MS, paruppu podi is the most fav podi for me!!!... paruppu podi with steaming hot rice & ghee or coconut oil is just heavenly!!!... photos ellam potu Ippadi jollu vida vechiteengale!!!(read it in Shivaji style ;) ).. naalaike senjiduren...:slurp:

you can do with any fish.... as long u squeeze lime juice n it and let it steam. make sure there is no trace of bones for cutlet.

Night Kulambu ( simple paruppu kolambu ) whenever we went to shopping or function and came back home really tired amma used to make Night kulambu . I seriously donno how to named it Night kulambhu , but yea ... Its been one of my fav ;)
Ingredients:
Toor Dhal - 2 cups
Tomato 1
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
tamarind sufficiently big lemon size
green chillies 5 (small)
Oil
Salt to taste
Tempering :
garlic - 6 pods
pepper corns 2
jeera 2 tsp
kadugu 2 tsp
curry leaves 1 strand
Garnish : coriander leaves
Method :
1. In a pressure cooker put 2 cups of toor dhal , with 5 cups of water , turmeric powder , oil 2 tsp, chopped tomato , tamrind ( put it as it is , dont try to extract the pulp or anything ), whole green chillies (do not chop), salt. Leave it for 3 whistles
2. Take the matthu ( kadaira kuchi ) I dont know what they call exactly and nalla kadaiyavum so that all the tamarind and green chillies gets into the kolambhu
3. Do the thallippu with chopped garlic , peppercorns , jeeragam , kadugu and curry leaves.
4. Serve with rice or sukka rotti.
PS: If u do not wanna put the onions raw u could fry with oil before pressure cooking it.

Meal maker Salad
Ingredients.
Meal maker (Soya chunks ) 1 cup
Tomato 1 (chopped)
Onion 1 (chopped)
Chilly powder ½ tsp
Green chillies 2
Salt to taste
Chat masala ½ tsp
Curd 1cup
Coriander leaves
Method :
Boil the meal maker (soya chunks ) with sufficient water and partially mash it (as in like a single soya chunk mashed into 4 pieces)
Take a bowl and mix all the ingredients. Garnish with coriander leaves and chat masala.
