalaru indeed.

Thala56 - a big budgeted urban action saga!
Days after completing his film with Gautham Menon, Ajith will kickstart shooting for his next film with Siruthai Siva. The star joins hands with the director for the second time, after the success of their rural entertainer Veeram.
Sources have now revealed that this new film will be an urban action flick, to be shot on a budget of above 50 crores. Siva is currently in the process of finalizing the script, and has confirmed Santhanam to play the role of comedian. Though Hansika has been approached to play the heroine, an official confirmation is awaited in this regard.
AM Ratnam, who has recently produced Ajith's Arrambam and the ongoing Thala55, is expected to produce this flick too. It is worth mentioning that after Nic Arts (9 films), Thala Ajith is doing more films with AM Ratnam, who supposedly looks like a lucky bankroller for the star.

In an exclusive interview with Indiaglitz, A.R. Murugadoss has mentioned that he is waiting for a call from Ajith, and the script is already ready to cast, Thala. “Ajith has given me the life when I was struggling as an assistant director, and I’m ready to direct him anytime. Things are not getting materialized, and hopefully I will work with him in the near future.”
Meanwhile, Murugadoss will be shifting his focus to Bollywood for a woman centric subject featuring Sonakshi Sinha in the lead role. It will be interesting to see whether he picks Ajith or Vijay when he comes back to K-town. Stay tuned for the entire interview.

That is the beauty of Thala. Thala trusts new directors a lot than established directors or directors who are low mainly purely because they have the fire in them and have something in them to excel.
Or may be who knows Thala would have heard about this story from Siva before doing Veeram. He would have wanted to experiment with Veeram before doing this Urbane flick if reports are true as the budget is on the higher side. There could be lots of happenings in the background for Thala to go with Siva when we hear that ARM is waiting for Thala. :)

Thala never fails to surprise me.If he had selected GVM for his 50th film(then GVM wanted to work with him) and after 55th if he would have selected ARM think about the market supremacy he will have
Instead he went with VP for 50th which resulted in one of the most entertaining and I hope even this movie will turn like that
IMO, actually thala is not at all worried about his market if we look at the way he has gone with the selection of the movies, directors etc. He doesn't do movies with established directors just to increase his market value but will do only if he like the story/script too much and the most important of all the compatibility which we have been hearing in various interviews.
Let us take the example of Mankatha...director VP after some successful movies though...he didn't take off...but a movie with thala....pedaled him to different plane altogether...same with Siva....even after Veeram blockbuster...thala wanting to do a movie with Siva which will take Siva to greater heights...
In the meantime when Saran was lying low...thala did Asal with him but it didn't do well....Aalwar new director...that too didn't do well...lost opportunity by the new director...Aegan with Raju Sundaram didn't do that great...
now GVM who was low and had many financial problems...when he is doing a movie with thala when thala called him up....GVM is elated and wants to prove a point...next movie with Siva will be more experimental for Siva if it is an urbane flick and guess Siva can't imagine anybody else but only ajith doing this movie...
