Thala VRMBBS is superhit..AP'la average'a vodunatha vachi or personala padam pidikalenna average'a vodunchinu solluvaanga..I even know people calling sivaji/dasavatharam as average at BO becoz they don't like that movie that much..

For me as far as its entertaining I love it and it doesn't matter whether its remake or not..at the same time too much of remake is hatred which any actor shouldn't do..VRMBBS is good entertaining movie for me...
whenever its telecasted in TV I will watch it if I am free..

My point is different. I see kamal as a creator than just an entertaining actor. VR , Dasa, VV, Virumandi, Anbe sivam .... all these were high standard movies of their own genre. Though VV might be pure GVM script ..... thalaivar had an underplay subtle firmness in his role ..... a rarity for him. But remakes do not have anything to offer other than entertainment value. PK also 90 percent tamil audience might not have seen ..... and remake can become superhit becos of thalaivar in controversial role ...... aanaa peruma yaarukku ? Vidhai vidhachavanukku. He is 60. I pray to my God Kamal Haasar to give my hero Kamal Haasan nalla buthi.

100% sure he wont do PK remake..every1 knows he is doing remake is for giving hits + earning more money in short time which he can invest for big budget experimental movie..if he crosses the limit in remakes then its bad

Point taken. Not talking about PK but something like VR-MBBS once a while provides some good entertainment ..

Doing remakes once in a while(after 10 originals or so) is ok. Doing remakes at this point of his time does not add any value to his excellent career. In fact it may reduce his image badly.

Dr, totally agree with you....yaaro potta vidhayile pazham saapidara state laam ivar eppavo thaandi poitaaru. So, hopefully, he won't do PK remake. I too see him more as a creator. He should let the creator have the upper hand always. Enna seiya? Nambalaa avarukku padam edukka kaasu kodukkarom....?

shabba!! avar antha kaalathula irunthae remakes nadichittu thaan irukkaar then and now..by doing remakes he gives chances to other producers,his favourite artists who he cant fit in experimental/different movies as token of love/help..
Our indian heroes are not like Hollywood actors who end up max 20-25 movies in their whole career and acting 1 movie in 3 years..also our fans expects the heroes to provide more movies..how many people are fine with KH acting in experimental movie which takes 3 years in making and finally bombs at BO like heyram..then again next movie after 3 years with BO result unpredictable..

To stay float in market these remakes are necessary as it provides hits mostly which helps him to earn more profits..VRMBBS revived his mass market again after aalavandhaan debacle and its first superhit after thenali..panchathanthiram helped him a bit before VRMBBS..virumandi,PKS,anbesivam,MX were hit/average/flops..compare to waste movie like MMA these remakes are good..too much of experimental movie also not good and too much of remakes also not good..so far he is not doing anything too much..lets stop talking abt PK until its official..

Popular buzz in media circles is that ace villains who ruled Tamil cinema will be honored at the audio launch of Kamal Haasan's Uttama Villain.

When asked, sources close to Thirrupathi brothers have denied it and at the same time they confirmed to us that that Attakkalari dance show will be the highlight of the audio launch.

Uttama Villain audio launch will be happening at Chennai trade center on March 1. Sources say that Ghibran has composed seven songs for the film while two won't be available in the album as it would reveal the story/proceedings of the film.

Eros International who acquired the theatrical rights of Uttama Villain is planning to release the film on April 2.
