Gemini Ganesan was the fitting choice to play the uncle for 5 orphaned children of his brother in Shanthi Nilayam, a brilliant adaptation of the most famous 1965 the sound of music. GG reprised the role of the ex-military officer played with aplomb by Christopher Plummer. Age was no bar for a king of romance...proved beautifully in this movie with marcus burtley's cinematography!
