This was perhaps done in recording studio. But there's still a'presence' of his. Such is the brilliance of his commanding 'textured' voice.
A nice moment from the film, kg. And, following that scene, when the audience get to see his face for the first time, the way he says, " Yess. I am Rajinikanth, Barrister Rajinikanth.." , holding a glass of beer....wow ! terrific performance.
