anban, KK i agree to some extent. despite its irritating and boring scenes at times, it can be tolerated. but kalaignan was total disappointment. very good murder mystery thriller which should have been as interesting and gripping as sigappu rojakkal, gone berserk. KH did over-the-board performance (esply during stage dances and hopeless 'touching' dialogue after one song) unfortunately raja also failed in songs (except endan nenjil). this is purely my feelings.

The audio release function of 'Ai' is going to be a grand carnival as the industry is getting ready to celebrate the most awaited movie of the year. Yesterday, we reported that; co-producer of Aascar movies has met Arnold and officially handed the invitation to him. Now, the big news is, both Kamalhassan & Rajinikanth will grace the occasion and will receive the first copy from the Hollywood Superstar.
In spite of not knowing too much about Tamil Cine Industry, Arnold has readily agreed to take part in the event after seeing few rushes from 'Ai', as reported. The makers are in talks with a popular channel to telecast the event live, and the audio will be available as digital downloads and physical CDs from September 15th itself. Praveen Mani, who assisted Rahman for 'Ai' quoted, each song will offer a brand new experience, and will set a benchmark in Indian music.

Kamal Haasan who also directed, produced, wrote lyrics and rendered his voice for couple of songs in Vishwaroopam, in addition to playing the lead was bestowed with the Behindwoods Gold Medal for Legendary Performance in Vishwaroopam.
In his acceptance speech, Ulaganayagan said, “I had showered Balachander many a times with awards verbally, and this makes it more special and a proud moment to receive an award on the same dais as him".
He also added, “If I had wanted to give out awards personally, I would have chosen the same set of people to be recognized”

There are times when even the closed ones have a tough time recognizing Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan. 'Aachi' Manorama never knew that 'Fletcher' was Kamal himself, even after watching Dasavatharam. There was also a fan-made portrait of Kamal, that had all the make-overs he's done, on one single sketch. The thespian puts in painstaking efforts on his looks for each and every movie. Midget, old lady, commando, cross dresser, he's done it all in style.
The recent photos from the shooting spot of Kamal's Drishyam remake, Papanasam feature him in a modest demeanour sporting a moustache and simple shirts teamed up with the 'dhoti'. Playing the role of a middle-aged family man, Kamal has apparently gotten into the skin of the character, reminding us of his Mahanadi, Singaravelan days more than two decades back.
Age is just a number for this remarkable artiste who continues to surprise, with every passing year.

The Congress Party's promotional film project has run into trouble. Initially a 25-minute release, the story by Aditya Chopra was reworked by Priyanka Gandhi into a three-hour-long old-fashioned Rajshri kind of saga on the Nehru-Gandhi-Gandhi-Vadra families' contribution to the nation. The idea of the big film has led to the big problem.
Titled 'Parivar Ki Dain' and not 'den' which is inhabited by opium addicts and lions as Priyanka Gandhi told the media, the first challenge was that of finding a suitable director. Since numerous documentaries, books and Congress party advertisements on everybody except Robert Vadra are readily available, the Congress Working Committee had zeroed in on Vikram Bhatt who was expected to duplicate the highlights.
Even after Bhatt's name had been finalised, the CWC dropped him before his signing amount had been paid because of his 'inability to do more than just plagiarise.' They approached Rohit Shetty because 'his exaggerations and absurdities make his films very viewer-friendly' according to a party source. Shetty refused as expected, but he was convinced to change his stance with a 100-crore cheque.
Priyanka Gandhi was the initial choice for Indira Gandhi's role. But after she chose to write the big story and also become the Executive Producer to keep a check on expenses, the CWC along with Shetty started negotiating with Priyanka Chopra. Because she has acted in her forthcoming film 'Mary Kom,' Priyanka who now knows how looks can be changed easily agreed. The most important character that appears in countless flashbacks even after it dies was easy to select: Roshan

Getting the right person for Sonia Gandhi's character was difficult. Since she is at home with Indian culture, Priyanka Gandhi approached Julia Roberts first. She turned it down. Her Secretary sent a curt SMS to the self-appointed Executive Producer: 'Julia is annoyed because she finds the character very confusing. So, forget her.'
Fortunately, Meryl Streep who was Shetty's first choice signed on the dotted line. In exchange for her consideration, Streep demanded a hefty fee of 75 crore which has been paid in advance. Aamir Khan who will play Rajiv Gandhi has been in touch with Kamal Haasan for his guidance on how to manipulate height on the big screen. Although Aamir has volunteered to act and won't even bill the CWC for his trailer van's petrol expenses - 'I want to be a part of history' he explained
- Haasan is charging an undisclosed amount to share his technological expertise.
Randeep Hooda will be seen in a blink-and-miss appearance as Robert Vadra. Some Congress politicians will be seen in the roles of other characters such as Feroze Gandhi and Kamala Nehru. All the major leaders have offered to act. However, they will have to undergo screen tests before Shetty takes a final call, our source said.
Although the film will emphasise on the Congress in modern times, Rahul Gandhi was a telephone call in the 25-minute version. In the new one, his character has ten minutes of screen time. The big problem is, nobody wants to play him, including Rahul Gandhi.

Known for experimenting with different things in his films, Kamal Haasan is training in Tirunelveli accent for his next film Bhavanasam, which is the remake of Malayalam blockbuster Drishyam.
Actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan, who is known to experimenting with different things in his films, will be seen speaking in the Tirunelveli accent in upcoming Tamil thriller “Bhavanasam”.
He’s undergoing training for the accent for the movie, which is the remake of Malayalam blockbuster “Drishyam”.
“Kamal will be speaking in the Tirunelveli accent in some portions of the film. He hasn’t used the slang before in his films. Therefore, he’s training in it to get a hang of it from writer Suga,” writer Jeyamohan, who has penned the film’s dialogues, told IANS.
The shooting of “Bhavanasam” is currently happening in Tirunelveli.
Directed by Jeetu Joseph, who helmed the original, the film features actress Gauthami in a comeback role almost after two decades.
