And the lengthy dialogue was from the film RAJA RANI, the clipping showed was only a part of the scene. And if any body watched it keenly, you might have observed Raja Sulochana's reaction for every phrase. Bhimsingh, the man of perfection has taken utmost care in the picturisation of this scene - which was done in one take ... awesome..! Only NT can do it...!

What an emotional roller coaster of a ride that film was. I was thinking this...the the papier mache set, the drawn exterior, the props...all those would be improved if the film was made today...but can we get THAT performance!!!! That intensity!!! Amazing!!! The meeting with the mother, no matter how many times I see it, never failed to draw tears. I mean, forget about NT, the others like OAK Thevar, Muthuraman, and the playful NTR as the cunning shrewd Krishna, that twinkle in eye, the only character who seemed to be talking to us the audience.
Anyway, the autobiography which is more of "Conversation With..."series popular in the other hemisphere. I have crossed 30 pages...that itself was a super freakin' ride. Every superlative thrown seemed like understatement. Still in his teens (the 30th page) NT is already showing that he had always wanted to be a great actor...his inspiration for the Navarathiri grew from the stage day itself watching a comedian doing so and NT credited him for giving the seed for that ambition. Also MRR in his company and how wonderful he was to all the kids in the company, even to the point of cleaning up the bathroom and all  NT called MR Radha a genius! A genius calling another one. Wow!
Anyway, I am looking forward to devour the book and go on to another, one of the 100 series by Savitha Joseph on NT. :bluejump:
what acute observation. :clap:Quote:

mine is the finale scene of உள்ளத்தின் நல்ல உள்ளம். Never fails to move me - killer music by MSV, heart renching singing by Seergazhiyaar, and NT's performance.Quote:

Oh yeah, I forgot to include Asohan...he was especially good in that court scene when naming the Talabathi. While supremely arrogant, shooting down his uncle (Viduran? VSR), humiliating him, he was supportive of Karnan, and yet he was helpless once Bheeshmar was appointed. Interesting how with our Sympathy on Karna, helped by NT's performance, suddenly all the noble characters like Bheeshmar became bad guy for us  Switch NT to the other camp, then we'd have hated Duriyotharar :P Athuthaan persuasive performance-nggurathu. We were sold!Quote:
