Aadhi looks good and did a neat job. Dialogues ellam romba natural. Cinematography pathi naan pesakoodadhu :P

The first half was interesting with scenes revolving around the mysterious death of Ramya as well as the other residents of the flat. The Vasu-Ramya love story was endearing to watch, even though they are on the verge of being clichéd.
But the moment the story enfolds and we get to see the glimpse of the spirit’s involvement, the film starts to head a downfall.
I agree with the hubbers’ observations on the suspense being leaked almost immediately after the murder. If only the director have made anyone else other than the spirit to be the murderer, the film would have been a treat to watch. Heck, even the sister (Saranya) would have been a better choice for the murderer’s role!
The characterizations leave much to be desired. For some reasons, I had great expectation on Sindhu Menon. Nevertheless what you get to see of her in this film is nothing more than a meek, orthodox housewife. It was frustrating to watch Sindhu’s timidness, especially in the scenes where the neighbors and the guard openly spread lies about her and she just end up crying instead of defending herself. Worse still, her plan of trying to commit suicide because her husband doesn’t trust her and aborting the plan at the last minute because she can’t live without him…Man, they could have thought of better scripts than that!
Adhi and Nandha looks reasonably good as the investigating officer and the suave husband respectively…but what’s with the monotonous expressions throughout the film guys???
Director Arivazhagan could also have taken a better approach to deal with the couple’s problems. If being a so-called “second-hand product” is reason enough to make the husband murder his wife, what’s the point of bringing in the Mr. X and the whole adulterous issue as well?
The director might have his own logic in having a spirit to play the pivotal role here but there are great loopholes here and there as well. The scenes where Nanda confesses to the press to being the murderer…only to be told minutes later that it was in fact Sindhu’s spirit which possessed him to do so, was kinda comical. If Sindu can possess her husband and confess to the murder, why not do that in the very beginning? What’s the need to leave him unscathed until the very end?
The bgm was good. Thaman seems to be inspired by Yuvan’s music. You can get glimpses of Yuvan in songs like Mazhiye Mazhiye.
Cinematography is amazing. But the scene where the second victim dies could have been dealt in a much realistic way. It’s really tiring to watch the “Matrix-falling” time and again.
In short, it’s a watchable movie which could have been better if the director has done enough homework.
'If Sindu can possess her husband and confess to the murder, why not do that in the very beginning? What’s the need to leave him unscathed until the very end?'
Apuram ..why 3 hours for the film. Pesama 2 scene la padaththa mudichchu irukkalam :)
There was a scene where Vaasu explains to Ramya showing some investigative magazine that her image is tarnished in the society ("perugi varum kaLLa kaadhal"). So Ramya makes Bala to do this 'confession' thing. Sounds lame, but their logic is right. It was done well too.Quote:

Cannot be ! The way murders have been shown , it is impossible that except a ghost could have done this .If they had shown divya had done it , it is difficult to justify it (or) Did you mena Divya posessed by ghost ?
"For some reasons, I had great expectation on Sindhu Menon."
Unless your GF looks like her , i don't know what kind of expectation you had on her . I thought this was her 'proper' debut film. The characterisations are consistent and thats important. You may not like her ' characterisation' , but thats her character :0

The reason has to be strong enough . Not everybody doubts murders their spouse . Its when the doubt gets confirmed through different sources , incidents ....it occupies one's mind so much that he cannot control himself !

TRUE TRUE !
That is the exact question I wanted to ask the Director...Quote:

The magazine's content was only known to her much later after the death of all the other 4 victims. So maybe you're right in pointing out she wanted him to confess. But what was her plan for him right before the contents of the magazine was known to her? Murder him? Haunt him? If so, why the delay?
The main reason why Ramya killed the 4 victims and attempted to kill the other 2, were that they had contributed to her death (by way of accusing her of committing adultery) but then as Nandha pointed out before murdering her, she was "a second-hand product" thus he can never live with her...so in a way, we know that even without the "adultery" tag on her, she would still have faced an untimely demise.
My question is, why killed the other 4 who had cast a doubt on her innocence but keep the murderer alive?
If revenge was on her agenda, then she would have murdered everyone right from her husband to the 6 others (including Bala's friend and the teenage girl) easily. But if her aim is to clear her name, then she might as well haunt them til they blurt out the truth. Here there's neither.
Exactly, and it is at that point that the movie loses its appeal. The first lady's death seem coincidence so the suspense was kept under wrapped. But when the second murder (the old man) comes about, we know that Ramya's ghost is behind all this. There's no thrill in there (at least for me) after that. Nevertheless, if the murder was executed in a realistic manner (e.q Divya getting to know the truth and murdering the residents one by one), then the thrill and the suspense of "who and why" could have been sustained. (FYKI, the above assumption is not what I had expected to see in the movie but it would have been a lot more intriguing than a ghost murderer.)Quote:

No, she doesn't look like my gf but looks apart, I've seen her in a couple of Malayalam movie where she performed extremely well, therefore watching her as a timid girl who cry at the drop of a hat is definitely frustrating! By the way Eeram is not her debut film. It's either Kadal Pookal or Samuthiram, not sure which.Quote:
