“Nobody can dominate Vijay,” says Sudeep
Sudeep, who reportedly plays a commander in Vijay’s Puli with director Chimbudevan, says nobody can dominate Vijay. “Vijay is a gentleman to the core. Whatever respect I have earned here, I had to go there to realise. I am blessed to have worked with Sridevi. My character has a lot of grey shades. For the personality of Vijay, there was need of such a character. Nobody can dominate him, but there is space for my character,” says Sudeep about his working experience with Vijay.
“During the first schedule, I had a getup that took 45 minutes to get into. I could not sit in the costume and therefore could not remove it in the breaks. In the second schedule, they made a removable costume,” adds Sudeep. Puli eyes release on Sep 17th for Vinayagar Chaturthi
The makers of Vijay’s Puli are planning to release the film on September 17th for the Vinayar Chaturthi festival to cash in on the four-day weekend. The film is currently under post-production with the VFX works already begun under the supervision of Chimbudevan. Vishal has earlier confirmed that Paayum Puli will release on September. So,it’s going to be Vishal vs Vijay at the box office this September.The first look of the film is expected to be unveiled on June22nd to mark the occasion of Vijay’s birthday. Looks like most of the big movies this year has Thalaivar references. I, Komban, Vai Raja Vai, Isai (?) and now Masss.

As far as the movie is concerned, I've had my expectations in check ever since it was announced. VFX/CG and Chimbu do make me a bit nervous as far as the end product is concerned... But that may be just me and I hope and pray my fears are proven wrong after release.
Anyway as far as the pics are concerned, Vijay looks uber cool and even more fitter now. Good to see him probably put some effort to look leaner and fitter...from no angle does he look 40. Maybe preparing for cop role for Atlee project?
I have fear on CD's execution... He had very unique stories... Guess his last one was Kanniyum 3 Kalavaanikalum... The plot was good but dragging when came to execution.
As major company's are into the CG, I guess they can pull things out, but CD should be a major contributor to get what he wants. Lets hope for the Best.

Though Vijays Kaththi was a big hit in 2014, one should wait and see how his upcoming big budget film Puli is going to fare at the box office, especially with unfavorable trend prevailing for big stars films.

gone are the days when movies used to have legs at BO to make more mullah over a period of time. It's only first weekend, week that matters post 2K and this movie will definitely recover the cost in a week or two then dwell into profit. The trend is not a concern, the real concerns should be genre and the director.Quote:
